There's too much security

I can't even post a single link. It's why I hate coming here.

Peace.

You have to reach 50 posts. New members cannot post links because some new members may be trolls. It happened in the past where a new member posted a link to a rude image.

*parrots* you have to reach 50 posts before you can do all that good stuff.

You didn't hear it from me and I didn't say it, but there is so much opportunity to SPAM on this forum...

Just noticed you have been a member for almost a year. Gives me reason to pause and think about this, it does not seem your intent was to come here to spam or be a troll.

It does sadden me to see that the intense security we had to implement may be hurting or discouraging sincere members. If you have some alternative suggestions please post them here. Keep in mind we had to put in these features as it seems that those trying to destroy Islamic forums have become more aggressive.

Why don't you guys have a time setting? A user can post links maybe after a week? Forcing users to make posts is not good. As for script kiddies trying to destroy Islamic Forums they don't care about posting limits and restrictions. They won't spam, they'll attack.

The site is vulnerable regardless of these measures in place. I'll reach 50 posts by recommending you guys security alternatives.

You can ask a moderator to post the link or images for you.

Dear Brother,

Passion is all you need. Agreed, but during 50 posts, intentions are much cleared of a member and measures can be taken at initial stage or he/she leaves the forum dishearted. Posting a link is not a big deal, just contact a mod and your link will be posted after evaluation.

We all went through this process. I also do not like many rules when it comes to me (like post deletion or some thing) but when I think positively, I always admire efforts of admins and mods to keep this forum clean and nice.

I agree. You just need to engage in the process for an hour or so. :p

Assalaamu alaikum

Have you introduced yourself? Did you hear a good Qur'an recitation that moved you recently? Did you write a poem? Did you see an article which hasn't been posted before? Have you come across an interesting news piece?

Share it with us insha'Allah.

Or...

Did you see an interesting article? Did you like a qur'an recitation which someone posted? Did you like a website or event which someone posted? Did you have an opinion on a news piece posted..

Offer your feedback insha'Allah

Wasalaam
