A seven-year-old west London boy has now raised more than £145,000 for Haiti quake victims in a sponsored bike ride.

Charlie Simpson, from Fulham, had hoped to raise £500 by cycling five miles (8km) around South Park on Sunday for Unicef's relief efforts in Haiti.

[...]

Before the bike ride, Charlie wrote on his JustGiving page: "I want to do a sponsored bike ride for Haiti because there was a big earthquake and loads of people have lost their lives.

"I want to make some money to buy food, water and tents for everyone in Haiti."

Isn't he lovely? :)

I wonder if he realises just how much money he has been able to raise!

Greetings and peace be with you glo,

What an amazing story, maybe we should hand over all fund raising to seven year olds. By comparison, our church has only raised seven thousand.

In the spirit of praying for hope for all people.

Good kid. After that perhaps he could raise money for the British economic recovery or much more importantly cancer research.

Masha'Allah, what a nice story. Such a good character trait to want to help others and to actually get out there and put it into action. :)
