I would like to make this thread for posting my humble attempts at capturing timelessness in words. I've been jotting down these lines for quite a few years, at least goes back to 2007. The one's I wrote before, they have sunken into the seas of time and I cannot find their trace. My goal is to post the poems here for you, the reader including myself, to benefit, maybe they will motivate you, or maybe will force you to contemplate. I will also post the date and time when I wrote them so that I can keep track of what modes I went through in those few years. May Allah make it a means of purifying myself and getting closer to Him.

wrapped around celestial waters

deepening around us
were the murky waters
wrapped in our shared grief
and collective tragedy,
but the serpents hath carried
the waters away from our shores.
away, far away,
beyond the zenith of cosmos.

Only if the serpents
could see the patterns of
these blinding shadows of light.
Only if the serpents
could feel the pain of
the mackerel hanging from the shabby branches.
But whose serpents are these?
Of our past .... a shared yesternight.

requiem

The dotting rays of the morning light,
shimmered and flickered
in the bleak sphere of life,
Its luminous intensity and
the vehement savagery,
all poured in
like how the rueful tunes
rush out of the reed of my existence.

demotivated

It was the universe's speck,
muddled in disorder,
expanding,
dilating
in the canyons
of my narrow mind.

On crescents of minarets
and gothic spires,
were hung
the demotivated ones,
because sorrows and heartaches
were devil's heresy ....

Soul scourge

these tormenting days have revealed
unto me the agony of ages,
the echoes of the past
are trapped in my ears,
and call me to the brink
of the shores of pains
onto the ledges of
the cathedrals of my hopes.

I gaze at the thrashing oceans
of timelessness below my feet,
bloody-waters batter against,
and carve pictures
on the stone heart of mine,
its your blessing,
the universe would collapse
onto my head in your absence.

The throes of existence
and meaninglessness
and conflict in nature
penetrate the receptive
carnality of my body,
please take my emotions away
and give back my senses.

you

The vanguard of my chastity,
this insolent misery
and its frigid hooks.
The tapered fissure
awaits your mercy.

Spill crimson ichor
into the gaping senses,
My opaline vase
is your turbid casket,
come, submerge, drown.
