No, sadly I don't believe that there is at the moment, but it is only a matter of time, insha'allah. Some countries that claim to be Islamic have partial Shariah law, but all of them have either succumbed to pressure from the west or are simply misguided and have watered down what Allah subhana wa ta'alaa has ordained and so the Muslims have been let down subhanallah. Although there are some differences in interpretation between the madhabs, you would have thought that there is sufficient agreement that the common system of Shariah law that all Muslims yearn for could be applied in Islamic countries, so that we can all live in a peaceful, fair and just society, insha'allah.

Maybe only Madinah and Makkah that mostly implement syariah, disregarding the type of the ruling government.

Asaalam alaykum,

Unfortunatly it seems not to be, unless it's Makka or Medinah. It's because the people of the Muslim majority countries are under dictatorships and/or are ignorant about what Sharia would mean. Many people just associate Sharia with hudud punishments, but are ignorant of the great aspects of it that positively affect society.

Salaam,

No. I think some countries have implemented parts of the Sharia more effectively than others.

We have countries where the majority of the population are Muslim, however they are not islamic countries in that they represent secularism. Some countries implement some shari'a but not all of it. For example they allow rib'a. This question all ways leads me to the question, is it allowed to join the army of these countries since they represent secularism and democracy?

For example, is it allowed to join the Pakistani army even though it's government is secular, as a soldier you'd be fighting for that secular government and defending it with your life. And we know secularism is shirk. So would it be allowed to fight and defend a secular government?
