I know there are plenty of sites that offer explanation of verses of the Qur'an. But what about hadiths? Does anyone know of any site where I can look up hadiths and find explanation for each of them? Jazakallah khair.

Here's some websites that store translations of Hadith Bukhari and Muslims, although they are all not complete

Jazakallah khair brother naidamar. I have taken note of the sites you mentioned. But I was specifically looking for hadiths that have explanations or commentaries on them.

Here is a site on which you can download

Fathul Baari-Sharh Saheeh Al Bukhari
One of the largest and most important books available in our site, after the Holy Quran.
We have taken special care to spell check this book completely; furthermore, it includes the text of each hadith next to its explanation, allowing searches within the explanation itself, which is a rare feature to find in other programs containing this book.
Although this download appears to be quite accurate and with valid explanations. I can not attest to any other item offered on this site as I have not yet fully checked out the site.

Sadly it is not a free download and is a 20 volume set of books. However if you do an online search you may be able to find a free online version of Fathul Baari

Here is a link to the purchased version site:

Subhanallah!! 20 volumes! Err.....are there smaller books out there, with selected hadiths along with explanations. Like explanations for 40 hadiths Qudsi for example?

This is a good one for the start, we probably are taught it in second semester of 'Aalim course Zad al-Talibin (Provisions for the Seekers), but it's an audio

@ 40 hadith an nawwawi, I have my notes (sanctioned by shaykh) on them, but it's in dad's laptop. Insha'Allaah I will see if i can find them later on.

I have it in hard copy books. I have not downloaded the CD version but from the description it looks the same as the Books. The books have the Ahadith, and explanations in Arabic and the English translation.

I had just begun studying it when we moved from Minnesota, That and all of my Books, except for My Qur'an, are still in storage in Minnesota.

Selections from it in English can be found in Paperback at a reasonable price. Try here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Selections-F.../dp/1902350049

It is also available from Albiris books in the USA, but they only have 2 copies one at an affordable price and the other out of most of our reach:
