33:4] Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body: nor has He made your wives whom ye divorce your mothers: nor has He made your adopted sons your sons. Such is (only) your (manner of) speech by your mouths. But Allah tells (you) the Truth, and He shows the (right) Way.

the verse is specifically addressing men not humankind and the teacher was trying to see if his students knew why, and what would happen if they substituted one word for the other, (as happened in the bible) and when one answered we all have just one heart whether man or woman, the teacher asked him to reflect on his words.. for surely a woman can carry her heart and that of her unborn infant which maybe one or twins or triplets etc.

There is a reason why the miracles of the Quran are transcendent and its preservation was ever so important..

Ya this verse is really amazing when it is thought about like that. I first heard that explanation from Sheikh Nouman Ali Khan, he is really good mashallah. He gives so many examples similar to this from the Quran. If you were interested by the ayah from surah Al-Ahzab then you have to check out this lecture from Nouman Ali Khan.

Part 1 was good too, but part 2 is about what i was talking about

Subhaanallah! I hadn't ever previously thought about that choice of word at all. An amazing part of the never ending miracles of the Qur'an....

Jazaakillah khayr for sharing, dear sis. May Allah reward you abundantly. Ameen.

Subhan Allah! :statisfie
Truly Quran is a miracle! The choice of words, its preservation and just everything about it is a miracle!
Jazakamullahu khair my sweet sis lily for such a great share!

You know there was one more verse in Quran which reflects Allah's perfect choice of words.
That verse actully stated that no one knows what type of child is in mother's womb. But many translators translated it wrongly that ''no one knows the sex of the child in mother's womb''.
Now this translation obviously led to a great cry as in this age of science and technology, one can easily know the sex of child.
So later, the Arabic text was analyzed and this mistake was corrected. ALLAH didn't say that no one can know the SEX of the child, but Allah actully said that no one knows HOW the child turn out to be. Whether he be a good person or bad etc.
So this tells us how perfect each and every word of the Quran is! And also that translators should be extremely careful as Quran's language is Divine and simply
ALLAHU AKBAR! :D
