I wanted to know if you out cream on your face and it goes on your lips - does this break the fast - even if you knew the cream was on your lips but you licked them anyway???

Also another question - if you did something but didnt know that thing broke your fast - whats the ruling on that - is your fast still broken

Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb,

The fast will not become invalid by using lip balm or Lip-ice. However, it is best that one abstains from using Lip-ice or lip balm whilst fasting if there is no real need.
