Yes, a lot of the ridicules come from the *****iness of UK media and public, but not all.
Many genuinely cannot comprehend why a woman would choose to cover herself up in the beach, and I am just astounded at the viciousness of many of those comments.
And many other comments, still, have islamophobe undertones and many are not so subtle by saying burkini limit women's freedom etc. I wonder if she would have received this much slurs had she worn a full body wetsuit.
