REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "ON JUMUAH (FRIDAY)" ✦

It was narrated that Abu Lubaabah ibn ‘Abd al-Mundhir said: The Prophet (pbuh) said: “Friday is the master of days, and the greatest of them before Allaah...." [Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1084; classed as hasan by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 2279]

••••►Please LIKE/SHARE/COMMENT

Following are the sunnahs which we can do and get reward on Jumuah (Friday):

❂ Praying Fajr in congregation ❂

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best prayer before Allaah is Fajr prayer on Friday in congregation.” [Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Eemaan; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1119]

❂ Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer) ❂

1 ➲ Bathing on the day of Jumuah

It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that he said the Messenger of Allah sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam said: "If one of you comes to Jumuah, let him have a bath." [Bukhari & Muslim: #1951 & #977]

2 ➲ Going early to Jumuah prayer

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said the Messenger of Allah sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam said: "When Friday comes, at each door of the mosque there are angels who write down the first ones to come to the mosque. The one who comes early is like who sacrificed a camel, then those who come after him are like one who sacrificed a cow, then one who sacrificed a horned ram, then one who sacrificed a chicken, then like one who offered an egg. Then when the imaam sits down they close their books and come to listen to the sermon." [Bukhari & Muslim: #929 & #1964]

3 ➲ Walks to Jumu’ah prayer, for every step he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year.

It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafi that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever does ghusl on Friday and causes (his wife) to do ghusl, and sets out early, and comes close to the imam and listens and keeps quiet, for every step he takes he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 496; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 410]

4 ➲ Listening attentively to the Jumu’ah Khutbah (Sermon)

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If you say to your companion, ‘Listen attentively’ on a Friday, when the imam is delivering the khutbah, then you have engaged in idle speech.” [Narrated by al-Bukhaari (934) and Muslim (851)] ~ Read here for further information regarding 'The virtue of listening attentively to the Jumu’ah khutbah': http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/89575

❂ Seeking the hour of having one's prayer answered on Jumuah day ❂

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) that the day of Jumuah was mentioned and the Messenger of Allah sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam said: "On this day there is a time when no Muslim stands and prays, asking Allaah for something, but Allaah will grant him it" – and he gestured with his hands to indicate how short that time is. [Bukhari & Muslim: #935 & #1969] ~ Read here for further information regarding 'the hour of response': http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/21748

❂ Reading Surah Al-Kahf on Friday ❂

“Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” (Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhreej al-Adhkaar that this is a hasan hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Soorat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6470) ~ Read here for further information regarding 'reading Surah Al-Kahf on Friday': http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/10700

Honesty leads to Paradise, dishonesty leads to Hell.

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyAllaahu 'anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said,

“Verily, truthfulness leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man may speak the truth until he is recorded with Allah as truthful; and verily, lying leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to the Hellfire. A man may tell lies until he is recorded with Allah as a liar.”

we should NOT write it as
"inshAllah"
Or
... "inshallah"
because it means:
"Create ALLAH" (naozobillah).

Whether Arabic
or
English, please make sure we write it properly as

"In Shaa ALLAH"

(IN 3 SEPERATE WORDS).
This means:
"if ALLAH wills"

I didn't realize this mistake myself until I read this.

So make sure u frwrd ths to everyone & help them correct their mistake too..!

Revive a Sunnah : Don't Curse

It is narrated by Um Al-Darda' that she heard Abu Al-Darda' saying, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said,

WHEN A PERSON CURSES SOMEBODY OR SOMETHING, THE CURSE GOES UP TO HEAVEN AND THE GATES OF HEAVEN GET CLOSED. THEN, IT COMES DOWN TO THE EARTH AND ITS GATES GET CLOSED. THEN, IT TURNS RIGHT AND LEFT, AND IF IT DOES NOT FIND AN ENTRANCE TO GO ANYWHERE, IT RETURNS TO THE PERSON CURSED, IF HE DESERVES TO BE CURSED; OTHERWISE IT RETURNS TO THE PERSON WHO UTTERED IT.

Don't worry about the haters and backbiters, inshaAllah they will be a great asset on the day of judgment. Just because they defamed you in front of others, Allah will raise your honor by allotting their good deeds to you, and when their good deeds run out, they'll take the burden of your sins. Isn't it amazing to have people who talk bad about you behind your back?

Thus, stand firm in pursuit of righteousness, the bigger the opposition, the bigger the potential asset. :D

Bukhari :: Book 6 :: Volume 60 :: Hadith 175
Narrated Ibn Abbas:

When the Verse:-- "If there are twenty steadfast amongst you, they will overcome two hundred." (8.65) was revealed, then it became obligatory for the Muslims that one (Muslim) should not flee from ten (non-Muslims). Sufyan (the sub-narrator) once said, "Twenty (Muslims) should not flee before two hundred (non Muslims)." Then there was revealed: 'But now Allah has lightened your (task)..' (8.66)

So it became obligatory that one-hundred (Muslims) should not flee before two hundred (non-muslims). (Once Sufyan said extra, "The Verse: 'Urge the believers to the fight. If there are twenty steadfast amongst you (Muslims) ..' was revealed.) Sufyan said, "Ibn Shabrama said, "I see that this order is applicable to the obligation of enjoining good and forbidding evil."

Muslim :: Book 40 : Hadith 6830
Umar b. Muhammad b. Zaid b. 'Abdullah b. 'Umar b. al-Khattab reported on the authority of his father Abdullah b. Umar that Allah's Messenger (may peace big upon him) said: When the inmates of Paradise would go to Paradise and the inmates of Hell would go to Hell, death would be called and it would be placed between the Paradise and the Hell and then slaughtered and then the announcer would announce: 0 inmates of Paradise, no death 0 Inmates of Hell-Fire, no death. And it would in. crease the delight of the inmates of Paradise and it would increase the grief of the inmates of Hell-Fire.

Bukhari :: Book 1 :: Volume 3 :: Hadith 98
Narrated Abu Huraira:

I said: "O Allah's Apostle! Who will be the luckiest person, who will gain your intercession on the Day of Resurrection?" Allah's Apostle said: O Abu Huraira! "I have thought that none will ask me about it before you as I know your longing for the (learning of) Hadiths. The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said sincerely from the bottom of his heart "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah."

And 'Umar bin 'Abdul 'Aziz wrote to Abu Bakr bin Hazm, "Look for the knowledge of Hadith and get it written, as I am afraid that religious knowledge will vanish and the religious learned men will pass away (die). Do not accept anything save the Hadiths of the Prophet. Circulate knowledge and teach the ignorant, for knowledge does not vanish except when it is kept secretly (to oneself)."

The Prophet said, "If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel saying, 'Allah loves so and-so; O Gabriel! Love him.' Gabriel would love him and make an announcement amongst the inhabitants of the Heaven. 'Allah loves so-and-so, therefore you should love him also,' and so all the inhabitants of the Heaven would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth

It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdur-Rahman b. Abu Bakra that his father said:

We were in the company of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) that he observed: Should I not inform you about the most grievous of the grave sins?

The Holy Prophet repeated it three times, and then said: Associating anyone with Allah, disobedience to parents, false testimony or false utterance.

The Holy Prophet was reclining, then he sat up, and he repeated it so many times that we wished that he should become silent.

“The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk, and the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows. So as for the seller of musk then either he will grant you some, or you buy some from him, or at least you enjoy a pleasant smell from him. As for the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows then either he will burn your clothes or you will get an offensive smell from him.”

1 MILLION VIRTUES + 1 MILLION SINS FORGIVEN + 1 MILLION GRADES RAISED

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise. He brings life and He causes death, and He is living and does not die. In His Hand is all good, and He is Able to do all things.

[Reference: At-Tirmithi 5/291, and Al-Hakim 1/538. Al-Albani graded it good in Sahih Ibn Majah 2/21 and Sahih At-Tirmithi 3/152.]

It is stated in the hadith that if a person reads the above du’aa in the market place, Allaah writes ten lakh rewards for him and forgives ten lakh sins and raises his status by ten lakh, and a house is prepared for him in Jannah.

Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say],

"We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position." Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.

REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "DON'T DELAY REPENTANCE" ✦

Someone might say: "I want to repent but my sins are too many." But Allah Says what means: "Say: 'O my slaves who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Turn to Allah in repentance and seek His forgiveness, for I make repentance to Him a hundred times every day." REVIVE A #SUNNAH ⇨ "#PURIFY YOUR #HEART FROM #MALICE AND #ENVY" ✦

The Man went to #Paradise because he purified his heart from Malice and Envy.

Anas ibn Malik (رضى الله عنه) said that when he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم), he said: “Coming upon you now is a man from the people of Paradise.” So a man came from the Ansar whose beard looked disarrayed by the water from Wudu (ablution), and he was carrying both of his shoes with his left hand.

The next day the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) repeated the same words, and the Ansar came in the same condition.

The third day the #Prophet repeated the same again, and the Ansar man showed up in the same condition.

When the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) stood up to leave, Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Al-’As followed the man and asked him, “I have quarreled with my father and I have sworn not to enter my home for three days. May I stay with you?” He said: “Yes.”

Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Al-‘As stayed three nights with him but never saw him praying at night, and whenever he went to bed, he would remember Allah and rest until he woke up for Fajr prayer.

Abdullah said that he never heard anything but good from his mouth. When three nights had passed and he did not see anything special about his actions, Abdullah asked him, “O servant of Allah! I have not quarreled with my father nor have I cut relations with him. I heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) say three times that a man from the people of Paradise was coming to us, and then you came. So I thought I should stay with you and see what you are doing that I should follow, but I did not see you do anything special. What is the reason that the Messenger of Allah spoke highly of you?”

The man said: “It is as you have seen.” When Abdullah was about to leave, the man said, “It is as you have seen, except that I do not find fraud in my soul towards the Muslims, and I do not envy anyone because of the good that Allah has given them.”

Allāhumma inni asaluka al-'āfiyah

very beautiful dua. We can say it in our Sujood.

Al-'Abbās, the uncle of the Prophet (pbuh), came to the Prophet (pbuh) and said, “Ya Rasūlullāh, teach me a du'ā'.” The Prophet said, “O my uncle, say: Allāhumma inni asaluka al-'āfiyah (O Allāh, I ask you for 'āfiyah).”

What is 'āfiyah?

'Āfiyah means “to save me from any afflictions.

To be healthy, you are in 'āfiyah. To have enough money to live, you are in 'āfiyah.

To have your children protected, you are in 'āfiyah. And if you are forgiven and not punished, you are in 'āfiyah. 'Āfiyah means “O Allāh, protect me from any pain and suffering.” This includes dunya and ākhirah. Al-'Abbās thought about this for a while, and then he came back after a few days and said (paraphrased), “Ya Rasūlullāh, this du'ā' seems a little short. I want something big.”

The Prophet (pbuh) said, “My dear uncle, ask Allāh for 'āfiyah for wallāhi, you cannot be given anything better than 'āfiyah.” It is a simple du'ā'.

Sincerely mean what you say. “O Allāh, I ask You to be saved from any distress, grief, hardship, harm. Don't test me.” All of this is included in “Allāhumma inni asaluka al-'āfiyah”. By Yasir Qadhi

Observing a Retreat in the Mosque (I`tikaf)

Observing a retreat in the mosque is of the best things we can do during the last ten nights of Ramadan. Aisha tells us: "The Prophet used to observe a retreat in the mosque during the last ten nights of Ramadan up until he died. His wives continued to observe this practice after his death." (Al Bukhari & Muslim)

The practice of i`tikaf is a strongly recommended act. It is defined as remaining in retreat in the mosque for the express purpose of worship. The purpose of doing so is to devote one's heart exclusively to Allah . The person engaging in i`tikaf keeps this intention close to mind and seeks Allah's blessings. He should not forget the reason why he is observing this retreat.

A person observing i`tikaf does not leave the mosque except for what is absolutely necessary (like going to the bathroom). While in the mosque, he should busy himself with the remembrance of Allah . He should make sure to offer the remembrances of the morning and evening and the prescribed remembrances for the five daily prayers. He should perform all of the Sunnah prayers. He should read as much of the Quran as he can.

He should spend less time eating and sleeping as little as possible. He should avoid unnecessary talk. However, he should engage in advising his fellow Muslims and in enjoining them to truth and to patience.

"THE SUNNAH OF THE DAY OF #EID" ✦

THE SUNNAH OF THE DAY OF EID -:- EVERY MUSLIM SHOULD OBSERVE:

1 – Doing Ghusl before going out to the Prayer.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to do ghusl on the day of Fitr before going to the place of prayer. [Malik :: Book 10 : Hadith 10.1.2]

2 – Eating before going out to pray on Eid al-Fitr:

Narrated Anas bin Malik,: Allah's Apostle never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of 'Id-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates. Anas also narrated: The Prophet used to eat odd number of dates. [Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 15 :: Hadith 73]

Whoever does not have any dates may eat anything that is permissible.

3 – Takbeer on the day of Eid

The time for takbeer on Eid al-Fitr starts from the night before Eid until the imam enters to lead the Eid prayer.

It was narrated in a saheeh report that ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sulami said, “They (companions) emphasized it more on the day of al-Fitr than the day of al-Adha.”. Wakee’ said, this refers to the takbeer. [See Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 3/122/]

Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated with a saheeh isnaad that al-Zuhri said: The people used to recite Takbeer on Eid when they came out of their houses until they came to the prayer place, and until the imam came out. When the imam came out they fell silent, and when he said takbeer they said takbeer. [See Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 1/121]

4 – Offering Congratulations

It was narrated that Jubayr ibn Nufayr said: When the companions of the Prophet PBUH met one another on the day of Eid, they would say to one another, " تَقَبَّلَ اللَّهُ مِنَّا وَمِنْك 'Taqabbal Allaahu minna wa mink' '(May Allaah accept (this worship) from us and from you)". [Ibn Hajar said, its isnaad is hasan. Al-Fath, 2/446.]

5 – Adorning oneself on the occasion of Eid.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Umar: Umar bought a silk cloak from the market, took it to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Take it and adorn yourself with it during the 'Id and when the delegations visit you." Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) replied, "This dress is for those who have no share (in the Hereafter)." [Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 15 :: Hadith 69]

The Prophet PBUH agreed with ‘Umar on the idea of adorning oneself for Eid, but he denounced him for choosing this cloak because it was made of silk.

Narrated Naafi: Ibn ‘Umar used to wear his best clothes on Eid. [Sunan Kubra Bayhaqi 6363, Sahih Isnaad]

So a man should wear the best clothes that he has when going out for Eid.

6 – Going to the Prayer by one route and returning by another.

Narrated Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah RA: "On the day of Eid, the Prophet PBUH would vary his route, i.e., he would go via one route and come back via a different route". [Bukhaari 986]

“Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days from Shawwal it is as if they fasted the entire year.”

REVIVE A #SUNNAH ⇨ Stop wearing Gold & Silk O brothers✦

‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (sallAllahu 'alyhi wasallam) took a piece of silk in his right hand and some gold in his left, then he said •► “These two are haraam (forbidden) for the men of my ummah.”

[Abu Dawood (4057), al-Nasaa’i (5144) and Ibn Maajah (3595), Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood].

Al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Sharh Muslim (14/32) •► With regard to gold rings, they are haraam for men according to scholarly consensus. The same applies if they are part gold and part silver. Our companions said: If the top of the ring is gold or if it is lightly plated with gold, it is haraam, because of the general meaning of the hadeeth concerning silk and gold, “These two are haraam for the males of my ummah and halaal for the females.”

Want to get EIGHT gates of PARADISE opened for yourself & enter through any one that you wish???

I heard these words from that speech •► "If any Muslim performs ablution well, then stands and prays two rak'ahs setting about them with full khush'oo in his heart and face, Paradise would be guaranteed to him."

I [Uqba] said: "What a fine thing is this!" And a narrator who was before me said: "The first part (of the hadeeth) was even better than this. When I cast a glance, I saw that it was 'Umar who said: "I see that you have just come and observed, The Prophet (sallAllahu 'alyhi wasallam) said •► "Whoever of you performs Wudu' carefully and then affirms: `Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallahu Wahdahu la sharika Lahu, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa Rasuluhu [I testify that there so no true god except Allah Alone, Who has no partners and that Muhammad (sallAllahu 'alyhi wasallam) is His slave and Messenger],' the eight gates of Jannah are opened for him. While many of us are cold, complaining of the weather, our past predecessors rejoiced at the coming of this season….Why?

Because Al Hasan Al Basri said:“The best season to a believer is the winter, its nights are long for those who wish to pray, and its days are short for those who wish to fast”

It is reported from Abu Hurayrah – Allah be pleased with him – that he said:

Shall I not point you to comfortable proceeds? People responded, “And what is that o Abu Hurayrah?” He replied, “Fasting in winter.”

It is reported from ‘Umar – Allah be pleased with him – that he said:

Winter is booty for the devout worshippers.

It is reported from ‘Ubayd bin ‘Umayr – Allah have mercy on him – that he said:

It used to be said when winter came: O people of the Qur`an, the night has become long so you can pray (more) and the day has become short for you to fast.

Abu Nu’aym, Hilyah Al-Awliyaa`.

It is reported from the famous worshipper Rabi’ah – Allah have mercy on her – that she said:

I have never heard the adhan except that I remember the caller who will announce the Day of Resurrection, and I never see the falling snow except that I imagine the flying pages of the records of peoples deeds (on that day), and I never see swarms of locusts except that I think about the Great Gathering on the Last Day.

REVIVE A #SUNNAH ⇨ "DO NOT CALL 'SLAVE' TO THE SERVANT, 'LORD' TO THE LEADER" ✦

No servant should be called “Slave” and no leader should be called “Lord”

Abu Huraira (radiyAllaahu 'anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“None of you should say, “My slave” for all of you are the slaves of Allah. Rather, you should say, “My boy.” And the servant should not say, “My Lord” but rather he should say, “My leader.””

#REVIVE A #SUNNAH ⇨ "DO NOT CUT OFF FAMILY TIES" ✦

Whoever cuts off family will not enter Paradise.

Jubair ibn Mut’im (radiyAllaahu 'anhu) reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: “The one who cuts off will not enter Paradise.”

Ibn Umar said that Sufyan explained: “One who cuts off family ties will not enter Paradise.”

[Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Number 6199]

Allah says in the Quran (interpretation with meaning):

“The believers are nothing else than brothers (in Islamic religion). So make reconciliation between your brothers.” (49:10)

“… and fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (do not cut the relations of ) the wombs (kinship)…” (4:1)

Imaam ibn Al Qayyim—may Allah have mercy upon him—said: He went to his Shaykh—Shaykh of Islam ibn Taymiyyah—because he wanted to speak to him about something, or to take knowledge from him. So he found him siting remembering Allah. He was too afraid to speak to him until he finished from the remembrance of Allah.

Then he turned to him and said: 'How long have you been here? Since such and such a time and I am waiting.'

Thus the Shaykh (Ibn Taymiyyah) may Allah have mercy upon him said: ‘This (Dhikr) is my breakfast, if I do not take my breakfast, I would not have strength to work that day’.

Thus his portion of remembrance was his breakfast which gave him strength to deal with work during his day; may Allah have mercy upon him. And this is how the Muslim is.

Fard of Ablution

Winter is coming and sadly many Muslims will quit salat as
they will feel lazy to do the ablution . Some have problems
with cold .

My request is , do the Fard of ablution as mentioned in
holy Quran . It only takes few seconds to do so . Pl don't
try to find any excuse to avoid wadu.

Share it with those who don't know about fard of ablution
and miss salat.

Remember , it's not good to avoid sunnat all the time . So
, don't make it a habit .

O you who believe! When you stand (intend) to offer the Salah (the
prayer), then wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the
elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your
feet up to the ankles Chapter 5: verse 6

It consists of four simple steps:

1.Washing the face once.

2.Washing both the arms including the elbows once.

3.Performing masah of one-fourth of the head.

4.Washing both the feet once up to and including the ankle

Don’t ever think there is a darkness too deep for Allah to rescue you from.

One of the absolute most powerful #Duas in history was that of #Yunus (alahissalam) from inside the darkness of the belly of the whale: “La illaha illa anta subhanaka inee kuntu min al-dhalimeen” “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.”

Allah freed him from the DEEPEST depths of the ocean, inside the darkest belly of a whale! He cured him and forgave him.

Revive a Sunnah :

FASTING REMINDER: This is to remind us about one of the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam) regarding fasting on the 13th, 14th & 15th of the lunar month.

For the month of Safar 1435H, these days correspond to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (December 16, 17 & 18). Check your local calendar for confirmation.

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas said: The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllahu 'alayhi wasallam) said to me: “It is sufficient for you to fast three days every month, because for every good deed you will have (the reward of) ten like it, so that will be like fasting for a lifetime.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (1874); Muslim (1159).

May Allah accept all our good deeds and forgive us for all our sins. Ameen.

REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "BEFORE, DURING & AFTER EATING" ✦

How many times you eat per day? 2 - 3 meals per day & night? Is there any snack time in between? Guess what !!! By applying these wonderful sunnah on eating... again... many rewards you will get. MashaAllaah !!!

••► LIKE/SHARE & SPREAD THE MESSAGE!

Sunnahs Before & During Eating:

1 ➲ Mentioning Allah’s name.

(Pronounce the Tasmiyah: "[بِسْمِ اللهِ] ~ "in the name of Allah")

2 ➲ Eat with (using) the right hand.

3 ➲ Eating from what is (placed) in front of the eater.

These Sunnahs are gathered in this hadith:
"O boy, mention Allah’s name, use your right hand and eat from what is (placed) in front of you." [Muslim, The Book of Drinks, Hadith 2022]

4 ➲ Rubbing the bite, if it falls, and eating i

The hadith:
"... if a bite falls from anyone of you, he should rub the dirt off it, then eat it…." [Muslim, The Book of Drinks, Hadith 2034]

5 ➲ Using three fingers in eating

The Prophet (PBUH) used to eat using three fingers. [Muslim, The Book of Drinks, Hadith 2032]

This is what he (PBUH) often did and this is better, except when necessary.

6 ➲ The way one sits while eating

Kneeling on his knees and the upper face of his feet, or extending the right leg and sitting on the left one, this is the preferable as stated by Al-Hafedh in “Al-Fat’h”.

Sunnahs after eating:

1 ➲ Licking the dish and the fingers

The Prophet (PBUH) ordered (us) to lick the fingers and the dish and said:
"you do not know in which of them the blessing lies." [Muslim, The Book of Drinks, Hadith 2033]

2 ➲ Praising Allah after eating

(Allah is satisfied with the slave, who eats a meal, then praises Him for it). [Muslim, The Book of Drinks, Hadith 2734]

One of the Prophet’s (PBUH) supplications after eating:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا الطَّعَامَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

(All praise is to Allah, Who Has fed me and provided me with this without any strength or power on my part).

The fruit of this supplication: (all his precedent sins are forgiven)

[At-Tirmidhee, The Book of Supplication, Hadith 3458; Ibn Majah, The Book of Food, Hadith 3285; Shaykh Al-Albanee graded the naration as good]

* The total of Sunnahs, which the Muslim should keep when eating is not less than [15] Sunnahs, supposing that he eats three meals per day and night, and this is what most people have. One may increase these Sunnahs, if there are snacks between these three meals.

REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "WHEN GOING TO SLEEP" ✦

These following Sunan can be fulfilled everytime we sleep, during the day and night. [Please Share !!!]

1 - Dust the bed: "... When one of you goes to bed, let him dust the bed because he does not know what comes into it before or after him." [Bukhari: 6320; Muslim: 2714]

2- Sleeping on Wudoo` and lie on right side.

The Prophet, sallAllahu 'alayhi wa salam told al-Baraa` bin 'Aazib, radiallahu 'anh, If you go to your bed, then do your wudoo` (ablution) as you would do it for prayer, then lie on your right side" [Agreed upon (Bukhari: 6311.Muslim: 2710)]

3 - Place the right hand under the right cheek.

"When the Prophet (sallAllahu alaih wasallam) retired to bed at night, he (sallalahu alaih wasallam) would put his hand under his (right) cheek and then say, "Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya (O Allah, by Your Name I die and I live)" and when He (sallalahu alaih wasallam) got up (from sleep), he (saws) would say, "Al-Hamdu lil-lahi al-ladhi ahyana ba`da ma amatana, wa ilaihi an-nushur (Praise be to Allah Who gave us life after death, and to Him is the return." [Bukhari: 6314; Muslim: 5045]

4 - Recite Soorat Al-Kaafirun (109:1-6)

From its benefit: It frees the person from Shirk. [Aboo Dawood: 5055; At-Tirmidhee: 3403; Ahmad: 23807; Al-Hakeem: 2121]

5 - Reading Soorat al-Ikhlaas, al-Falaq and an-Naas before sleeping.

From 'Aishah radiallahu 'anha, the Messenger, sallAllahu 'alayhi wa salam used to recite "Qul huwallahu ahad", "Qul a'oothu birrabilfalaq" and "Qul a'oothu birrabinnaas" every night when he went to sleep, then wiped his face and whatever he was able from his body, beginning with his head and face, and what faces him from his body, three times". [al-Bukhaari: 5017]

6 - Recite 2 last ayat of Soorat Al-Baqarah (2:285-286)

"Whoever read them (i.e. the last two verses) at night they will be kafataa for him (sufficient for him regarding the night prayer, or/and also sufficient in protection from every evil, misfortune, and harm. [Bukhari: 5009]

7 - Recite ayah al-Kursee (Soorat Al-Baqarah 2: 255)

Benefit: For whoever reads it, there would remain a protection over him from Allaah and Shaytaan would not come close to him. [Bukhari: 5010]

8 - Doing takbeer and tasbeeh when going to sleep

'Ali, radiyAllahu 'anh narrates that the Messenger of Allah, sallAllahu 'alayhi wa salam said when Faatimah asked him for a servant, "Shall I not lead you to that which is better for you than a servant? If you go to your mattresses, or rest to sleep, then say Allahu Akbar thirty-four times, and say subhaan Allah thirty-three times, and say alhamdulilah thirty-three times, for they are better for you than having a servant" [Agreed upon (Bukhari & Muslim): 6318 & 6915]

9 - Supplicating when awoken from sleep

'Ubaadah bin as-Saamit, radiallahu 'anh narrates that the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam said: "Anyone awoken in the night and says: Laa ilaha illa Allah, wahdatu laa shareeka lah, lahul-mulku walahul hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay`in qadeer, alhamdulilah was-subhaan Allah, wallahu akbar, wa laa hawla wa laa quwata illa billah , then said, Allahumma aghfirli or invoked Allah, he will be answered, and if he does ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted" [al-Bukhaari: 1154]

10 - Supplicating once awake with the following supplication

Alhamdulilah alathee ahyaanaa ba'da maa amatana, wa ilayhin-nushoor (Praise be to Allah Who granted us life after death, and to Him we will be ressurected) [al-Bukhaari, 6312, from Huthayfah bin al-Yamaan, radiallahu 'anhu]

REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "DON'T DISCLOSE YOUR SINS TO OTHERS"

Narrated Abu Huraira:

"I heard Allah's Apostle saying. "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people).

An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself."

Allah's Apostle (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) as saying, “Every servant would be raised (in the same very state) in which he dies.” [Sahih Muslim, Book 040, Hadith #6878.]

How would you like to face death and be raised ?

While watching TV or while in sujood in Masjid?
While singing songs or while reciting Qur’an?
When the time comes, the Angel of Death does not wait for us to finish watching our favorite movie. They reach wherever we are and do their task.

Let’s leave all the acts of Allah’s disobedience today because if our life will be spent in the obedience of Allah then we will die as an obedient slave in sha Allah.

Let’s wake up before we NEVER WAKE UP!

Monthly Fasts:

The White Days do exist in every lunar month (namely, the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each Hijri month). Muslims are highly recommended to fast on these three days each month.

Ibn `Abbas said, "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would habitually fast on the White Days, whether he was resident or on a journey."

Prophet muhammad salallahualihiwasalam said he who fasts 3 days in a month is like he is fasting all the time.

Read Quran daily even if it's only few verses .

The Prophet (pbuh) said, ‘Fasting and the Qur’an will intercede for the servant on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say, “My Lord, I forbade him food and desire so accept my intercession for him”. The Qur’an will say, “My Lord, I prevented him from sleep at night, so accept my intercession for him”. So their intercession will be accepted.’

Whenever you are faced with the burden of a difficulty, lighten it by remembering three things:
1. That it is only temporary. Nothing in this life is forever. Neither your happiness nor your pain. It will soon come to pass.
2. That it has been predestined. Nothing you think you could or could not have done would have avoided it. It was meant to get to u. It is all part of a bigger & better plan for you.
3. Thirdly, seek comfort in the fact that if you bear this with acceptance and patience then you will be rewarded greatly for the suffering you are enduring.. Allahu Akbar!

Revive a Sunnat : Fast on Mondays & Thursdays

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was keen to fast on Mondays and Thursdays. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Deeds are shown (to Allaah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 747; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1041.

My niece is six and hijab is part of her everyday clothing. To all my sisters with children, teach your daughters to wear hijab from an early age so that they don't find it difficult later. Your children are amanah(trust) given by Allah to you. A child is an empty box what you put in the box is what they will carry for there rest of their lives.

Aws ibn Aws ath-Thaqafee (radiallaahu ‘anhu) said: I heard Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) say

•►“Whoever washes his head on the day of Jumu’ah, and takes a bath and arrives in time, and he walks and he does not ride, and he draws close to the imaam, and he listens and he does not speak. Then for every step which he takes, there will be for him the reward of a year: the reward of fasting it and standing in Prayer.”

There are certain specific acts of virtue in these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, and ONE of them is:

1. Upon sighting the moon of Dhul Hijjah, those people intending to perform Qurbaani should neither cut their hair nor clip their nails until the Qurbaani is performed.

This is a mustahab (desirable) act derived from Hadeeth of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam wherein he has said:

“A person should neither clip his nails nor cut his hair until he performs qurbaani”.
Ibne Maajah

EXPLANATION: Some ulamaa have explained the reason and wisdom behind this order of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam thus that in this month, hundreds of thousands of people are blessed with the opportunity of visiting the sacred house of Allah in Makkah. They enjoy the spiritual atmosphere of the holy places and acquire maximum benefit from the blessed moments.

Whilst they are there in the state of ihraam certain acts become impermissible for them. Amongst them is clipping of nails and cutting the hair. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam instructed those of his followers who could not reach the blessed places, to imitate the pilgrims by not cutting the hair and clipping the nails so that the mercy of Allah can enshroud them too together with the pilgrims.

The ten days of Dhul Hijjah have begun. These are the most blessed days of the year, so increase your good deeds in them.

In particular:

1) The most noble of deeds in these days is the Hajj.

2) Increase your dhikr: the takbeer, and tahleel, and tasbeeh.

3) Read more Quran than usual in these days.

4) Give charity: sponsor an orphan, or build a well, or feed a poor person.

5) Fast, especially if you are not going for Hajj, on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, for it forgives the minor sins of the year before and the year after.
And remember to make dua for all Muslims around the world.

May Allah make us of the righteous and forgive our sins, Ameen!

If you allow a person to enter your heart & mind then you have no control of yourself. To empower yourself it's important to distance yourself from what outsiders think of you as this is a very simplified opinion - be more concerned about what Allah swa thinks of you. Imagine your whole life being scrutinised and your every little action and intention being questioned. We have a lot more to worry about than worrying about people's opinion of an individual. People are human human beings and as human beings our knowledge and interpretation can be flawed and limited. Why concern yourself with issues which do not concern us. Make life easy and worry and concentrate on yourself - don't worry about the labels and categories that people put on you.

REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "OBSERVING THE NAAFIL (SUPEREROGATORY) PRAYERS" ✦

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever prays twelve rak’ahs each day and night, a house will be built for him in Paradise because of them.” [Narrated by Muslim, 728]

•► 12 rak'ahs: 2 rak'ahs before Fajr Prayer, 4 rak'ahs before Zuhr Prayer, 2 rak'ahs after Zuhr Prayer, 2 rak'ahs after Maghrib Prayer, 2 rak'ahs after Isha' Prayer.

•► All these 12 rak'ahs prayer should be done along with the Obligatory Prayer (before and/or after)

It should be noted that the naafil prayers bring immense reward and great virtue.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:

“The first of his deeds for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayer. If it is sound then he will have succeeded but if it is not sound then he will be lost and doomed.

If anything is lacking from his obligatory prayers, the Lord will say:

‘Look and see whether My slave has any voluntary (prayers),’ and the shortfall from his obligatory prayers will be made up from that. Then all his deeds will be dealt with in like manner.”

[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 413; Abu Dawood, 864; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.]
