Interesting article, which links to another article, which states "Eating meat is a good way to include high-quality protein in your diet. Red meat also contains highly bioavailable iron, Vitamin B12, and zinc. For people with a tendency toward anemia–or, insufficient red blood cells– including meat in the diet can be a good way to help improve the condition."

This has been known about for ages, that is why fasting is important to give the body time to detoxify and amazingly when you starve for a while your body sends cancer destroying antibodies into your system. Red meat is too rich to eat lots of and causes constipation. If you love red meat always eat plenty more boiled potatoes or rice and veges/fruit and you will be fine.

This is why Allah has provided us with a variety of food; ranging from meats, fruits, vegetables and grains.

If we return to the days when people had to raise, slaughter and fully prepare their own meat. Meat consumption would drop back to a healthy level.

Fast Food chains have turned meat into a poison, for many people.

While we can not all return to an Agrarian life, we can return to the eating habits of what was a healthy diet. Sad commentary on civilization when we now have a wold in which nearly half of the world's children go to bed hungry and the other half eats more meat at a single meal, then some people eat in a month.

Perhaps those of us in a world of fast food are receiving the results of over-indulgence and our lesson should be to send surplus food to people who need it and not into our own bellies.
