increase in testosterone levels? is one possibility, or an underlying medical issue if you were growing it like a man, :D but seriously in your situation, i wouldnt worry. Its normal esp for asian women. yeh theres ways of "disguising " but unless youve got a goatee, :D dont worry.

Every girl gets not only facial hair when they grow up but also gets hair in other areas, like hands or legs... Which is really annoying.:exhausted:
But different girls, have different types of hair, less or more, light or dark, short or long.

And sis, please don't call it moustache, its sounds bad... :(
Call it hair under nose or above lip.

I think hair can't be removed permanently unless, as you mentioned, by waxing or laser hair removal.
But yeah, these ways of hair removal are not safe. It could cause skin dieseases.

I was also looking for ways to get the hair out. I'll post back when I get an awesome method. :)

I dont think food can lower testosterone, but you can eat more healthier anyway it cant do harm. If its not noticeable then seriously dont worry. & waxing/creams isnt that bad. Laser would only really be for severe cases & if its dark hair. btw waxing/laser does not cause skin diseases. you can get infections if you wax in the wrong direction, that about it, nothing else remotely serious can happen. If hair removal wasnt safe, most of the women in the world would be walking round looking like blokes LOL!

I dont think you can prevent your hair from growing, its natural for it to grow, you cant really stop that process unless you laser it off. If you dont wana wax it off, then pop in2 your local salon, let them hav a look and they'll do it for you ?? they'll advise you wats best for your skin. alternatively you can pick up creams from boots/superdrug. what ethnicity are you? cos you could try bleaching ? most asian women do this but it looks ridiculous, but it may be suitable for your skin type ??

if its really bothering you, then it can be fixed so dont stress. most girls hav the same problem.

Salaam, I have quite a few elderly women with goatee beards but I try not to giggle and bite my tongue. One lady looked like that guy from Scooby Doo with a few chain hairs. From a guy's perspective I don't think guys mind if their is a bit of a shadow it's a persons personality which counts instead of counting facial hair etc lol.

i have no clue why but it seems that ALOT of women have this prob so I guess its just normal and certain things we eat or do cause it to increase bc my mom said that once she started taking her bp medication hair started growing more for her in that area

i have no chin hair ALHAMDULILAH!!!! but very faintly upper lip hair which is easily gone with a quick application of wax and a squeal lol
i use a honey sugar wax (u can make it at home its uber easy)
just get the juice of half of a lemon, 2tbsp of honey, and 1 cp of sugar
put in saucepan on med heat and stir until the sugar has melted
you can use an old t-shirt as wax strips (just cut it into strips) and dont apply it on thick bc its REALLLLLYYYY hot and if you put it on thick
the honey will soak through the shirt strip and when u rip the hair will barely come off.

I once tried to make wax at home, the end product looked like jelly! :embarrass

For chin hair, I think you should just leave it, because if you pluck it out not only will it grow but others will too, and then you will end up with a goatee :hiding:

what i mean is prevention of unhealthy hormone imbalances what causes them like the ones that make more facial hair like i c facial hair as an indicator of an underlyeing problem and not a problem itself personally like thats y i dont want to use waxes and stuff cos its like covering symptoms withoput adresing the cause

i guess facial hair just got me thinkin of it but it dusnt just hav to be facial hair it can be anythin related 2 hormone imbalance preventative like

Ok, my bad. Waxing causes no harm. I didn't realise I mentioned it.
But few yeas ago, I heard that laser hair removal causes skin cancer. I did a lot of research now, and figured out that it was all a rumor. :-\
Its completely safe. Only light side effects, redness and swelling. Which would occur during any hair removal process.

I just wanted to know, waxing is just like epilating, right?
The hair is pulled out from the roots in both process?

i went to the doc once..she said its coz of al the chemicls in fud..also 'hormones nd stuf' thy injct into poultry (to mke it big n fat etc)..so askd me 2 avoid meat..nd eat healthy.
A lot of chin hair means u need to check if uv Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)..Sounds scary i kno,bt its common and treatable. Exercise, healthy diet,2tablets nd ur dne.

laser means u dont havta wory abt facial hair evr..couple of sessions nd ur dne (works only 4 dark hair)

all normal women have some testosterone and that is responsible for their facial hair among other things. hope that helps.

not really.

men have estrogen in low quantities. women have testosterone in relatively low quantities. sex libido in women is controlled by testosterone in their blood actually, not estrogen.

unless you've got a long beard on your face or mane on your back, then they wudnt test you for PCOS. to the OP, if your worried you can get your GP 2 do a quick blood test 2 check your levels, in some cases you can get laser on the NHS. no side effects what so ever. its permanent removal, so no looking for straggly chin hair. otherwise just leave it llike every1 else says, its normal and no1 really cares. if it bothers you do something about it. & waxing really isnt that bad.

I know some foods can increase your levels, but im not sure what, maybe your GP could enlighten you ?
