As salamu alaikum wa rahmatulaahi wa barakatu.

I was interested in applying to the University of Al Madinah. I was unsure of a few things so wanted to ask brothers who are there or who have been there formerly.

GCSE's taken less than 5 years ago
If a person wishing to apply has taken their GCSE's over 5 years ago. Will they not consider such a person at all? Do you know of any students who was granted a seat who had take their GCSE's over 5 years ago?

Age must not exceed 25 years
Do you know of any brothers who were accepted into the university, who had been over 25 years old? New term starts in September if someone is 25 at the time of new term starting will that be ok?

Applying in person
I am really interested in applying to the university. If i apply in person by travelling to Madinah, would they inform me immediately?

What percentage of applicants do they accept and what percentage they reject approx
I am in the UK. And this year 13 students have been accepted. How many students must have applied? In UK or other countries so i can get a rough view if there is any chance of them accepting my application.

Finally is there a phone number!

Sorry for dozens of questions. Jazak Allah Kheyraan. Hope to get some benefical replies soon!

As salamu alaikum.

As salamu alaikum wa rahmatulaahi wa barakatu.
Walaykum asalam warahmatulahi wabarakatuh,I will attempt to answer your questions, not because I am a student there but because just recently I have been researching about the University.

I was interested in applying to the University of Al Madinah. I was unsure of a few things so wanted to ask brothers who are there or who have been there formerly.

I am not sure, best to contact the University and leave your namephone number and email, and country so someone from the University who is studying can contact you and assist you, insha'Allaah.

I'm quite sure that if your 25 you can still apply but after the age of 25 you cannot, unfortunately.

This question should be asked by a phone call to the University, insha'Allaah.

If I'm not mistaken approximately 25%(or 20) are accepted out of those who apply.
I am in the UK. And this year 13 students have been accepted. How many students must have applied? In UK or other countries so i can get a rough view if there is any chance of them accepting my application.
I do not know, because they accept roughly 25% of applicants around the world not one country so..

Just researched for a while and found this from a reliable student in the University:
A scholarship applicant should not exceed the age of 25 years. This refers to when you start the course. It is possible for a 26 year old to be accepted with permission of the university management, but is rare, since it requires them to do extra paperwork, and normally only happens if the student is exceptionally gifted, or from a country from which not many people apply. Students older than 26 when they start are almost unheard of, but they do exist.
Insha'Allaah that will help you.
