Naaa Yanuumo = To Sleep
Maatha Yamootho = To Die

Our teacher asked us to describe our day. So to describe the end of my day, I accidentally said "Amoothu" which means, "...I die..."

So basically I said, I eat breakfast, go to school, blah blah, then I go to bed and die. ;D

Sleep is the brother of death, so I'd say you were right.

Think of the dua that's read before sleeping.

Sleep is a temporary death and death is a permanent sleep :-\

I did defend myself, actually, by saying sleep is a temporary death. My teacher accepted it. :P
