Salaams =) Hope things are going well for everyone. If not then InshAllah they will! =) I had a question regarding making up missed prayers. I've already read through a thread on here that answered most of my questions regarding this topic. I tried posting on there but for some reason it wouldn't let me :/ I guess it's because I just joined this board recently. Anyway, I've been following the advice from that thread about doubling up on my prayers. However, 3 days of the week I get home from uni around maghrib time, so I do my maghrib fard prayer first and then an extra for a missed one. Then I go ahead and do the missed dhur and asr prayers since I could not do them ontime because I was in uni. After the fard dhur and asr I do them again for the missed ones from previous years. So I was wondering if this is wrong, since I'm praying the dhur and asr prayers at a time other than its designated time.

Asalaamu Alaikum, jazakallahu khayran for your question. My sister we must realise that there is no excuse for us to miss any prayer no matter where we are. I went to University for 4 years and also worked in many different organisations and lot of those years we never had a designated prayer room but what i have noticed is that one does not need a desginated prayer room. You just simply make a little effort to find an empty room if not then one can pray literally ANYWHERE but the toilet or where there are visible impurities. One does not even need much space just as long as one can prostrate onto the ground. There are easily enough breaks at University and at work for one to be able to pray. Even a couple of minutes between lectures to pray your fard prayer is sufficient. It will only take a few minutes or so.

Why do people go to the toilet? Because they have to to release impurities. Sameway we have to do prayers because it is our obligation. In the time that people take to go to the toilet they end up spending several minutes there when instead one can pray and it would take less time than that.

Therefore my sister make intention from now on that you will miss NO prayers whether you are at University or work or wherever you are. It only take a little effort to find a small space to pray. Even so there is nothing wrong with asking staff to show you a place to pray. Why should we be ashamed to ask? We should be proud to practise our deen and worship Allah no matter where we are.

Therefore no matter what we are doing and no matter where we are there is NO excuse for us to miss a prayer and do qadha when we get home. We will ALWAYS find the little time is takes to do our fard prayer if we REALLY want to.

In regards to your questions then you can do your qadha that way or you can devote a certain time of the day to do all of your qadha prayers.
