As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

Reviewing the 60 minutes segment on the City of David and the obvious fabrication is disturbs me why both sides have special interest groups that rely upon this conflict to continue to promote fundraising for the various groups. (Pro Zionist and Anti Zionist)

The greater Muslim community continues to be duped also.

A state for the Palestinian people (الشعب الفلسطيني‎, ash-sha`b al-filasTīni) could have been established under Arafat. A monumental miscue.

Now what do the 1.6 Billion Muslim do to support the people and not the groups who have exploited our support for their own means.

There are an estimated 10 Million Palestinian worldwide and 4 Million in the West Bank and in Israel alone. There is a population of 7.5 in Israel. The math is simple.

The marches, protests and petitions have produced little results. The conditions for the Palestinian continue to get worst. The political groups who have exploited the Palestinian continue to provide them with refugee camps and deplorable conditions.

We need ideas that can actually provide solutions and not more rhetoric.

Lesley Stahl made an attempt to provide a unbiased report but if you offend the media you will be jobless. Read my thread on The American Radical Norman Finkelstein http://www.islamicboard.com/general/...in-2009-a.html

As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

Not surprised that the issue regarding this thread receives little attention. The reality is clear on the motivations of how people exploit the fears and seniments of the Muslim Community.

If a protest, petition or march is called upon there would be endless buzz.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 85, Number 83:

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:

Allah's Apostle said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim. So he should neither oppress him nor hand him over to an oppressor. And whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs."

Sahih Bukhari Volume 9, Book 85, Number 84:

Narrated Anas:

Allah's Apostle said, "Help your brother whether he is an oppressor or an oppressed," A man said, "O Allah's Apostle! I will help him if he is oppressed, but if he is an oppressor, how shall I help him?" The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing (others), for that is how to help him."
