The difference between spreading of Islam and colonizing of the west is the the west comes to plunder and steal you resources, kill your people, oppress them into slavery and force their own religious dogma onto the colonizing lands. Many of the nations that Islam spread too were calling the Muslims to come and take over their lands so they could get some relief from the tyrants ruling over them. Why don't you go study proper history and not the lies your western gov'ts have weaved all these centuries...
Nope. Facts are not facts. This is an islamist documentary, as far as I am concerned it is as credible as Geert Wilder’s Fitnah. But let’s most of what is true, I’m not denying it, just questioning it. If the Ottoman empire could be destroyed by a couple of missionaries and funding of anticaliphate organizations it was either weakened internally before or not much of a state and Islam not much of a connecting force. The Arab nationalism is by far not the only reason for the internal weakness of the Ottoman empire. The latter was not only comprised of Muslims, rather it occupied several nations of different faiths who wished freedom.
The documentary properly the Otomans made the mistake of joning the Axis power which gave the Alliance a legal and legitimate reason to occupy its former lands, which pretty soon gained independence anyway.
French and Brittish colonialism of the 19th century are nothink like you describe. There was no slavery, there was no Christianization, and stealing of resources could be debatable. Muslim took slaves too, they made the laws of their religion the official standard, which the French and the British didn’t, and Muslims took resources too.
And as obvious from the documentary, the Arabs were calling the British, regardless of who arouse the nationalistic feelings in them. Besides theres Armenians and other Christians, the British didn’t send missionaries there yet they revolted anyway and paid dearly for it.
Why don’t you go study history too. As much as you despise what you call western propaganda, you should look into Islamic propaganda from day to day.
