We have in 4th place the
Abraj Al Bait towers in Makkah at 595m.
Then we have the
Burj Khalifa in Dubai standing at 828m.
In second place we have the developing
Madinat al-Hareer in Kuwait. To stand at 1001m.
In first place, we have the proposed
mile-high tower in Jeddah. To be 1600m tall. Almost
double the size of Burj Khalifa!
These are the big towers that I know of in the middle east atm. There's probably more being planned.
Isn't all this very
stark and completely proves the hadiths which mention how bedouin arabs would compete with each other in constructing tall buildings?
Especially that it seems mostly only those in the middle east who are showing concern about building massive skyscrapers nowadays. Almost as though these countries really are
competing with each other.
