:sl: and Peace to all members,

Explaing moderated threads and posts to the best of my understanding.

Do you ever wonder where your thread/post went after posting it as you neither can see it nor have you received any message from staff regarding deleting, moving etc of the same thread/post?

Your thread/post is still stuck in moderation queue for at least one of the following reasons:

a. Thread is too long and full of references that need a lot of work to approve it., This is probably the most common reason. Please try to cover only one subject at a time in a thread and avoid any unneeded links for references.

b. Thread is discussing advance/in depth issues / Islamic Teachings. We can and do appreciate the fact that we have very intelligent members some of whom are well versed in Islamic matters. But we must have our post be applicable to even our youngest and least experienced members. It is best to write as if your post is going to be read by only one person and that is a young Non-Muslim who has never even heard of Islam and your post is going to be the first and last words about Islam that person will ever see.

c. Thread is discussing any controversial issues. We will not approve any threads that we believe will lead to disagreement among our Muslim members.

d. Thread is addressed to learned Muslims and not a layman type. See part b above. Do not assume any reader of your thread is going to have any in depth knowledge. Keep things at a level understandable for even a new revert.

Please consider our purpose as being no more than Dawah and clearing / teaching/ helping in Basics of Islam. We are neither a Fiqah Discussion board nor Fatwa giving site. Therefore, we will allow only the threads that:

a. Help our purpose - Dawah
b. Address a layman or novice
c. Explain in simple terms the basics of Islam etc

We appreciate the efforts of our members who help us in making LI a better place, Jazzakallah o Khairan Kathera.
