-Patience
-dua
-preoccupying yourself with useful things
-accepting qadr
-acknowledging and coming to the realization that that person will never be yours.
-strength/the ability to control your emotions when it hits you that you cant be with them.
-talking to someone who can help and who is in a simialr situation. Sometimes the best being to talk to is Allah.
-remembering that (inshallah) as time goes by, then it will get better/easier
-thinking of the bad things that could have come if you were with that person
-thinking/hoping of better things that may come your way if you aren't with that person (make dua for that), such as someone better
-of possible trying to find out answers why you couldn't be with that person so that you can give yourself adequate closure.

Try to move on. I'm sure theres a reason why things didn't work out, so contemplate over those facts n try make sense of it all. Ask urself why ur finding it so hard to get over it?

Helping out friends or family do something, or volunteering. Basically do useful things for someone else. This will release negative thoughts/energy and will help you move on faster.

As for special du'a or recitation, just ask Allah in your own language as sincere as possible, cry if you can, to lift the burden in your heart and to make you move on.

AssalamuAlaykum

Knowing that Allah (swt) will give you something better in place of what was taken/is being taken from you. Even though it may not seem so at the moment, things will get better insha'Allah and you'll realise that whatever happened was for the best and when you're ready to fully move on you'll realise that what you have now is better than what you wanted then, and although that person seems too freakingly awesome to be true, there are awesomer people out there and there's an awesome person just waiting to be yours insha'Allah in a halal way.

Hearts heal. Fact.

Even though it may seem like the process will kill you, it's actually making you stronger. Believe it.

Wassalam

change your identity and move cities......im kidding

You just have to teach your brain to forget this person...you can become unattached the same way you became attached

You'll learn to cope with it over time. but the memories will all ways be there however they have less of an impact after time has passed.
