Turkish officials tell Hurriyet Daily News that Turkish navy will strengthen presence in eastern Mediterranean Sea to stop Israeli 'bullying'.

The Turkish navy will significantly strengthen its presence in the eastern Mediterranean Sea as one of the steps the Turkish government has decided to take following the release of the UN Palmer report on the 2010 Gaza flotilla, Turkish officials told the Hurriyet Daily News.

"The eastern Mediterranean will no longer be a place where Israeli naval forces can freely exercise their bullying practices against civilian vessels," a Turkish official was quoted as saying.

As part of the plan, the Turkish navy will increase its patrols in the eastern Mediterranean and pursue "a more aggressive strategy".

According to the report, Turkish naval vessels will accompany civilian ships carrying aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Another goal of the plan is to ensure free navigation in the region between Cyprus and Israel. The region includes areas where Israel and Cyprus cooperate in drilling for oil and gas.

Additionally, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan instructed his foreign ministry to organize a trip for him to the Gaza Strip in the near future.

"We are looking for the best timing for the visit,” a Turkish official was quoted as saying. “Our primary purpose is to draw the world’s attention to what is going on in Gaza and to push the international community to end the unfair embargo imposed by Israel.”

They're not precisely why their people are trying to overthrow them.. the money that should go to aid Muslims aids the Zionist Pigs and the west to come destroy us. Hope you made du3a in Ramadan for reformation and continue to make it that Allah swt blesses us with a Just Muslim Ummah to the path of the prophet..

i found this amazing stuff so i'll post it for the sake of reference:

Erdoğan graduated in 1981 from Marmara University's Faculty of Economics and Commercial Sciences. He was involved in politics from the age of eighteen. Erdoğan was also a semi-professional footballer from 1969 to 1982.

Erdoğan was elected Mayor of Istanbul in the local elections of March 27, 1994.

He was banned from office and sentenced to a prison term because of a poem he recited during a public address in the province of Siirt on December 12, 1997.

The poem was quoted from a book published by a state enterprise

and one that had been recommended to teachers by the Ministry of Education.

After six months in prison, Erdoğan established the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) on August 14, 2001. From its first year, the AK Party became the largest publicly-supported political movement in Turkey. In the general election of 2002 the AK Party won nearly two-thirds of the seats in parliament, forming the first single-party government for 19 years.

As prime minister, Erdoğan implemented numerous reforms. 45 years after Turkey signed an Association Agreement with the EU, the negotiations for Turkey's accession to the EU started during Erdoğan's tenure.
Parallel to this, inflation, which had for decades adversely affected the country's economy, was brought under contro
l and the Turkish Lira regained its former prestige through the elimination of six zeros.
Interest rates were reduced and per capita income grew significantly.
The AK party won the elections of 2007 making it the first time in 52 years that a party in power had increased its votes for a second term.
In the 2011 general election, the AK Party was re-elected for a third term and Erdoğan remained Prime Minister of a single party government.
While studying business administration at what is today Marmara University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and playing semi-professional football, Erdoğan also engaged in politics by joining the National Turkish Student Union, an anti-communist action group. In 1976, he became the head of Beyoğlu youth branch of the Islamist National Salvation Party (MSP).[9] That same year, he was promoted to the position of chair for the Istanbul youth branch of the party. After the 1980 military coup, Erdoğan followed most of Erbakan's followers into the Welfare Party. He became the party’s Beyoglu district chair in 1984, and in 1985 he became the chair of the Istanbul city branch.

He was elected to parliament in 1991, but barred from taking his seat.

Makes a change, anyway. Instead of 'it's all about oil' this time it's 'it's all about gas'. Stupid of Israel to provide Turkey with such a convenient excuse, though. Hopefully the Palestinians will benefit regardless.

Considering how militaristic, nationalistic and proud both Turkey and Israel are, this might very well escalate into something big.
