How to lower your gaze?

Sometimes even lowing the gaze is problematic. Best solution is to DIVERT your gaze. How to do that? Allahu Alam. Let's wait for some responses from others. :X I feel your pain.

Agree with both of you.Its hard in teenage(Astaghfirullah).
I think Prayer is the best way to remove bad things from our brain.
May Allah lower our gaze.

You should constantly remind yourself of Allah and do your best to not look. Try to look away, i know it's hard but over time you will find it easier. For me, i try the same but sometimes it's a bit 'hard' but i can still manage, you just need a "goal" in your mind and you should be thinking "right, i'm not gonna stray away from this". Not very helpful really.. i dunno. :p

increasing your imaan will help you lower your gaze, im not sure if its the other way around...

The teenage years are the hardest for any man as I understand it, because it's the time when you Testosterone levels are at their highest, as you get older they will decrease and the desires will become less.

A way to decrease your testosterone levels is to watch the food you eat and to fast.

You fast every other day, so you fast 1 day then don't fast the day after that. and then fast the next day and so on. this is what my brother does.

Yes, as you grow there is an increased production of hormones (mainly testosterone) to help your body grow and develop.

I'm not sure as I'm not a man, but from what I understand the higher your testosterone levels the stronger your desire to have relations with the opposite gender.

the things that fuel those desires is food also, fasting is a great way to learn restraint.

of course in the west it is becoming harder and harder for men to not become perveted cos the society promotes sexual promiscuities and lewdness from a young age.

for example little school girls wearing mini skirts and dressed like how an adult escort would address. or a lady who works the streets at night.

so it's quite evident that lewdness is increasing which makes it harder for the men no doubt but you have to get married as soon as possbile and I know that is easy to say and hard to do cos of financial reasons many people can't get married.

but jus be patient till you can get married, continue to fast every other day, find a way to channel the energy in a more positive way.

stay away from watching TV as you will definitely see something that catches your interest. remember allah is watching you.

You can also play with animals.. that will keep you busy.
I can resist because i can think of getting married.

:sl: Concentrate on more important things beside the opposite sex. Read the Quran, fast, be conscious of Allah's presence wherever you are and whatever you do. Remember you can't :hiding: anything from Him swt.

My frnd in school days was walking & this verse came to his mind & he litterally lowered gaze & saw Rs.2 note on ground.... he was very happy for instant reward for following Quran :) ... In those days our pocket money was Rs.1....
