Well they've banned Bilal Phillips also :hmm: :( I don't think I'll be seeing him at the anual summer conference that my local masjid has now :(

Is there anything we can do to get them unbanned? :(

In another move made by UK authorities that would increase the already created controversy after the ban of world renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik, another personality Dr. Bilal Philips, who is a world renowned Canadian Islamic Scholar, was denied entry into UK.

This “entry denial” was not informed to him, prior to his visit by the UK authorities. Dr. Bilal Philips was scheduled to arrive in UK to attend the Quran Conference which was due to be held on 20th June. He arrived on June 18th for the same, only to get surprised that he was denied entry. He had no option but to return back to Doha.

In response to one of our correspondent, Dr. Bilal Philips said “Well, the inevitable finally happened. At least the British Home Secretary called Dr Naik in Mumbai prior to his trip and told him not to come. I arrived to London this Saturday morning, 19 June, at 8am only to denied entry and put back on a plane at 11am back to Doha! So, I was unable to attend the Qur’aan conference on the 20th as planned!!! Sorry to all who attended the conference expecting to hear from me or see me”. He further added “Allah is the best Protector and disposer of our affairs”.

According to the reports, Even the conference was harassed by the British National Party and had to change their venue at the last moment.

With the protests still on for the ban imposed on Dr. Zakir Naik, this denial of entry to another renowned personality of the Muslim world will only add more fuel to the ongoing controversy.

Muslims from around the world have protested that UK authorities, who were forefront in backing “freedom of expression and speech”, is acting otherwise.

^ Sadly, things are being harder every day for muslim preachers in the west. I just don't understand what is behind these bans?

Anyway, Allah will never let down his deen, and from history, Islam showed to be as effective with bans and censorship, as in a free environment. khayr insha'Allah.

Two good Muslims are banned for preaching peace. This is a war against Islam, not against terror

I just don't understand what is behind these bans?
Because more and more people are accepting Islam, especially as Dr Zakir Naik has such a huge audience, and they don't want that happening. They want to ban Islam. They want to ban the truth. They want to ban good community relations. They want to ban free speech. To Ban all good. Just ban ban ban.

They claim Dr Zakir Naik is a threat, based upon extracts taken out from his speech, and which have been twisted and taken all out of context. Pathetic.

^ he's a Muslim and he's influential not to mention politicians want to make a good word for themselves.

need i say more?

This is a war against Islam, not against terror
democracy is hypocritical or the reason that if/when politicians have an agenda, they go straight for jugular and use whatever means they can to get themselves in authority even if it means using people as pawns in their sick little game. In fact, quite often this is exactly what they do. its just a fight to get to the top. they don't really care about their people and what they can do for them-that's just an excuse they use to get to the top and the best and most effective way and the only way they can get into power, is to get as many people on their side as possible. how do they do this? they appeal to their (the peoples) emotion/whatever it is they feel that the people will favor-in this day and age muslims and Islam.

other then that, we may get targeted for the plain and simple reason that Islam is the biggest threat to their laws, etc-and they know it. all too well.

i personally fear the affect that this islamiphobic tide will have on my (this) country. i hate poli's so bad. they are the worst hypocrites plus they cant crack a joke to save their life.

Not unexpected! :( They would try to ban each and every Islamic scholar if they can. But this would not stop Islam from being spreading to even the far corners of the world! I don't know whether we can do anything in Bilal Philip's regard but there is one website which calls for protest against the unjustified exclusion order of Dr. Zakir Naik.

"The constant reminder that we are always going to be targeted for speaking the truth. Kamal al-Makki = banned from UK for NO REASON, Zakir Naik = banned from UK as is not "condusive for social good", Bilal Philips = banned for having views that "condone and encourage extremism", Murtaza Khan, Abu Usamah, Muhammad Jibaaly, Khalid Yasin, Assim al hakeem, all called extremist preachers" Abu Yusha

Its just that they are afraid that if islam spreads , then there will be no more enjoyment ( no pork ,no alcohol , no dancing , no pornography , no prostitution)

I will not be too suprised if they ban Yusuf Estes and Abdul Rahim Green as well

They are afraid of the dawah being done, they want our dawah to become lifeless. I think people should take dawah courses also and learn how to call to Islam. Scholars have written whole books on giving dawah. And there's online courses you can do, if we all learn how to do dawah effectively then they will have a big problem.

What do expect from a country that allows EDL to march up down it streets? :hmm:

Plus, there's always the internet and the T.V.

Haven't you heard? Apparantly the racist, low IQ goons in the EDL aren't as threatening to national security as an Indian scholar who seldom even mentions violence or terrorism.
