World House Party Day: May 15th 2010
Have you ever thought, would it not be brilliant for people to be able to see the beauty of Islam? Would it not be an amazing feet if people could learn about the teachings of the Messenger of Allah, Upon whom be peace, without prejudging who he was? Would it not be good to be able to just sit down to have a good meal with your non-Muslim neighbour and just catch up, without fear and stereotypes?
Well if you have thought about these things, great news, those questions have been answered and Mercy Mission is to launch a national Islamic Awareness campaign this year, with the permission of Allah. In Ramadan in 2010 you can expect us to:
- Distribute 10 000 Packs of Dates Across The UK
- Cater for up to 5000 People (Muslim & Non Muslim) Iftar
- Distribute Toys at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for Eid Ul Fitr
- Billboard 3 High Streets With The Ahadith of The Messenger of Allah, PBUH
- Decorate 150 Buses With The Ahadith of The Messenger of Allah, PBUH
Now to make this happen, we want everyone to play a small part. I am sure you can imagine just how much resource the aforementioned needs, and yes it is just over £100 000, however this figure only represents one thing; the opportunity to throw a party!
Mercy Mission, in association with our partners, need your help in raising the money, and thus invite you and all those you know to come and participate in World House Party Day (WHPD) on 15th May 2010.
WHPD is a day through which we want your help to ensure 1000 parties occur around the world and raise money to the tune of £100 000 so that we can run the world’s first national Islamic Awareness campaign. We are seeking to run the UK campaign as a pilot and then use this learning to take the project right round the world, so regardless of whether your in the UK or not, this is a great opportunity to help mature a concept to showcase Islam, and today launch something amazing in the UK and tomorrow inshAllah across the world!
