There are many books you can read on the subject sister, but here's a very VERY VERY VERY brief version pertaining somewhat loosely to your question - this is my opinion btw, but it is based on the opinions of others who have written books on the subject:

Mahdi will be recognised at the age of around 40 yrs, he will rule for 7 years, and he will be spotted first between Medina and Makkah. The abdaals will know who he is - even tho he doesnt suspect himself of being the mahdi. When Mahdi reaches the kaaba, the abdaals will force him to take bayaah from them. The Mahdi will refuse but after a night of some contemplation - something will happen, his heart and soul will be purified and he will be ready to take the bayaah from the abdaals. And he will march on forth, towards Jerusalem. At the gate of Lud, Isa AS will descend, and Isa AS will pray salah behind Mahdi AS - then the army will march out to meet dajjal and his army, and the breath of Isa AS will kill the dajjal... the khalifa will be re-established and then the years of peace will follow, in that time, Mahdi AS will die and Isa bin Maryam AS will rule over the Khalifa...

...Allah knows best.

:sl:,

BarakAllah ou fikum.

Brother Scimi the Khalifa will be re-established after the arrival of Mahdi ? not before ?

I find this in french : " Selon Al-qurtubî : le Mahdî passera vingt années au Maghreb, douze à Kûfa, douze à Médine et six à la Mecque "
Which means " According to Al-qurtubî : the Mahdi spent 20 years in the Maghreb, 12 in Kufa, 12 in Medine and 6 in Makkah "

Is this hadith is authentic (sahih = sa7i7) ?
if yes, what does it mean ?

well the time is ripe, we live in the era of global sound and vision broadcast and skype and satellite tv
His [the Mahdi's] aim is to establish a moral system from which all superstitious faiths have been eliminated. In the same way that students enter Islam, so unbelievers will come to believe.[7]

When the Mahdi appears, God will cause such power of vision and hearing to be manifested in believers that the Mahdi will call to the whole world from where he is, with no postman involved, and they will hear and even see him.[8]

I heard the Messenger of God say: "The Mahdi is of my lineage and family […]".[9]

Thanks Abz for the link.

We know his name's father and mother. His name. His physical description.
How is it possible that's nobody (his parent or himself or...) will recognise him before that Allah (swt) has decided that he will be sent.
Futhermore there are many signs that will precede him.

Wikipedia:
The Mahdi will be an ordinary man, born to an ordinary woman.
  • The Prophet Muhammad said:
" The world will not come to an end until the Arabs are ruled by a man from my family whose name is the same as mine and whose father’s name is the same as my father’s.

"The Mahdi is of my lineage, with a high forehead and a long, thin, curved nose.

You'll be waiting a long time.... you might be better off just checking his site and downloading the pdf books he has there - they are free.

Sheikh Imran N Hosein hardly has time to respond to the plethora of emails he gets... I can imagine his face when he sees his inbox lol :hiding: <-something like this... Like I said, he's incredibly busy. If you do get a response, please share it. You'd be the first I know to get one back...

... for the meantime: http://www.imranhosein.org/books.html <--you can download his books here.

Well that depends on whether we're alive long enough to witness his imminent arrival. It could be within the next 7 yrs - or the next 70, or even the next 700. Allah knows best...

...Evidences suggest that the time is close now. Real close.

I wonder if you've seen this:

This shows that preparations for dajjal are already in place - even in Arabia... kinda makes you wonder don't it?

Part two releases this month, which exposes a lot more with regard to the importance of symbology and the dajjalic influence in the Hijaaz area of Arabia... Shocking? You bet... I'll keep you posted.

I have mailed sheikh Imran hosein twice and I got a prompt reply for both of my mails to him. maybe I'm lucky. first one was about a book recommendation and he referred me his book signs of the last day. So I bought it. this time I asked him a few questions out of my curiosity but he said he doesn't have an answer to any of my questions. I don know maybe my questions were not wise. let me paste his reply here

Assalamualaikum,

I have a question regarding Imam Mahdi's rulership. The hadith says he would rule for 7 years. That 7 years, would it be like normal earthly 7 years or heavenly 7 years? whats the calculation of it?

Is true that Prophet Isa (pbuh) would rule for 40 years? or same 7 years? what are the calculations of these years?

The hadith also says Imam Mahdi's father's name would be Abdullah. I have heard his mothers name would be Amina. are these information authentic?

In one of your lectures you said something about the rulership of the dajjal. how long would he rule for? how many years later of the dajjal's arrival would the Imam arrive?

Hoping to hear from you soon

JazakAllah Khair

Imran N. Hosein

wa 'alaikum assalaam!

Thank you for your email.

The sources of our information (Qur'an and Ahadith) do not provide answers to your questions.

Exactly, I was gonna say just that! No hadeeth provides timeframes between the arrivals.

But, if you study hadeeth with tafsir and recognize what is going in the world today - you can draw some real parallels.

I am in no position to actually promote my opinion on the matter as it is conjectural, and maybe taken by some too literally - so to refrain from the fitna of leading others into a wrong belief - i'll refrain.

All I can really say is - the time is close. memorize al Kahf, first ten and last ten ayahs of the surah atleast...

Thanks brother. I just asked him those questions because he calculated the days of the dajjal. one day like a heavenly year, one day like a heavenly month and one day like a heavenly week and the rest of the days are like normal earthly days. So, how did he calculate that?

Subhanallah, this is frightening. As one brother here said, the time is really close. Because most of the signs during the prophets(S.A.W) time and after have already happened(if not all), there are the big ones left.

What we also forget is how near the death is, really. We dont even think about it and we can die NOW. We muslims should think about that instead of qiyamah all the time. When you die, then its over. Either a hell is waiting for you or a jannah. May Allah rescue us from his punishment.:cry:imsad

I wish I could devote all my life to Islam fulltime, going on tabliq, learn much more about Islam, be with my muslims brothers. But I go to university and stuff...

You need to read his book "Surah Kahf and the Modern Age" from his website ....it explains the time dimensions and how he came to his calculation.

Btw i personally believe that 7 years and 40 years have a symbolic meaning. I know that "Seven" or "Seventy" in Arabic means Several or Many. So 7 would probably mean several.

and 40 could be a long time period because consider this hadith...

Narrated Abu Dhar: I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Which mosque was first built on the surface of the earth?" He said, "Al-Masjid-ul-,Haram (in Mecca)." I said, "Which was built next?" He replied "The mosque of Al-aqsa ( in Jerusalem) ." I said, "What was the period of construction between the two?" He said, "Forty years." He added, "Wherever (you may be, and) the prayer time becomes due, perform the prayer there, for the best thing is to do so (i.e. to offer the prayers in time)." (Bukhari)

If we take this hadith and try understanding it literally then it would be impossible to believe that period between their construction was exact 40 years. History informs us that time period between the construction of both was huge. So it cannot be 40 years and so 40 years could have a symbolic meaning.

SubhanAllah brother, trust me, it seems like you've just copied and pasted my view on this matter, which I felt shy to speak out about it before. I'm not usually bothered about the end times prophecies. Thats why my books about the end times are still untouched lol, coz I want to know other sides of Islam first to become a better Muslim and spread the message of Islam InshAllah.

Thanks for this explanation brother. Actually I found it hard to accept that after all the battle and struggles, the rulership of Mahdi would last for only 7 years coz 7 years goes like a blink of an eye.

Could be and Allah (swt) knows best, since Imam Mahdi will be living with Isa (a.s) and they both will be together and Isa (a.s) would rule for 'Forty Years' then may be after the Battles are over Imam Mahdi (a.s) will die soon and Isa (a.s) will replace him as the Khalifah. Then he will live longer and the reign of Khilafah Ruler ship would actually last long but the only difference would be that Isa (a.s) will be the Caliph and not Imam Mahdi (a.s).

So the Caliphate would last long but Imam Mahdi (a.s) would be a Caliph for short period of time and Isa (a.s) would be his successor and rule for a longer period of time. And Allah (swt) knows best.

Asalaamu Alaikum, According to authentic sources Mahdi will be from Medina. He will resemble the Prophet (Sallallahi Alaihi Wasallam) in looks and character. He will be from the same family and his mother and father will go by the same name as the Prophets. It is also said he will be around 50 at the age of him being known as the Mahdi. He will be a normal man at the time until he becomes the mahdi to which he will be purified. One of his signs is that he will himself not recognise himself as the Mahdi until he goes to Makkah where some men will give bayah to him even though he does not want to lead nor be known as the mahdi.

Soon after that an army will be sent from one of the Muslim rulers at the time to go and destroy him but they will not succeed as Allah will cause the Earth to swallow them up somewhere between Makkah and Madina. After that an army carrying black flags from khurasan will march forth towards Mahdi to support him. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said that a person should even crawl on ice if he has to in order to join that army as that will be the army of Mahdi. That army will be unstoppable and it is said that it will eventually reach Jerusalem.

We should not be "waiting" for the arrival of Mahdi we should do our best to leave our own legacys behind and to do the best we can to benefit Islam and mankind. Mahdi may or may not come in our lifetimes, Allah knows best but his arrival will mark the beginning of the major signs of the day of judgement. Once the first of the major signs arrives then all the other signs will follow quickly.

And Allah knows best in all matters

That would be the most blessed land. May Islam rule the world for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong period of time.

Another issue is that the signs of Qayamah that are appearing now are the minor ones. The arrival of Mahdi and dajjal would be one of the major signs. So is it possible the major signs would start to appear after the state of Khalifah?

Asalaamu Alaikum, Allah knows best as to how long the shariah will last for on the Earth at the time but it is said to be around 7 years of opulance (abundance and wealth) for Muslims around the world at the time. The arrival of Mahdi will be the first of the transitions from minor to major signs.

Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allaah (Peace & Blessings of Allaah be upon Him) said: "At the end of the time of my ummah, the Mahdi will appear. Allaah will grant him rain, the earth will bring forth its fruits, he will give a lot of money, cattle will increase and the ummah will become great. He will rule for seven or eight years." As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

Ukhti Tasnym:

Before al-Qiyamah (The final Day of Judgement) the Mahdi (The Guided One) is described as the one who
will revive Islam to the original state. He will accompany Isa bin Maryam (AS) to address the tyranny, injustice
and wrongdoing in the world.

We have provided authentic sources regarding the description and hope others who are posting
on this topic provide authentic sources from the Sahih and give proper credit to the sources.

Those to adhere to the Sunna, Salafi, etc understand to differentiate from what is propogated
by those who adhere to the Shi'a madhhab (school of thought) regarding the belief and
explanation of the Mahdi (The Guided One).

Ah yes, the day like a year, day like a month and day like a week, the rest number like our days... 37.

Shaikh Imran Hoseins opinion on the matter is that the periods of time in relation to a day like a year and like month and like week - refer to periods of rule.

1) the day like a year - the long rule of Brittania
2) the day like a month - the somewhat shorter rule of USA
3) the day like a week - the awaited rule of the state of Israel... henceforth, the dajjal emerges.

Asalaam O Alaikum...

I believe that Shaikh Imran's interpretation to be correct about the Major signs. I believe that his view is correct for example...

Hudhayfah ibn 'Ubayd said (r.a)"The Prophet (sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) came upon us whilst, we were busy in discussion. He asked us, 'What are you talking about?' We said, 'We are discussing the Hour.' He said, 'It will not come until you see ten signs: the smoke, the Dajjaal, the beast, the sun rising from the West, the descent of Jesus son of Mary, Gog and Magog, and three land-slides - one in the East, one in the West, and one in Arabia, at the end of which fire will burst forth from the direction of Aden (Yemen) and drive people to the place of their final assembly.' " (Ahmad)

(Signs of the last days Imam Ibn Kathir)

I believe that the Sun to rise from the West is one of the major signs which has already taken place even before the establishment of Khilafah.

As Shaikh explained that "Sun would rise from the West" has symbolism involved in these words and therefore this could not mean an actual Sun rise from the Western hemisphere rather than from Eastern Hemisphere.

But what this could mean is a false Sun Rise from the West i.e. people will look up to the Western World and embrace its godless way of life and abandon their own way of life i.e. Islamic way of life and Muslims would follow that sun rise and embrace it in large numbers together with the rest of the mankind.

I believe that to be right also because Western Secular culture has affected entire mankind and we don't find any culture in the History of mankind that
has had such a huge affect on the almost entire mankind. Interest based economic system and many others has been embraced by entire mankind which emerged from the Western world.

Also please read Shaikh's book "Islamic View of Gog and Magog" which explains the release of Gog and Magog in this world.

http://www.imranhosein.org/books/131...odern-age.html

They were released at the time of Prophet Muhammad (saw)....

Zainab bint Jahsh reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) got up from sleep saying: There is no god but Allah; there is a destruction in store for Arabia because of turmoil which is at hand, the barrier of Gog and Magog has opened so much. I said: Allah's Messenger, would we be perished in spite of the fact that there would be good people amongst us? Thereupon he said: Of course, but only when the evil predominates. (Sahih Muslim)

They were released at the time of Prophet Muhammad (saw) but their power in the world will not be established until people abandon religious way of life and become heedless and therefore they will become powerful only "....when the evil predominates."

Therefore their release took place then but their power has been established in our times when Evil has become widespread throughout the world.

These 2 signs i believe have already taken place even before the establishment of Khilafah. And the signs of the Major earth quakes have also taken place except for the one in Arabian Peninsula.

Did you know he wasn't the first to theorize this?

Ahmad Thomson in his book "Dajjal the King with no clothes" (TaHa Publishers 1986) actually got there first? So... It's not just Shaikh Imran Hosein who sponsors this opinion...

Here are the first 19 pages but I recommend getting the book. It's very good.

DAJJAL

by Ahmad Thomson

There are three aspects of Dajjal. There is Dajjal the individual. There is Dajjal as a world wide social and cultural phenomenon. There is Dajjal as an unseen force.

The word Dajjal does not appear in Qur'an. It appears in various collections of Hadith, including the two Sahih collections and the Mishkat al-Masabih and The Gardens of the Saliheen, in the sections which are concerned with the period of time immediately preceeding the end of the world. The prophet Muhammad, may the blessings and peace of Allah be on him, was sitting with a group of his companions one day during the late afternoon. The disc of the sun was just about to begin to disappear behind a wall. The prophet said that the time between their sitting there that afternoon and the end of the world, was as short as the distance between the disc of the sun and the top of the wall at that moment. This was fourteen hundred years ago.

Allah says in Qur'an that the person who is asked about the end of the world, that is the Hour, knows as much about it as the person who asks the question. Allah also says that mankind has only been given a little knowledge concerning the Hour. No one knows exactly when it will be, but Allah says in Qur'an that perhaps it is closer than you think. As far as you are concerned, the world ends for you when you die.

Many of the signs of the end of the world are clearly indicated in the Hadith collections, and whoever is awake and aware of the signs in the self and on the horizon, knows these signs and recognises them when they appear. All the signs of the end of the world are now apparent, except for, the last four major signs, and it would appear that even these are now imminent.

Amongst the signs already apparent are: that the poor and the destitute build tall buildings in which people glorify themselves; that the slave girl gives birth to her mistress, one meaning of which is that the mother who is enslaved by her work situation has children who grow up to be uncontrollable and who dominate and tyrannise the family situation; that women outnumber men; that there are many women who no longer give birth to children; that everyone is concerned with working so that not only the men but also the women go out to work; that there is an abundance of food, much of which has no blessing; that when a person is offered food it is refused; that time is short; that there are many people who are hard hearted and mean; that there is much fighting and killing of people; that there are women who wear their clothes like a second skin; that attempts are made to make the deserts green; that there are people who attempt to change the balance of nature and who interfere with and interrupt the basic cycles and processes of existence; and finally that the sun rises in the west, one meaning of which is that the life transaction of Islam is adopted by people living in the western world.

The last four major signs are the appearance of Dajjal the individual; the appearance of the Mahdi, the rightly guided leader of the Muslims who will fight Dajjal; the re-appearance of the prophet Jesus, on him be peace, who as well as breaking all the crosses, killing all the pigs, marrying and having children and praying with the Muslims, will also kill Dajjal; and the appearance of Juge wa ma Juge, a tribe of people who will scatter across the world, creating destruction.

It is clear that before Dajjal the individual appears on earth, there must already be present and established the system, and the people running that system, which and who will support and follow him when he does appear. Evidence of that system, and the people running that system, is evidence of Dajjal as a world wide social and cultural phenomenon, and Dajjal as an unseen force. The signs of these broader aspects of Dajjal, that is what Dajjal the individual will epitomise, are very apparent today, which would indicate that Dajjal the individual is soon to appear .

These descriptions all fit the characteristics of today's media machines, and especially the manner in which they are largely used. Dajjal is also described in the Hadith as having many eyes on both sides, and travelling about the world in large hops. This description fits the characteristics of today's means of mass transport. Dajjal is described as having the letters KFR on the forehead. Some of the jets in the Israeli airforce have these letters painted on their noses.

The letters KFR are the basic root letters of the arabic word kufr, or kaffir. Kufr is to cover up and to reject. The kaffir is the one who covers up the true nature of existence, that is that there is no god only Allah, and who rejects the messengers who are sent by Allah to show people how to live in harmony with what is within them and with what is without them, and to worship and have knowledge of Allah. When the prophet Muhammad said that you should seek knowledge as far as China, he was talking about knowledge of Allah, or at the very least knowledge which leads to knowledge of Allah. If your knowledge does not come from fear of Allah, you have been deceived. Fear Allah, and Allah will give you knowledge. The kaffir rejects this. The kaffir is thus diametrically opposed to the mumin. The mumin is the muslim who openly affirms the true nature of existence, and who accepts and follows the example and teachings of the prophet Muhammad, may the blessings and peace of Allah be on him, the last of the prophets to have been sent by Allah before the end of the world.

Amongst the descriptions of Dajjal in the Hadith collections we find the following: Dajjal has one eye, like a squashed grape. Dajjal can be heard all over the world at the same time. Dajjal will show you fire, but it will not bum you. Dajjal will show you water, but you will not be able to drink it. Dajjal will talk of the Garden, and make it seem like the Fire. Dajjal will talk of the Fire, and make it seem like the Garden.

It should be already clear that the kaffir system, and the kaffirs who control and believe in that system, are none other than Dajjal as a world wide social and cultural phenomenon and Dajjal as an unseen force. Dajjal the individual will be the epitome of the kaffirsystem, the ultimate kaffir, and therefore inevitably to be chosen as the leader of that system by the kaffirs who run that system, when he appears. The prophet Muhammad said that kufr is one system. The kaffir system is Dajjal. The three aspects of Dajjal are in fact interlinked and indivisible. Dajjal.

In the same way the Mahdi will be, when he appears, the epitome of Islam, the way of the prophet Muhammad, although it must be said immediately that he will be like a drop compared to the ocean of the prophet Muhammad, may the blessings and peace of Allah be on him. It follows that the Mahdi will be the one who is inevitably recognised and accepted by all true muslims as their leader. The prophet Muhammad said that the muslims are one body.

Kufr is at war with Islam. Islam is at war with Kufr. Dajjal will fight the Mahdi. The Mahdi will fight Dajjal. The prophet Jesus, who was not crucified, but taken by Allah out of this world into the Unseen, and another who looked like him crucified in his place, the prophet Jesus, on him be peace, having returned to this world, will kill Dajjal.

Dajjal has been the subject of much writing in the past. Prophecies relating to the Dajjal are to be found, for example, in the bible in the Book of Revelations by John, and in the writings of Nostrodamus. Many people have attempted to interpret these prophecies anew in the light of events taking place during their own particular lifetimes. Dajjal is usually referred to as the Antichrist in these prophecies and the commentaries on them. It is not known how reliable or accurate these prophecies or the commentaries on them are. It is quite probable that they came by way of the jinn.

The jinn are made of smokeless fire. They can see us. Only some of us can see them. We are made of water and clay. Angels are made of pure light. Angels are incapable of wrong action. They do not eat or sleep or procreate. They praise Allah continuously. They are the means by which the creational process operates. The jinn, like us, are capable of right action and wrong action. Some of them are muslim, some are kaffir, and some are munafiq, that is hypocrites who say they are muslim when in truth they are kaffir. The jinn often communicate with people, and from their knowledge of the unseen tell of events which lie in the future. Clearly, if the writings of John and Nostrodamus came by way of, or were influenced by, bad or mischievous jinn, then they are not entirely reliable, since, as is the case with many of the jinn who are the familiars of those who practice magic, or who communicate with mediums, for every truth that is told, several half truths and outright lies are also added. Given this element of possible uncertainty and error, the only way that the prophecies of John and Nostrodamus can be shown to be reliable is when what is said corresponds to what eventually happens. .

As far as the written word is concerned, therefore, the Hadith contain the most reliable description of Dajjal and the events which are to take place before and after the appearance of Dajjal, wherever there is a reliable isnad, that is a reliable chain of transmission from the one who heard or saw what was actually said or done by the prophet Muhammad himself, to the ones who remembered what that person remembered by heart, to the one who recorded what they remembered in writing. The Hadith which have been recorded in writing were only accepted after they had been scrupulously checked by the scholars who collected them, unlike the bible, much of whose contents is from unreliable sources and cannot be attributed to the prophets whose words and actions the bible purports to record. Allah says in Qur'an that the Jews and the Christians have changed and altered the original teaching of their respective prophets, and the numerous contradictions within the bible bear eloquent witness to this fact.

The prophet Muhammad did say however, may the blessings and peace of Allah be on him, that knowledge is the lost property of the mumin, who may pick it up wherever he or she finds it. The mumin is the muslim who not only believes in Allah, but also actually and actively trusts in Allah in the course of his or her everyday affairs. .The muslim may believe in Allah whilst still relying on his or her own actions. The mumin relies on Allah for success. The muhsin is the muslim who knows that there is only Allah, and that accordingly reliance on other than Allah is an impossibility. The muslim, the mumin and the muhsin are all muslims, but they possess different degrees of knowledge of Allah. Those who fear Allah the most are the ones who have the greatest knowledge of Allah, because such fear only comes with such knowledge. The prophet Muhammad said that no other being feared Allah as much as he. Knowledge comes to the one who purifies the heart by the grace of Allah. As the heart comes clear, the knowledge of the heart increases.

This knowledge begins where the written word ends. For the ones whose heart is purified, so that the signs in the self and on the horizon, and they are the same, are recognisable and understood, the signs of Dajjal as a world wide social and cultural phenomenon and Dajjal as an unseen force are plain to see, and what is experienced is a confirmation and amplification of the information which the written word contains. The mumin is the muslim who trusts in Allah. Part of this trust is to trust others and to trust one's self and one's experience of life and one's interpretation of the signs in the self and on the horizon. This trust is complete when the person knows his or her self, for whoever knows their self knows their Lord, and whoever knows their Lord knows what comes from their Lord, which is creation, the universe and everything in it; and no form tangible or intangible, actual or conceptual, can be associated with Allah. Whoever has this trust and this knowledge is muhsin. Reading is not the same as seeing.

The seeing is a much stronger confirmation of what has been read. Books can only remind you 01 what has already been tasted and of what is yet to be tasted or what is capable of being tasted. It is the tasting which is important, not the record of the tasting, whether that record be audio or visual, on paper or on celluloid. To see is to know, but there are different seeings and different knowing.

Considering Dajjal as an unseen force, the presence of this force is indicated by the arrival of beings from another world who take possession of human beings in the same way as the jinn sometime possess humans and animals. It may well be that Dajjal as an unseen force can, like the jinn, actually manifest as humans and animal! without actually having to possess them, that is by taking on their likeness rather than by taking them over. It may well be that Dajjal as an unseen force is none other than a horde of kaffir jinn, as opposed to being beings of some other kind. It is not known from which world the) come. It is known that there are many worlds. Allah is described i11 Our' an in the Sura al Fatiha as Lord of the Worlds. Ibn al Arabi visited some of these worlds in vision, and describes these experiences in hi! book the Meccan Revelations. He names vast cities possessing technologies far superior to the one which some people on this earth boast of today.

The sign that this possession has taken place is that you see large numbers or groups of people all acting as one body, apparently possessing no individual identity. Although they look like human beings they simply do not behave like human beings, but more like robots. The large numbers of books and films which deal with the! phenomenon are not mere figments of the imagination. They point to the reality of what has already occurred and continues to occur .

Since this aspect of Dajjal as an unseen force is in the Unseen, direct knowledge is only available to those who have been given access to the Unseen. Although the prophet Muhammad was given such access, ht was not hungry for it. The desire for such knowledge is an obstacle to the one who desires direct knowledge of Allah. The evidence in the phenomenal world, that is the world which is apprehended by the senses, however, that this take over has taken and is taking place is to be found by observing the manner in which the social and cultural conditions in our world have changed, especially in this century, and by examining how life is conducted today. In other words, it is possible to ascertain the characteristics of Dajjal as an unseen force by examining Dajjal as a world wide social and cultural phenomenon

Considering Dajjal as a world wide social and cultural phenomenon we see that the takeover is well under way, and that the time would appear to be soon approaching when it will be time for the Dajjal the individual to appear, simply because the systems and the people running those systems, that is the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal, system, have apparently gained sufficient world wide control to be able to instate him as the leader they have all been waiting for, once he ha! been recognised and acclaimed as such.

Dramatic changes have taken place on the face of this earth in the last hundred years. The social groupings which used to be prevalent throughout the world, most of them based on the village pattern, o community of families who all knew and helped each other and which interacted with other village communities, have been rapidly eroded and depersonalised. In the large cities of today, the individual has become increasingly alienated from his or her self and from others and from knowledge of Allah, a cog in the consumer producer process who, when not at work or asleep, is often trapped in an infantile and unfulfilled search for illusory self gratification, which ensures that there is usually very little time left to reflect and consider where he or she is going, and no time to actually do something about breaking out of the recurring behaviour pattern in which he or she is trapped. Even where the social grouping of today is limited in size to the village number, the actual social transaction between its members is far less intimate and cohesive than in the past. There is less time to meet together and more time to watch television. There is less time spent working together and more time spent working alone. For those who have been born into this state of affairs, this change in social conditions is not always apparent. It is assumed that things have always been the way they are.

Perhaps the only way of appreciating how dramatic the change has been is to observe what happens when a multi national corporation decides to exploit the natural resources of a hitherto inaccessible region of the world. In a relatively brief period of time, the activities of the people controlling the corporation have not only disrupted the way of life of the people living in that area, but also eliminated their traditional sources of livelihood and thereby ensured that there is cheap labour available to carry out the work being generated by the corporation's activities. Suddenly everyone has a number and wants this thing called money, and the social harmony which existed before the mine or the factory or the well or whatever became a reality, is gone. All this is done in the name of progress and civilising the backward, but in reality the new lifestyle which is inevitably linked with the new technology, and with the mockery of real knowledge which the kaffir calls literacy and education, is the sign of the end of a human transaction in that area.

Another significant change in social activity, which is clearly linked with the degree of automation in any particular social grouping, is that whereas in the past a community used to be united by its worship of God, nowadays this basic and unifying element is often lacking in people's lives. In the western world this pattern of worship used to be predominantly that of the Christian religion, a peculiar amalgam of Paul's own ideas, Greek philosophy, the innovations of a priesthood, which itself was an innovation, in its attempts to compromise by all means with kaffir rulers, and finally a few traces of the original teaching of the prophet Jesus. Since this pattern of worship was not the same as that which was embodied by Jesus and his followers, it follows that it did not, and can not and never will, affirm the true nature of existence or lead to direct knowledge of Allah. It was and is inevitable that people would abandon this pattern of worship, the kaffir because he or she had no desire to worship Allah in the first place, and the true believer because he or she realised that the brand of Christianity which was being advertised had little to do with the original teaching of Jesus, and was not based on the behavioural pattern of him and his community, and would not lead to knowledge of Allah. It was the fragmentation of western society by the advent of the mechanised way of life, which made it easier for people to break free of the Christian pattern of worship. No worship was preferable to a pattern of worship which although performed in the name of Jesus did not conform to the pattern of worship which Jesus had in fact brought, and which has been long lost for ever .

It is interesting to note that there are some writers who have equated the Trinitarian Church, in all its different manifestations, with the Antichrist, since so many of its basic doctrines are not only invented by man but also openly contradict what Jesus himself taught, may the peace of Allah be on him, and since so many of its rituals derive from sources other than the lifestyle of Jesus and his community. This view is reinforced by the fact that it was the Trinitarian Church who in past centuries waged war on and eliminated all those Unitarian Christians, including the Nazarenes, the Ebionites, the Donatists, the Arians, the Adoptionists, the Paulicians, the Illumnists, the Catharii and many of the Goths, who sought to follow the original teaching of Jesus and the way of life embodied by him. Once the last of these Unitarian Christians had been eliminated by the Mediaeval Inquisition and its successor the Spanish Inquisition, the Trinitarian Church then concentrated on attempting to eliminate all the unitarian followers of the prophet Muhammad, the Muslims, and despite its lack of success in this project continues in these attempts even today. The degree of success which was achieved by the Trinitarian Church in these attempts, both in the past and in the present, was, and is, only made possible by the fact that it worked hand in glove with the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system, which of course was, and is, also committed to subverting and destroying the practice of a living and dynamic Islam.

In the light of this, it is clear that any apparent conflict between Science and Christianity is largely illusory and certainly only skin deep, since they both derive from the same system, that is the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system. However it is equally clear that a distinction must be drawn between those Trinitarian Christians who are perfectly well aware that the way they follow is not the way of Jesus, and those people who in all sincerity wish to worship God and who have been misled into believing that the brand of Christianity which they follow is synonomous with what Jesus originally taught, and who up to now have had no chance of access to the living life transaction of Islam which is the prophetic lifestyle for this age, and which naturally bears a striking resemblance to the lifestyle once embodied by Jesus and his original followers, may Allah be pleased with them.

What has just been said about the Christians also applies to the Jews. Many of those who today call themselves Jews clearly do not follow the way of Moses, may the peace of Allah be on him, and indeed a great number of them do not even claim to be descended from the original Tribe of Israel for whom Moses was sent, but freely admit that they are descended from other forbears. Perhaps one of the most significant origins of these non jewish Jews is the people known as the Khazars, who were originally a small nation living in what is now Turkey and southern Russia. Their leader adopted the Jewish faith out of political expediency during the eighth century C.E. so as to avoid being conquered by the Christians who were approaching his kingdom from the north, or by the Muslims who were coming up from the south. He was perfectly well aware that this move would ensure a limited protection from those who also worshipped God. The descendants of the Khazars, noted for their expertise in business and financial transactions are now spread throughout the earth. The way of life which they follow is not the way of life which Moses and his community followed, may Allah be pleased with them. That way of life had already been lost when Jesus first appeared on earth. Jesus, it will be remembered, came to re-establish the way of Moses amongst the tribe of Israel and not to change it one jot or tittle. The fact that the scribes and pharisees, the self appointed priesthood of what had become the Jewish religion, did not even recognise who Jesus was shows how far astray they were from the original way of Moses even then, and that was twenty centuries ago. Sometimes described as the thirteenth tribe of Israel, the descendants of the Khazars are equated by some as being synonomous with one of the last four major signs of the end of the world, that is the appearance of Juge wa ma Juge, since they are in reality Jews but not Jews. If this be true, then we see that they are intimately linked with the appearance of Dajjal, since many of them today are in high positions of control in the various interlinking systems which together make up the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system.

There are those who are only too eager to point out that what has been said about the Christians and the Jews also applies to the Muslims, and that there are many people who call themselves Muslims who are not following the way of the prophet Muhammad and his community. This is quite true, and it is partially a measure of the success enjoyed by the Christians and the Jews in their attempts to subvert and destroy those who have sought or who seek to follow the way of Muhammad and his community, may Allah be pleased with them.

One of the chief methods used by the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system to erase living Islam is to introduce the kaffir way of life into the muslim countries, whilst disguising this fact by describing it in islamic terminology. Nearly all the traditional muslim lands are today controlled and governed according to the precepts of the kaffir system, and not according to what is in Qur'an. Although the prophet Muhammad said that some Muslims would follow the example of their predecessors, meaning the Christians and the Jews, faster than a lizard makes for its hole, he also said that not all of his community would go astray. There are still many Muslims who today follow the same pattern of life as that which was followed by the prophet Muhammad and the first Muslim community which formed around him. The point is, that although there are people who say they are Muslims but who do not follow the way of Muhammad, at least the way of Muhammad is still available for those who do wish to follow it, and at least there are people who still do follow it.

The main difference between the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims is that the Jews do not know or do the prayer which Moses did, the Christians do not know or do the prayer which Jesus did, and the Muslims do know and do the prayer which Muhammad did.

The way of Moses and the way of Jesus have been lost. The religions of Judaism and Christianity have been manufactured and introduced in their stead. These religions are an integral part of the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system. The Dajjal system is the complete antithesis of the prophetic way of life, as embodied not only by Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, but also by all the prophets as far back as Adam, may the peace of Allah be on all one hundred and twenty four thousand of them.

There are three basic patterns of social grouping in the world. There is the simple community which lives in fitra, that is in simple harmony with existence but without following the prophetic pattern of worship of Allah. There is the Muslim community which as well as living in harmony with existence also worships Allah in the manner indicated by Allah through the prophet Muhammad. Finally there is the Kaffir society which neither lives in harmony with existence nor worships Allah consciously.

In Reality of course every single atom is in its place and the overall harmony of existence eloquently proclaims the majesty and beauty of the Bringer into Existence and the Bringer out of Existence and the Only Existent, Allah.

We have seen how the pattern of life followed by the small community living in fitra and by the muslim community has been considerably eroded and destroyed, especially in the last century , by the spread of the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system. In order to appreciate the characteristics of this system, which is outwardly the expression of Dajjal as a world wide social and cultural phenomenon and inwardly the manifestation of Dajjal as an unseen force, it is necessary to examine it in greater detail.

The way in which today's kaffir state is managed and controlled is by means of a highly centralised government. The advance of technology, especially in the realms of communication and travel, together with the use of complex computerised information storage and retrieval systems, has made widespread control from one place a reality. Most kaffir states are police states. Compared with the situation a hundred years ago, the degree of surveillance and control exercised by the rulers over the ruled is staggering. Much of this control is made possible by the form which work takes in today's industrial society. It is significant that the most common form of business concern today is the large corporation, whether privately or state owned, which often not only has branches all over anyone particular kaffir state, but also all over the world. Everyone who works within a particular corporation structure is controlled by the manner in which that corporation operates. People are obliged to put the rules of the corporation above the application of common sense and humanity in the conduct of their everyday lives. Even the individual concern or the small business is highly regulated in what it mayor may not do. Everyone is always told that these rules are for their own good, but they are never given the chance to see what life would be like without them.

It comes as no surprise to find that those who control the government of a kaffir state usually control the large corporations too. The elite of the kaffir controllers control the kaffir legal system, which is used to control all the other interlinking sub systems in the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system, by determining what form they may take and what the people who work within them mayor must not do. This means that life in a kaffir state is highly institutionalised, standardised and regularised. The most common social grouping today is centered around the work nexus. It is pyrammidical in form. The manner of its control is pharaonic. This enables the few to enslave and control the many, often without the many realising just how great the degree of control being exercised over them is. All kaffir institutions are run as a business concern, whether it be the legal system, the government system, the factory system, the university system, the hospital system or the media system, to name but a few.

All these institutions are geared to enable the effective running of the producer consumer process, which is today's predominant kaffir religion, enthralling the many with its myriad rules and controlled by its priesthood of kaffir experts. The consumer producer process is promoted as the ideal way of life by all those who at present control the kaffir states of the so called modern world. This is not surprising, since it is they who benefit most from that process and gather most of its financial rewards.

When establishing the consumer producer process in what is called the third world or the under developed countries, the colonisers, as has already been noted, have always disrupted the way of life which was being followed by the indigenous population prior to the colonisers' arrival. The basic approach has always been to persuade people to produce more than they need. To do this they have to be persuaded to work longer hours than before, and the women have to be persuaded that they will be free if they go and work in the factory all day. In order to make the work an attractive proposition, the people are offered money, but only enough to ensure that once they are dependant on it they will have to keep on working to have it, because they have not earned enough to save up. In order to make the money seem worth anything, the people are persuaded to want products which they never wanted before and many of which they simply do not need, Once you have the people wanting the products, they have to obtain the money to buy the products, which means they have to work to obtain the money, Thus in a very short period of time a large number of people can be persuaded to abandon their former way of life, in order to manufacture the products which they have been persuaded they want, and so get paid to buy them.

Naturally there are those who, although they have been persuaded to want the goods and the money to buy them, either cannot obtain work or cannot be bothered to obtain work, Instead they turn to crime. This provides the ideal excuse for the kaffir controllers to introduce their legal system to protect those who are working and at the same time increase their control over the working population, This also means the creation of more jobs for those who are needed to make the kaffir legal system work, including not only the bureaucrats and office staff but also the people who have to build the offices to house them, and the courts and prisons to deal with the people who will not play the consumer producer game. Naturally the fines collected in the courts do not provide a sufficiently large income to pay for all these buildings to be erected and to supply the people working in them with a decent salary , Accordingly additional taxes have to be levied.

This necessitates more office space and creates more jobs for the tax collectors, It means people have to work harder to maintain their spending capacity. It means people try to avoid paying the taxes, which means the people in the legal system are given more work, As the taxes are increased and as the accepted value of money diminishes, because prices are put up to gather additional income without having to do any additional work, the work force becomes disgruntled. It attempts to organise and alter the status quo. As a result more laws are passed to control their activities. This means more work for the people in the legal system. In no time at all the consumer producer process has been firmly established. The working population is enmeshed in a bureaucratic system of organised anarchy, in which their attention has been concentrated on their daily bread. As the activity within the consumer producer kaffir state becomes more cornplexified and diverse, there inevitably comes the stage which we are now witnessing in those countries in which the kaffir consumer producer process can be said to have originated: Total Collapse.

It is this cycle of self destructive activity, the kaffir consumer producer process, which has all but destroyed the radical alternative to this behavioural pattern, the prophetic lifestyle. Millions of people are trapped in the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system today, and although many of them are not happy with it, it seems unlikely that they will be able to appreciate what living Islam is until the collapse of the consumer producer process in the west is further advanced than at present, so well have they been programmed to believe that a life based on consuming and producing is civilised, whilst a life based on the way of Muhammad is primitive.

The consumer producer process ensures that people are treated like children, encouraged to work hard and enjoy their play, ,and not to ask awkward questions. The ignorance of the people who control that process and of the people who are controlled by them is displayed by the fact that they are unaware of the true nature of existence, and of what happens to you after you die. They take existence for granted, pretend that they are not going to die in the foreseeable future, and think that when they do eventually die, they will simply become dust.

Those who follow the prophetic life pattern, which is based on a revealed message from Allah and not on the speculation and experimentation of the kaffir so called "expert," know that everything comes from Allah and returns to Allah. They know that they are on a journey from Allah to Allah. They know what happens after death: the questioning in the grave, the period of waiting until the end of the world, the being brought back to life on the Last Day, the Balance being set up, the weighing of one's actions and intentions, the decision being made as to whether you are for the Fire or the Garden, and finally your going to one or the other. Those who follow the prophetic life pattern not only know what lies on the other side of death, they also appreciate how short life is, and they act accordingly. Clearly for the one whose sights are fixed on the Garden, or only on Allah, the exploitation of others in order to build up wealth and power in this life, is clearly a worthless and pointless proposition. It is only an attractive proposition to the kaffir because he or she thinks that this life is all there is, and accordingly attempts to reconstruct the Garden in this life and in this phenomenal world.

The prophetic life pattern is grounded in worship of Allah. The five prayers which the Muslim does each day are sometimes referred to as the five pillars of the day. They support your day and keep things in perspective. Of course it is necessary to work, for it is only in the Garden that food comes to you whenever you want it, but the mumin is not subservient to his or her work situation, only to Allah. It is much more difficult for a mumin to be anxious about his or her provision, because he or she knows that Allah is the Provider, and that whoever remembers Allah is remembered by Allah, and that whoever praises Allah is fed by Allah.

Muslim economics is based on the voluntary sharing of wealth by the rich with the poor. What the kaffir state seeks to achieve by means of heavy taxation enforced by repressive measures, the muslim community achieves by voluntary sharing. Voluntary sharing is only possible where the true nature of existence is known. The one who has been given wealth knows firstly that it is from Allah, secondly that if he or she shares it as he or she has been commanded by Allah this will help take him or her to the Garden, and thirdly that if he or she does not share it then such greed may take him or her to the Fire. The one who wishes to see the face of Allah also knows that he or she must give out of what Allah has given him or her. The prophet Muhammad said to Abu Dharr in the shadow of the Kaaba one day that those who were in most danger of going to the Fire were the very rich unless they spent in every direction. He also said that giving out is a shield from the Fire. The reason why a muslim community has no need of a police force, or of prisons, or of a repressive legal system, is that the prospect of the Fire provides a far greater deterrent to committing antisocial or selfish actions, and the prospect of the Garden provides a far greater incentive to do right and generous actions, than the deterrents and incentives needed in a kaffir state by people who think that the Fire and the Garden are imaginary places dreamed up by the Christians in the past so that corrupt priests could blackmail simple people into parting with their wealth.

The truth is that although the heaven and hell conceived of by the Christians, who no longer have access to the original teaching of Jesus, may not bear any actual resemblance to the Fire and Garden, and although corrupt Christians in the past have used the threat of their hell and the promise of their heaven to make money out of people who feared God, nevertheless the Fire and Garden are real and you will be going to one or the other. It should be quite clear to anyone who reads the descriptions of the Fire and the Garden in Qur'an that no one in their right mind would have invented the life after this one in order to make this life more bearable, since the possibility of going to the Fire is a horrifying one, and no one can be certain which of these two abodes will be his or her destination in the next life.

Giving out forms the basis of Muslim economics and of increasing wealth, since whatever you give in the name of Allah, Allah gives you back at least ten times as much. The kaffir attempts to make money out of nothing by charging interest, and when the interest rates go too high there comes a time when the kaffir currency is seen to be what it is, absolutely worthless. The muslim gives out and leaves the rest up to Allah. The kaffir has to be ruthless to become a millionaire, whilst the muslim has to be generous to achieve the same object. Whereas the mark of a kaffir state is vast taxation and the accumulation of capital, the mark of a muslim community is minimal taxation supplemented by voluntary giving out and with no accumulation of capital. The prophet Muhammad once said that if he was given a mountain of gold the size of mount Uhud, he would be ashamed if it had not been disposed of within three days. The kaffir state attempts to systematize and orchestrate distribution of wealth, to the annoyance of all except its ruling elite who benefit from the manner in which that distribution operates, whilst in a muslim community the distribution of wealth takes place naturally and unexpectedly, to the delight of all who trust in Allah.

The people in a muslim community find their meaning in worship of Allah. Allah says in Qur'an, "1 did not create man or jinn except to glorify me." Allah also said on the lips of the prophet Muhammad, "1 was a hidden treasure and I wished to make myself known, so I created the Universe." The knower, the known and the knowledge are one. The people who are trapped in the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system, do not know this. They have been conditioned to find their meaning in the consumer producer process and to accept the system which enslaves them.

It has already been stated that the kaffir system, that is the Dajjal system, is formed of interlinking systems. In order to understand how the interlink operates, it is necessary to look at some of the more influential systems more closely. It must be remembered that it is the systems and structures which are being examined, and not necessarily the people in them.

Whereas some people work in order to live, many now live in order to work. The kaffir factory system is an inhuman and degrading system. It treats people as a necessary, yet expendable, part of the consumer producer process. Increased automation means that the people who man the machines are increasingly subservient to the machines. They are obliged to keep pace with the machines. In a factory which produces twenty four hours every day, the people have to be highly regulated in order to ensure that the machines do not have to be stopped and the flow of production obstructed. The only way to survive in this environment is either to act like a robot, or to be one.

Success in the kaffir factory system is measured by the degree of control which you exercise over others, and by the degree of control which is not exercised over you, and by the amount of money which you make in the process. The more products you can afford, the more successful you are. The more you embody the illusory ideal of the perfect consumer producer as depicted in the media, and there is more than one ideal in order to have as many profitable markets as possible, the greater is your reputation in the consumer producer game.

People are educated in order to work, not in order to understand themselves or the nature of existence. The kaffir educational establishments are themselves like factories, only the end product is not merely a product, but a person who will help to make products either directly by working in the factories, or indirectly by managing the factories or by working in one of the interlinking sub systems which ensure that the final product can be successfully advertised, distributed, sold and consumed. Whether an individual is prepared to work in the public sector, the private sector, or the services sector, the kaffir educational system ensures that he or she has been programmed to look at the world largely in terms of the cost of living, the number of unemployed and the gross national product. The kaffir media system maintains this economic perspective in conjunction with the kaffir educational system.

The only way to keep people enslaved in the consumer producer system is to keep them in ignorance. Accordingly they are given selected information during their so called education and by the media, and not real knowledge. They are conditioned to desire the bits of paper and the know how which will give them the best of positions possible in the producer consumer hierarchy. If the conditioning is not successful, it is almost inevitable that the kaffir legal system will be called into play in order to implant the basic ideal of the consumer producer process more vigorously upon the person in question. The individual who has a good work record and a job waiting for him or her is usually dealt with more leniently in the kaffir courts of so called justice. Some people are so impervious to the kaffir educational conditioning process that they end up spending a great deal of their lives in prison. The result is the same, an individual who has been rendered ineffective by means of institutionalisation.

The great majority of people who teach in the kaffir educational system do not have real knowledge, that is knowledge of the Real, that is Allah, or they would not allow themselves to be part of that system and accordingly part of the kaffir producer consumer process which, as we have already seen, only appears to be an attractive proposition when Allah and the Last Day and the Fire and the Garden are firmly forgotten. Furthermore real knowledge is free. As soon as a fee is charged, you can be sure you will only be receiving information for your money, most of it useless. Useful information is defined as that information which leads to real knowledge. The opposite of that is useless information.

Those who have real knowledge, and share it, do not charge money for it, because they know that it is not their knowledge to sell, and because they know that their knowledge is a gift from Allah which has only been given to them because they wanted it and Allah wanted it, not because they could pay for it. The only kind of payment which is necessary to acquire real knowledge is worship of Allah and fear of Allah and having a good expectation of Allah. Ultimately it is only given by the grace of Allah if that is what Allah wants. You will not acquire this knowledge by seeking it, but only if you seek it will you acquire it. Allah says in Qur'an, "Fear Me and I will give you knowledge," and "Remember Me and I will remember you," and "Ask and I will answer." Allah is the Rich, and not in need of what appears to be other than Him. All that appears to be other than Him is in need of Allah. Allah is the Knowing and the Knower of every separate thing that befalls us, the All pervading. Allah gives knowledge to whom He pleases, and His outpouring is vast. The kaffir producer consumer system is designed to stop you from finding out. …….. pages 1-19
Note; He goes deeper into the person Dajjal later in the book. A very worthwhile book for those who are trying to preceive the fitna and fasaad of modern times, and considering this book was published back in 1986 - a lot of what Ahmad has said has come to fruit.

We said, 'We are discussing the Hour.' He said, 'It will not come until you see ten signs: the smoke, the Dajjaal, the beast, the sun rising from the West, the descent of Jesus son of Mary, Gog and Magog, and three land-slides - one in the East, one in the West, and one in Arabia, at the end of which fire will burst forth from the direction of Aden (Yemen) and drive people to the place of their final assembly.' " (Ahmad)

WalaikumSalam brother,

Thank you for the explanation. your words make a lot of sense. how do you figure out this symbolic meanings? like the sun rise from the west. are you an expert on symbolism? cause nobody has ever explained it like this and it does make sense. people give so much importance to the secular law, the secular education rather than Islamic law and education. how funny, people are striving for the secular system to fit in to the world. whenever I try to influence my family members to take Islam seriously but no they think its secondary coz their first concern is to fit into this world. Allahu Akbar, I'm so thankful to Allah that He saved me from all the fitnah Alhamdulillah.

I actually have a problem with this opinion of Imran Hoseins - simply because we know that before the sun rises from the west - there will be three days and nights of darkness. I don't buy his metaphorical explanation of the three days of darkness. This is just it. But you know, I got a great respect for Imran Hosein. His works are exemplary. Unfortunately - I see no one else from the Muslim community explaining eschatology the way he does - so at this point, he's the only authority on these issues.

Anyway, three days and nights of darkness - as you can see, because of this stumbling block - the theory can be refuted easily.

Also, we know this - that in hadeeth (I don't have references handy but check it out yourself) we know that when the TEN MAJOR SIGNS drop, they are compared to a pearl necklace breaking. No one will know which pearl hits the ground first or which one hits the ground last. This suggests that the last ten signs will happen very fast... another reason why I don't believe the sun has risen from the west - because if it had, the others would already be manifesting a long time ago.

Some may choose to argue that when compared to the annals of time, 100 yrs is nothing - but who lives for 100 yrs anyway? So - the comparison is mute. Doesn't fly with me...

Asalaam O alaikum...

1st of all jAzak Allah khayr brother Scimi for mentioning Ahmad Thomson. Hes one of the few people who have explained Dajjal and i almost forgot about him till you mentioned him because i've been a Fan of Shaikh Imran for such a long time. I remember reading his explanation on Dajjal before Shaikh Imran and then my research on Dajjal led me to the Shaikh. But one thing though, the Shaikh is the only expert out there in the world in Islamic Eschatology (i.e. all major and minor signs of the end times) and Ahmad Thomson cannot be compared with Shaikh Imran which im sure you agree as you mentioned.

No problem sister, May Allah (swt) make it easy for you to understand. I am not an expert on symbolism but this was Shaikh Imran Hosein's explanation on the Hadith of Sun Rising from the West. I believe his explanation to be accurate.

And Sheikh Imran is not an expert on Symbolism i would say, but maybe this Tradition of the Prophet (saw) might answer your question as to how this Shaikh has been able to explain the Hadith of rising from West.....

Abdur Rahman ibn Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud (RA) reported on the authority of his father that the Prophet (SAW) said, “May Allah keep him fresh (and radiant) who heard my words, retained them (in his heart) and remembered them, and conveyed them (to others). Many a bearer of Hadith passes it on to one more learned than him...." (Jami Tirmizi)

The Traditions which include the signs of the End of times have been conveyed throughout the history of Islam. But some of them can only be understood and interpreted by knowledgeable people of our age.

Also i believe that the event "Rising of the Sun from the West" is not a one day cosmological event which will take place by literally Sun rising from the West than the East. I believe that this is a Sign which will appear and remain for a long period of time

For example many Muslims and Muslim Scholars believe that When Gog and Magog are released this will happen in one day and the destruction of the earth will take place in one day or in a few days the earth will experience world wide destruction and life will come to a complete halt.... but when we read another Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (saw) it seems wrong to come to this conclusion....

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: The Prophet said "The people will continue performing the Hajj and 'Umra to the Ka'ba even after the appearance of gog and Magog." (Bukhari Book #26, Hadith #663)

So the release of Gog and Magog is not a one day event rather even after their release the world will keep living their usual way of life and go to their work and school and Muslims will also perform Hajj and Umrah and the Muslim world will also be living their lives as normal.

So the Sun Rising from the West is also not a one day event i believe rather the time frame between its appearance and its end is several years, probably Hundred years or more and it makes sense if we believe that Rising of the Sun from the West to refer to the Rise of the Western Secular civilization and people imititating and following its way of life and abandoning their cultures and traditional lifestyle.

The 10 major signs tradition is this ...

"It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly." (sahih Muslim)

I believe that Sun Rising from the West will be the 1st one because in Mariuful Quran i.e. a Tasfsir my Mufti Muhammad Shafi in which he mentions this Tradition....

"And in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad, it has been reported on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Umar (r.a) that Holy Prophet (saw) said Out of these signs (i.e. 10 Major signs) the first to come will be the rising of the Sun from the West, and the appearance of the animal of the earth (i.e. Beast Dabbat Ul Ard)."

Also another Tradition that Mufti mentions is necessary to keep in mind especially in regards to the duration of the Rising, will it be a few days event or it will prolong for several years after its appearance, i believe the latter...

"Imam Al Qurtubi in his Tazkira and Hafiz ibn Hajar, in his Sharh al Bukhari, while citing a narration from Sayyidina Abdullah Ibn Umar (r.a) have also reported that Holy Prophet (saw) said After this event i.e. after the sun rising from the West, the world will keep suriving for one hundred and twenty years." (Ruh Ul Ma'ani)

Mariful Quran can be accessed from here and for the traditions i mentioned pls click on Chapter 6 Surah Al Anaam Verse 158 and read his Tafsir...

http://islamicstudies.info/maarif/

Also if we try understanding from the point of view of Shaikh Imran and how explained the 10 Major signs we can atleast for now conclude that had it not been for the Rising of the Sun from the West i.e. Emergence of Western Secular civilization (starting from Britain and then Capitalism and Communism) the remianing Major signs cannot take place....

Dajjal cannot arrive before that, Gog and Magog cannot reach the height of their power had it not been for Industrialization, Beast of the Earth i.e. Israel becoming a superpower in the Middle East or Zionism or Beast of the Earth could also be USA and Allah (swt) knows best, If Dajjal will not come then Isa (a.s) will not arrive. Since Western Civilization will not emerge then Muslims will not be enslaved therefore Imam Mahdi will not appear till they become enslaved. If Imam Mahdi will not appear then obviously the sinking of the Earth and Army in Arabian Peninsula wont take place.

Your correct that the Scholars of Islam have an understanding about the 10 major signs that there is no sequence of their taking place that as to which one will take place first.

But the Tafsir i mentioned does mention those traditions which say Sun Rising from the West is the first one. Also there are no other traditions to be found which mention any other sign out of the 10 signs would appear 1st except Sun Rising from the West.

I believe that the sun rising from the west will be literal and that after this event, recognizable to all, tawbah will not be accepted. I believe any symbolic interpretation, such as the rise of western secularism, of this prophecy is incorrect.

The attached link has two short videos. http://www.discoveringislam.org/sun_..._from_west.htm

The first one talks about the poles of the earth swapping such that north becomes south. Try an experiment. Rotate from right to left (horizontally) an object that has markings to tell its left from its right and notice what becomes visible first. Now, rotate the object vertically such the the top becomes the bottom. Again, rotate the object right to left as before and notice that the other side becomes visible first. If you imagine that the object is the earth and that you are the sun, you can see that the opposite (west) side of the earth would 'see' the sun first if the north pole becomes the south pole. The earth is already tilted on its axis which gives us the seasons. It does not take much imagination to see that some event could trigger this tilt to become magnified and the poles actually swapping.

The second video claims that the spinning of the earth on its axis is tightening some cosmic spring and that it will reach a point where the spring can't be tightened anymore and then the only way it can go is to reverse the direction of rotation. I don't buy into this theory due to Newton's first law, inertia, in "Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy". According to wiki: "Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to a change in its state of motion or rest."

The prophecy about the competition by the bedouin Arabs in building tall buildings is being fulfilled today as in the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and the Abraj Al-Bait Tower in Mecca shows that we are indeed getting closer.

Assalamu-alaikum,

I see that the conversation is currently dealing with the 'rising of the sun from the west'.

I just wanted to add a few more points (in addition the very valid comments made by brother Scimi and bro MustafaMC above) with regards to why the sun rising from the west should be taken in its literal sense.....
If necessary, the mods can please seperate the two threads, insha Allah.

This is one of a few issues, that many scholars are not in agreement with Sh Imran Hoseins opinion, for the following reasons:

Firstly, if we consider the following hadith:

Bukhari :: Book 9 :: Volume 88 :: Hadith 237

Narrated by Abu Huraira, "Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, 'The Hour (of Resurrection) will not come.....until the sun rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it (rising from the west) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be the time when: (As Allah said,) 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through its Faith......'

According to the above hadith - everyone on the face of this earth will have imaan (too late for those who waited for this sign and then took shahada, but
nonetheless - everyone will claim to be muslim) - which is not the case at the moment.

If the sun has already risen from the west - then this would imply that it is at present, too late for disbelievers to now believe, nor will any more good deeds avail us, if we had not been performing them before......and I think we are all in agreement that no-one is currently holding this belief.

We should contemplate why imaan that develops after this sign is no longer of value:
For those who consider the sun rising from the west in its literal sense - taking shahada after being witness to something of such a magnitude...... is of no value anymore.
Faith lies in the belief in the unseen.
So, if one is only able to testify to the oneness of Allah (subhanawata'ala) and his final messenger (sallahu alaihi wasalam) after such an amazing event.....this would mean nothing.

Another point to consider: who will Imam-Al Mahdi need to wage war on? - there will be no 'disbelievers' (according to each person) in this case.

Secondly:

Many scholars accept, that the appearance of the Beast (which will mark the forehead of every human being as either a believer or as a non-believer) will come either immediately after or immediately before the Sun rising from the West....some say, possibly within the same day).

Abdullah-b-Umar said, "I memorised a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah which I have not forgotten. I heard the Messenger of Allah saying, 'The first of the signs that will come is the rising of the sun from the place of its setting and the emergence of the Beast upon the people. Whichever of these two occurs before the other then the other is right behind it." (Sahih Muslim)

(the underlined portion is to show that this sign is not necessarily THE first of the major signs, but rather one of the first signs that will occur or, one of the first extra-ordinary signs that will occur - Allah knows best).

Taking the above into account, one can insha Allah, appreciate the argument against the sun having already risen from the west.

And Allah (subhana wata'ala) knows best.

Salaam

here, i got some for ya's

Sadir al-Sayrafi says: I heard from Imam Abu Abdullah Jafar al-Sadiq that: ...

He whose rights have been taken away and who is denied

(HAZRAT MAHDI (AS)) WILL WALK AMONG THEM,

MOVE THROUGH THEIR MARKETS AND WALK WHERE THEY WALK.

BUT THEY WILL NOT RECOGNIZE HAZRAZ MAHDI (AS)

until Allah gives them leave to recognize him,

just as He did with the Prophet Yusuf (as).

(Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibrahim Nomani, al-Ghaybah al-Nomani, p.189)

an intriguing narration, because for his rights to be taken away, the leadership must know him.
yet, they seem to live in orwellian land

My dear Brothers and sisters the belief of the sun rising in the west and other major signs of the day of judgement being figurative rather than literal is a deviant belief and not one adopted by the majority of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah.

The sun WILL literally rise from where it emerges from in the west and all the major signs of the day of judgement WILL literally take place. They are NOT figurative.

Consider the following:

The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,

The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from where it sets. When that happens and people see it, all of them will believe. This is when "it shall not profit a soul to believe that never believed before, or earned some good in its belief." (Quran, 6:158) Surely, the Hour will happen when two men have spread out a piece of cloth between them, which they will neither buy or fold up. Surely, the hour will happen when someone has just finished milking his camel, but he will never drink what he milked. Surely, the hour will happen when someone is making a water reservoir which he will then never drink from. Surely, the hour will happen when one of you has raised a morsel to his mouth which he will then never eat. (Bukhari)

The great hadith scholar Ibn Kathir said that the sun's rising from where it sets towards the end of time is mass-narrated (mutawatir) from the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) [1], which is why classical manuals of Islamic belief, such as the celebrated creed of Imam Tahawi, include it as an article of belief. [2]

According to the order of the events of last days, there are many signs that precede the sun's rising from where it sets, including the Dajjal, the Mahdi, and the heavenly descent of the Prophet Jesus (upon him be peace). The great turmoil and subsequent peace and prosperity will be followed by a gentle wind that will take the soul of every believer, which will then be followed by the sun's rising from where it sets, and the emergence of the Beast of the Earth. [3] When these last two signs occur, the period of human responsibility (taklif) will come to an end and the door of repentance will be closed: the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "Whoever repents before the sun rises from where it sets, Allah will relent to him." (Muslim)

Even a casual perusal of the hadiths about the sun's rising from the West or the events surrounding this momentous event will clearly reveal that the current spread of Islam in the West is not what is meant by the hadiths. Plugging this figurative meaning into the hadiths would mean that the long hadith mentioned at the beginning of this answer would not make sense, that the Dajjal, the Mahdi, and the Prophet Jesus (upon him be peace) would already have appeared, and that the door of repentance would already have been closed, none of which is actually the case. There is complete scholarly agreement that the sun will really and literally rise from where it sets shortly before the end of the world, and this is what we are religiously obligated to believe.

Assalamu alaikum, and what, in your opinion, should be our attitude as Muslims toward those who say it is figurative and who apply their own non-literal interpretation to this hadith?

:wa:

We should tell those brothers and sisters to desist from taking such a dangerous position for believing such assumptions goes against the belief that such signs will literally take place. As mentioned in my previous post the hadith in which it is stated that the sun will rise from the west is Mutavatir which means it is authentic without a doubt.

Therefore believing otherwise that it is figurative rather than literal will cause one to be stepping into dangerous grounds for which one wil sgtart assuming that many other things in the Qur'an and Sunnah are also figurative.

So let us keep away from believing in such dangerous assumptions and instead take these major signs in the literal sense. For Allah says "Be" and it is. So be in no doubt that such signs will literally take place and only after the sun rises from the west will the doors of repentance be closed because then it will be apparent what is the truth.

And Allah knows best in all matters

Wa alaikum assalam, Brother Hamza, I agree with you that we should be hesitant to apply a figurative or symbolic interpretations to what seems literal and actual albeit they may be difficult for us to comprehend. What comes to my mind is that isra and the mi'raj was a literal journey and ascension.

Would you agree that we should be cautious of listening to a scholar who applies a figurative interpretation to the sun rising from the west and who says that the punishment for adultery is not stoning but rather 100 lashes?

Certainly yes. Scholars are entitled to differences of opinion as long as those differences are not deviant beliefs and having beliefs such as the major signs of the day of judgement being figurative and differing in beliefs regarding Hadd punishment like stoning of adulerers for which there is overhwleming support for in hadith and the Sunnah, then this should make one cautious to follow such a scholar. Rather it is best to follow a scholar who holds onto orthodox beliefs backed up by the Qur'an and Sunnah in accordance with the Ahlus Sunnah wal jama'a.

As soon as you start stepping out of the box like some scholars like to then you are in fact stepping onto very dangerous grounds in which you can start to look at other aspects of Islam in a different way and this opens the doors to having many other deviant beliefs.

May Allah enable us to follow the right path. The path of those whom he favoured and not those who were misled or went astray. Ameen

My sister it is best to avoid following such scholars as there maybe some truths but also many dangerous assumptions which may mislead us into believing that which is not true. Especially when it comes to the major signs of the day of judgement. Almighty Allah revealed to us and the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) only as much as is relevant to us. We do not need to delve so deeply into this topic that we start believing things to be figurative when in actual fact they are literal.

Believing the major signs to be figurative or metaphorical is in some ways rejecting authentic hadith as some of those hadith describe those major signs in detail. How can they be figurative when they have been described in a literal sense? It is very dangerous to move into such a realm where one starts viewing what is written in hadith as figurative and metaphorical. Doing so may also make us question other things whether what is described on the day of judgement and in jahannam and jannah is also metaphorical and figurative.

We must also realise that our own day of judgement will come as soon as we die which could be at any moment. So rather than look ahead we should concentrate on the present for Allah has revealed to us about the signs of the last day as much as we need to know and not anymore. After that it is just assumptions about the order of the signs etc etc.

So it is best to keep away from such dangerous assumptions which have no basis and instead accept the majority view of the ahlus Sunnah wal jama'a and that is that the major signs WILL literally take place.

And Allah knows best in all matters

No one will be able to defeat him no matter how hard they try and many will try and fail and end up giving into him, even strong Muslims. That is why the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) advised us not to go anywhere near him lest we approach him thinking we can defeat him and end up losing our imaan . Only Isa (As) will succeed in defeating him. But the only way to win against him is to enter his hell which will in fact in reality be Heaven.

'Verily, for our Mahdi there are two signs which have never as yet concurred since the creation of the heavens and earth; first is the eclipse of the
moon on the first night of Ramadan, and second is the eclipse of the sun during the middle of that same Ramadan. This (concurrence of a solar and
lunar eclipse) has never happened since Allah created the heavens and earth.'

The Double Eclipse In Ramadan Note. The Double Eclipse In Ramadan statement quoted from Darequtni is NOT verified, indeed it's authenticity is questionable. It is NOT to be considered as authentic Hadith.

i got this from here:

http://forums.islamicawakening.com/f20/solar-lunar-eclipse-imam-mehdi-12372/

Assalamu alaykum

There are two signs for the Mahdi... The first one is the lunar
eclipse in the first night of Ramadan, and the second is the solar
eclipse in the middle of this month. (Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-
Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 47)

There will be two solar eclipses in Ramadan before the Mahdi's
advent. (Mukhtasar Tazkirah Qurtubi)

It has reached me that before the Mahdi emerges the moon will
be eclipsed twice in Ramadan. (Related by Abu Nu'aym in al-
Fitan)

The most striking point here is that it is impossible for
there to be two solar as well as two lunar eclipses within
one month. Such things
cannot occur under ordinary
conditions.
However, most signs of
the End Times are incidents
that the humanmind can grasp and realize, depending on certain reasons.

If these incidents are examined carefully, some differences
become apparent. The best thing to do in such a situation
is to locate the areas of agreement. Theses are the following:
There will be solar and lunar eclipses during
Ramadan, these will be spaced about 14-15 days apart, and
the eclipses will be repeated twice.

In line with these calculations, there was a lunar eclipse
in 1981 (Hijri 1401) on the 15th day of Ramadan, and a solar
eclipse on the 29th day of the month. There was a "second"
lunar eclipse in 1982 (Hijri 1402) on the 14th day of
Ramadan, and a solar eclipse on the 28th day of the month.
It is also particularly significant that in that particular
instance, there was a full lunar eclipse in the middle of
Ramadan, a most striking prophecy.
The occurrence of these incidents during the same period
coinciding with the signs of the Mahdi's emergence,
and their miraculous recurrence at the onset of the fourteenth
Islamic century for two consecutive years (1401-02)
makes it possible for these events to be the
signs foretold by the hadiths.

wassalam

Central lunar eclipses are always total.
*The central solar eclipses listed above are total unless asterisked - in which case they are annular.
Dates apply to the instant of maximum eclipse.
Extrapolated Gregorian dates are given even on occasions when the old Julian calendar was in operation;
the corresponding Julian date is then shown below in brackets.

i found this interesting too,
notice that the stock markets go into turmoil and the price of gold begins to shoot up at both these recent events,
possibly a coincidence,
but quite intriguing :)

:sl:

As a student of history, I have studied the Bible and its fulfillment of prophecy through various historical events. Revelations is a particular favorite book of mine.

I am not as familiar with the Islamic end-times prophecy.

I'm still not sure about the literal interpretation of "the sun rising in the West", but that seems to be the general consensus around here, so I will let that lie.

I read somewhere that the Mahdi was supposedly born during Islam's last war with Israel. Unless my historical knowledge fails me, the last war of Israel was the 1973 war with Egypt. That would make the Mahdi 39 this year, if he is alive, and if he was born the year of Islam's last war with Israel.

With all of this talk about the world ending on 12/21/2012, this seems possible, but probably not very likely. I don't remember where I read this, but I don't think it was an authentic Islamic source.

there comes a time though,
9. It is He Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all ways of life, even though the Pagans may detest (it).
10. O you who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty?-
11. That you believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that you strive (your utmost) in the way of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if you but knew!
12. He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement.
13. And another (favour will He bestow,) which you do love,- help from Allah and a speedy victory. So give the Glad Tidings to the Believers.
14. O you who believe! Be you helpers of Allah. As said Jesus the son of Mary to the Disciples, "Who will be my helpers to (the work of) Allah." Said the disciples, "We are Allah.s helpers!" then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved: But We assisted and gave power to those who believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed.

let us be mentally prepared, the time is at hand

They were poorly equipped, and had only two horses and 70 camels with them.
Some of them had swords but no shields and others had shields but no swords.
The Prophet who was aware of these apparent handicaps, called a council of war, and put the matter before his companions for consideration and decision.
The first man who rose to speak on this critical occasion, was Miqdad. He voiced the feelings and thoughts of the Muhajireen when he said:
"O Messenger of God, do what God has commanded you to do. We are with you, now and at all times;
and we shall not tell you what the Israelites told Moses: ‘You and your Lord should go and fight against the enemy; as for us, we shall stay here, and sit here.'
No, we shall not imitate the Israelites. We shall follow you and obey your orders."

We should try and unite ourselves now not just sit here waiting for Mahdis arrival. That is not the mentality of a Muslim. A Muslim strives to do the best he can and to unite the ummah. Mahdi may or may not come in our lifetime so will we sit here waiting for him?

So let us strive to unite ourselves now and whenever Mahdi is destined to come then he will.

It is the holy destiny of our Imam Mahdi (ra) to unite our fragmented ummah and spread Islaam over all the world (jinn+mankind).

Yes and it should be our aim to also fulfill this work of uniting our Ummah not just sit there waiting for Mahdi. We are not created to wait for Mahdi. That is not our purpose. So some of us need to let go of this obsession we have with Mahdi where we give in to the fact that we cannot make any positive changes without his arrival. That is not the kind of mentality a Muslim should have.

It is not our purpose in life to sit there and wait until the Mahdi arrives "to unite us", but our purpose in life is to worship Allah, obey him and refrain from anything which angers or displeases. It is not to sit here waiting for the Mahdi who may or may not come in our lifetime.

So do that which will benefit your akhira and being obsessed about the coming of the Mahdi will certainly not benefit your akhirah.

Brother almost all your posts have been about awaiting Mahdis arrival so he can unite us. We as Muslims must do our best to unite as an Ummah NOW not just be reliant upon Mahdi to unite us. The mentality of a Muslim should be to leave a legacy behind that will benefit the Ummah. Not to just think we will wait until Mahdi arrives for him to unite us.

So what legacy will you as a Muslim leave behind for the benefit of the Ummah? That is what you should be concentrating on and putting your efforts into. Mahdi will arrive whenever Allah wills.

So in the meantime concentrate your efforts on making the best of your own short time here and in leaving your legacy behind for tge ummah!

Brother, I really think that you totally misunderstand me. I am just like you of the opinion that we Muslims must not just lay back and wait for the Mahdi (ra) to lead us, we must ourselves try to make a difference for the good of our Ummah.
But what I'm getting to is just that i'm so exited at the high probability that Imam Mahdi (ra), and Isa (as) Ibn Maryam (ra), might not be so far away for us living in these extremely interesting times.

Asalaam O alaikum

Brother Hamza and Ramadaan hope you both are doing fine.

Are you sure he or we wont see them in our lifetime ? How can we be so sure that we wont.

I think there is no need to argue with brother Saeed. He made it quite clear that he does NOT want to sit and wait for the Mahdi and Isa (a.s) and strive in the way of God as a Muslim is supposed to, but anticipating their arrival is nothing wrong with it because as many scholars say that we are living in the end of times according to the Hadith and Quran. This age of ours is a very strange times and many and most i would say signs have already appeared.

The scholars are giving lectures on Imam Mahdi (a.s) and end of times Hadith and have written several books as well and therefore there is no doubt that we are living in the end of times and since Mahdi and Isa (a.s) are two main subjects of the end of time in Islam then there is NOTHING wrong if we anticipate that their arrival might be close....

According to a tradition that is narrated by Imam Ahmad (RA) on the authority of Nauman Ibn Bashir (RAA), Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is reported to have said to his Companions: “The period of Prophet hood will remain among you so long as Allah wills, then He shall cause it to end. After that, there will be Khilafah among you on the pattern of Prophet hood, and this will last as long as Allah wills, and then He shall cause it to end. After that, there will be a reign of oppressive monarchy, and this will also last as long as Allah wills, and then He shall cause it to end (abolishment of Ottoman Khilafah in 1924). After that there will be a period of enslavement, and this will last as long as Allah wills, then He shall cause it to end. Finally, there will again be Khilafah on the pattern of Prophet hood.” (Musnad Ahmad)

The Khilafah after prophet hood was no doubt the time period of Rightly guided Caliphs i.e. 4 of them.

There is no doubt that we're living in that age which i have highlighted and underlined i.e. The Period of Enslavement (Muslim nations have been divided in to more than 50 states and majority country rulers are ruling on us on behalf of West and Zionism). This period began after 1924 Khilafah was abolished (which was monarchy) which kept Muslims united to a great extent.

This is not my own interpretation btw. And since we're living in the times which as soon as would end the Khilafah on the pattern of prophet hood will return means kHilafah of Imam Mahdi and Isa (a.s). So one has to be blind not to accept that we're living in the end of times and living in the times as explained by Prophet (saw) himself.

Since common sense tells us that when Monarchy period was over i.e. 1924 Khilafah was abolished by Western Crusade forces the Hijaz (Arabian Peninsula) has been taken over by Saudis and House of Saud who never brought back the Caliphate and unite the Muslims and rather helped Zionism establish their foot hold in Middle East by letting them conquer Muslim countries therefore leading this Ummah towards enslavement period.

Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Disagreement will occur at the death of a caliph (in Arabic language any leader/president/king may be referred to as a Caliph) and a man of the people of Medina will come flying forth to Mecca. Some of the people of Mecca will come to him, bring him out against his will and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam....... He will divide the property, and will govern the people by the Sunnah of their Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and establish Islam on Earth. He will remain seven years (seven in Arabic also means several), then die, and the Muslims will pray over him.(Kitab Al Mahdi Sunan Abu Dawud)

The Rift is already happening and has been going on within Saudi Royals since the death of King Fahd. There is hundreds of princes who want to rule. At the moment there are problems within the royal family if King Abdullah dies its being anticipiated that situation might even get out of control.

http://www.rasid.com/english/?act=artc&id=131

You can google more article on the royal family succession problem.

I again do not say we need to sit and wait and not struggle like a Muslim is supposed to according to Quran and Sunnah, but to turn away from all the above and pretend like nothing is happening is also not right, because the reason why Prophet (saw) himself gave us this news was so the Muslims who see that period can rejoice.

Till Imam Mahdi (a.s) comes and things change we no doubt need to hold on to these words of Prophet Muhammad (saw)...

"If you have a sapling, if you have the time, be certain to plant it, even if The Hour starts to break forth."

So keep planting even if we dont get to see Imam Mahdi (a.s) because that is what we will reap in the hereafter.

I'm sure I never said or implied in any way that we won't see him in our lifetime.

On the other hand, brother Said Soussi keep reiterating that he is waiting for imam mahdi.

I do think that kind of mentality is one of the reasons why muslims are currently weak: many muslims are just hoping someone will come soon to solve our problems. It's as if we depend on imam mahdi to make us muslims united and strong.

What brother Hamza said on this matter is enough, in my opinion.

Many people are under the illusion that it will be an exciting time when Imam Mahdi arrives when in actual fact it will be the hardest times for Muslims in the history of mankind that all Prophets made dua for Dajjal not to come in their Ummah. So if the strongest Muslims are to fail then what chance to we stand?

None of us should hope to be alive when Dajjal arrives and those who Mahdi rejects from the Muslims to be of his army will be the most unfortunate of all people. So we should not be under any illusion that these will be "exciting" times for they will be the most testing times Muslims will ever face where even the strongest will fail. After the arrival of Dajjal then if we are not strong in our imaan then we will not be able to become strong after that.

So let us concentrate on strengthening our imaan, obeying Allah and doing our best to leave a legacy behind us to unite and be of benefit to the Ummah.

Please brother, as i said earlier and will keep saying until it's rightly understood: i am certainly NOT just waiting for the arrival of the Mahdi [ra]. I am doing my duties, just as you are brother I hope, as a Muslim by worshipping Allah [swt].
That said it is quit clear to a person with common sense that the only ones who will truly unite the Muslim Ummah, just like it was in the blessed period of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [saws] and his Sahaba [raa], are Imam Mahdi [ra] and Prophet Isa [as] Ibn Maryam [ra].

Very true brother. This will not be an exciting "event", this will be an extremly hard test for us muslims. I do not either understand this "obsession" of Mahadis and dajjals arrival, its not something anyone want to experience(I certainly dont). People should focus on living NOW and do good deeds before the death comes, he is just right the corner waiting for ones time to pass.

The times before and during the arrival of Dajjal and Mahdi there will be the biggest of wars in the history of Earth, utter famine and starvation especially for the believers and the most difficult tests that Muslims will ever face where even the strongest will fail.

Every Prophet was worried that the Dajjal will arrive in their Ummah and warned their people of his arrival and were excited about it?

Sound like exciting times? Certainly not!

And as for me i have reasons to believe that that time is near when Imam Mahdi (a.s) will arrive and Dajjal is currently ruling the world i believe through Western Secular Civilization .....Prophet (saw) said "He will rule the earth for 40 days, one day like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week and rest of his days like our days...."

His day like a year and a month and a week are time dimensions different than ours and therefore he has already ruled the world from britain in a day like a year, he is ruling the world from USA in a day like a month and rule from Israel in a day like a Week, when Israel becomes the ruling state in the world after launching its big wars against Iran and the Arab world for which they are preparing very much....a demo was displayed to us in Gaza 2008 massacre and in 2006 in Lebanon

Therefore the millions of deaths and destruction in Africa, World war 1 and 2 and the blood shed in the Middle East and famine in Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan has already begun.... its already around you ... and no doubt the worst is coming...World War 3 and destruction of the Arabs....

Muhammad ibn Abu Razin reported on the authority of his mother that she said that whenever an Arab died Umm Harir became very grieved. She was asked, “We observe that you are much grieved when anyone of the Arabs dies.” She said that she had heard her master say that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, one of the signs of the approach of the Last Hour is the destruction of the Arabs." I dont know my brother where do you see the excitement about Dajjal that we have said. But yes we will be excited if we know Imam Mahdi and Isa (a.s) will arrive and that is a Mercy from Allah (swt).

And im thinking if Dajjal is so important to be aware of as every Prophet warned their Ummah about it, then wouldn't it be strange that we become heedless and not prepare ourselves and our families of his coming knowingly that his time his here. Shouldn't we locate the signs of his arrival from the Traditions of the Prophet (saw) by connecting them to the political, economic and social events taking place around us.

Obviously for what else did the Prophet (saw) warned us for if we are to not locate those signs and prepare ourselves ?

Therefore the signs of the end of times are already here, we can see them and one has to be blind not to be able to see them taking place.

Some of the signs are a mercy for which Muslims are supposed to be grateful to Allah (swt) like establishment of Khilafah, arrival of Imam Mahdi, coming of Jesus (a.s), Army of Khorasaan, the fight against Jews (zionists) and their defeat etc etc..... and some of them are bad and they also have been given to us to prepare ourselves against them like Dajjal, destruction of Arabs, Gog and Magog, earthquakes etc etc. Simple.

I don't see why do you have objection to this. Thats fine if you still don't want to believe and therefore we can agree to disagree. :)

My brother these are all based on assumptions, they are not fact. So we should not take them as fact but just an opinion of a scholar. There is nothing wrong with considering opinions as long as they are not considered as facts.

Salaam.

Brother what i object to is not that we should not contemplate over the major signs as i think we should, but my objecion is as i have stated in my previous posts, that we as Muslims should not become over reliant on waiting for Mahdi to come to sort out the affairs of the Muslims and unite us. Mahdi will come when his time is due whenever Allah wills, which may or may not be in our lifetime. So until then it is upto us to work for the betterment of our ummah.

If we become to reliant on Mahdi then we will just become lazy and give up thinking there is no hope until Mahid comes to sort our affairs out and unite us. As Muslims each one of us can make a difference. Each one of us can do something to unite the ummah and benefit the Muslims. Each one of us can leave a legacy behind. But if we become too reliant for Mahdi to come and sort things out then where will that leave our ummah for the time being?

What guarantee is there that Mahdi will come anytime soon? He may or may not come in our lifetime. What you have posted are all assumptions, they are not fact so please brother do not take them as fact. Concentrate on what is important and what is important is that we work for our hereafter. That we work for the betterment of our ummah. That we make the best of each precious little second that we have left to make the best we can of our hereafter.

Our purpose in life is not to wait for Mahdi for it never was. Why do you think the coming of Mahdi or Dajjal is not mentioned much in the Qur'an nor is it mentioned so much in the Sunnah. It is because his arrival is only important once he arrives, not as much before then. As long as we are aware of the basics, but the main thing is to prepare ourselves. How do we prepare ourselves? by concentrating on assumptions on the arrival of Mahdi and Dajjal? No. By increasing our imaan so that we are as strong as possible. By working for the betterment of our Ummah and by leaving our own legacy behind, not relying on Mahdi as he will do what he has to whenever his time will come.

So let us get out of this over reliance on Mahdi mentality and work for the betterment of our ummah and do our best to leave our own legacy behind, because our time is short and there is no point concentrating on assumptions but let us concentrat on the facts.

And Allah knows best in all matters

PORTENTS AND FEATURES
OF THE MAHDI’S COMING

PART TWO
THE MAHDI’S FEATURES
Through the words “Be told the glad tidings of the Mahdi” (Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir al-Zaman, p. 12) our Prophet (saas) has drawn attention to the importance of awaiting the Mahdi’s coming with excitement and enthusiasm, and of preparing for this special individual. Another hadith describes the love and devotion that the believers should feel toward him: Whoever witnesses him, let him/her go to him, even by crawling over snow. Let him/her join him, because he is the Mahdi. (Sunan Ibn Majah, Fitan, B 34, H 4082; Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 14)
THE MAHDI WILL DEFINITELY APPEAR
Even if only one day of the world remained, Allah would extend that day until he (the Mahdi ) takes power. (Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 10)
If it were the last day of life, Allah would prolong that day until He sends a man (Mahdi) from the Family of my [Muhammad’s] House. (Ibid., p. 10)
The Mahdi will come to my [Muhammad’s] community… In his time, my community will be blessed with a blessing the like of which has never been seen before. He will cause much rain to fall, and the plants of the ground will hold back nothing. ( Ibid., p. 9)
Even if only one night remained for the world, Allah would extend it, so that one from my House would come and rule the world. His name matches mine, and his father’s name my father’s name. Just as the world was filled with cruelty, he will fill it with justice. (Ibid., p. 11)
THE MAHDI WILL BE DESCENDED FROM OUR PROPHET’S (SAAS) LINE
Even if there remains only one day for the world, Allah, the Exalted, will send a man from the Ahl al-bayt (People of the House). (Sunan Abu Dawud, 5:92)
Days and nights will not end until an individual from my Ahl al-bayt rules the world. (al-Uqayli)
The Mahdi is from the line of my daughter Fatima. (Sunan Ibn Majah, 10:348)
Be told the good news of the Mahdi. He is one from the Quraysh and from my Ahl al-bayt. (Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 13)
The Mahdi is one of my children. His face is like a star shining in the sky. (Ali b. al-Sultan Muhammad al-Harawi al-Hanafi, Risaletul Mesreb elverdi fi mezhebil Mahdi)
All prophets are related to one another. As stated in the hadiths, the Mahdi will also be of that line. These descendants are popularly known as “sayyid,” and so the Mahdi will also be a “sayyid.”
In the Qur’an Allah refers to messengers being descended from one another. These verses may also indicate that the Mahdi will be descended from that line. (Allah knows the truth.)
Allah chose Adam and Nuh, the family of Ibrahim, and the family of ‘Imran over all other beings – descendants one of the other. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 33-34)
Our Lord, make us both Muslims submitted to You, and our descendants a Muslim community submitted to You. Show us our rites of worship and turn toward us. You are the Ever-Returning, the Most Merciful. (Surat al-Baqara, 128)
And some of their forebears, descendants and brothers; We chose them and guided them to a straight path. (Surat al- An‘am, 87)
ALLAH WILL PERFECT HIM IN A SINGLE NIGHT
The Mahdi is from us, from the Ahl al-bayt. Allah will perfect* him in a night. (* i.e., will forgive him, or give him success and the inspiration of wisdom and guidance) (Sunan Ibn Majah, vol:10, Bab: 34, p.348)
Islamic scholars have explained this hadith as follows:
The betterment of the Mahdi in a single night refers to his being given eminent status. He cannot obtain this status by work or endeavor. As stated by Almighty Allah in the Qur’an, this blessing bestowed on the Prophet (saas) has also been given to the Mahdi. In verse 52 of Surat ash-Shura, Almighty Allah has said: “Accordingly We have revealed to you a spirit (Ruh) by Our command. You had no idea of what the Book was, nor belief. Nonetheless, We have made it a Light by which We guide those of Our servants We will. Truly you are guiding to a Straight Path.” The Mahdi is the most virtuous and the most perfect person of his time in matters of religion. This shows his greatness, the exalted nature of his status, and the greatness of his rank. (Ali b. al-Sultan Muhammad al-Harawi al-Hanafi, Risaletul Mesreb)
Bediuzzaman Said Nursi refers to the Mahdi in these terms:
In the time of the worst affliction of the End Times, He will send a luminous individual who will, of course, be THE GREATEST JUDGE (a great Islamic scholar to pronounce judgements), and THE GREATEST RENOVATOR (an Islamic scholar sent at the beginning of every century to teach religious truth according to the needs of the age), A RULER, A MAHDI, A GUIDE, A SPIRITUAL MENTOR (a great teacher to whom Muslims devote themselves, the greatest teacher of the age), and he will be from the line of our Prophet (saas).
(Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, Risale-i Nur Collection: The Letters, pp. 411-12)
MAHDI IS THE PEOPLE’S BELOVED
The Mahdi will not appear until he is the best loved by the people because of the evils that befall them.
(Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 27)
He will have the approval of the peoples of Earth and sky.
(Haythami, v. VII, p. 313; al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 31)
Allah will sow love of him in the hearts of all people.
(Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 42)
The Mahdi will come to people, and they will embrace him like a new bride, with love and conversation.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 35)
His rule will have the approval of the peoples of Earth and sky, all wild animals, birds, and even the fish in the sea.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 31)
The last of this strife is the killing of the innocent, when the Mahdi will appear in a manner approved of by all.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 38)
Allah will place his words in the people’s hearts. Thus they will be a community who are lions by day and who worship by night.
(Al-Uqayli, Al-Najm al-Saqib fi Bayan Anna al-Mahdi min Awladi Ali b. Abu Talib Al-i al-Tamam wa al-Qamal)
There will remain no individual who will not be pleased within the Community of Muhammad.
(Signs of the Judgment Day, p.163)
He is fair of face, fragrant, imposing, but lovable and close to people.
(Mahdi, Dajjal, Messiah, p. 102)
THE MAHDI WILL BE SPOKEN OF EVERYWHERE
The hadiths mention the time when the Mahdi will be spoken of and for long after he appears. In other words, his name will spread throughout the world.
When a herald from the skies cries out: “The truth is in Al-i Muhammad,” the Mahdi will appear. Everyone will speak only of him, drink of his love, and speak of nothing else.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 33)
After a herald cries out from the sky: “The truth is in the people of Prophet Muhammad (saas),” the love of the Mahdi will enter people’s hearts and there will be no talk of anything else.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 20)
THE MAHDI BE RECOGNIZED AGAINST HIS OWN WISHES
The hadiths reveal that the Mahdi will be recognized, although he will not personally desire this. In other words, he will not openly proclaim himself. Even though people will come to him and say: “The portents are present in you; you are the Mahdi,” he will deny it. Only after being “threatened with death” will he accept people’s recognition.
People will come to the Mahdi, between the Rukun and the Maqam, and take an oath of allegiance to him, against his own wishes. “If you refuse, we will strike you,” they will say. And the peoples of Earth and sky will approve of him.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 31)
There will be conflict at the time of the caliph’s death. One from the people of Madinah will run to Makkah. A group of Makkans will bring him forth (from where he is) against his wishes and take an oath of allegiance to him between the black stone (al-hajar al-aswad) in the Ka`bah and the place of Ibrahim.
(Sunan Abu Dawud, 5/94; al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 20)
… And then he will reluctantly accept their oaths of allegiance. If you witness this, take the oath of allegiance to him, because he is the Mahdi in heaven and on Earth.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 35)
The Mahdi, who is from Fatima’s line, will be brought forth in Makkah, and oaths of allegiance will be offered to him against his wishes.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 52-53)
… They will again find him in Makkah and say: “You are the son of so-and-so, your mother is the daughter of so-and-so, you have the so-and-so portents. You escaped us once, but now hold out your hand so we may swear loyalty to you.” At this, he will say: “I am not he whom you seek,” and will return to Madinah. Sought for in Madinah, he will return to Makkah. In Makkah, they will find him at the Rukun and will say: “If you do not accept our oaths of allegiance, if you do not protect us from the army of the Sufyan that is searching for us and led by one from Haddam, then let our sins be upon you and our blood on your hands.” At this, the Mahdi will sit between the Rukun and the Maqam and hold out his hand to accept their oath of allegiance.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, pp. 39-40)
At a time of bloodshed, people afflicted by strife will come to the Mahdi as he sits at home and say: “Rise for us!” He will refuse, but will eventually rise after being threatened with death. No blood will be shed thereafter.
(Ibn Abi Sayba, c. VII, p. 531; Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, pp. 52-53)
We are told in the Surah Yusuf that Prophet Yusuf (as) was also elevated by Pharaoh on account of his honesty, justice, knowledge, and trustworthiness:
When he had spoken with him, he declared: “Today you are trusted, established in our sight.” (Surah Yusuf, 54)
WHERE THE MAHDI WILL BE RECOGNIZED
Then the caliphate will pass to the Mahdi, the most auspicious of men, as he sits at home.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 26)
The oath of allegiance will be taken to him between the Rukun and the Maqam. The Mahdi will be so merciful that in his time nobody will be woken out of sleep and nobody’s nose will bleed.
(Ibid., p. 42)
THE MAHDI’S NAME
O People, it is certain that Allah has forbidden to you the oppressors, the hypocrites and those who abide by them, and has made the Mahdi, the most auspicious of Muhammad’s community, and who is in Makkah and whose name is AHMAD, son of Abdullah, your leader. Join him.
(Ibid., p. 31)
The figurative meaning regarding the subject is revealed thus in a verse:
… giving you the good news of a Messenger after me whose name is Ahmad. (Surat as-Saff, 6)
A VOICE FROM THE SKY (VIA RADIO OR TELEVISION) ANNOUNCES MAHDI’S COMING
... This situation will persist until someone from sky comes and says: “O people, from now on your leader is the Mahdi.”
(Ibid., p. 24)
When a voice cries out from the sky: “The truth is in Al-i Muhammad,” the Mahdi will appear.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 33)
When you see a fire from the east for three or seven days, you may expect Al-i Muhammad to appear. By the will of Allah, a voice will cry out from the sky the Mahdi’s name so that all in the east and the west will hear.
(Ibid., p. 32)
A voice will say from the skies: “The truth is in Al-i Muhammad,” and a voice will say from Earth: “The truth belongs to the Al-i Isa and Abbas.”
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 33)
When innocent people are killed and his brother is killed in Makkah, a voice will cry out from the skies: “This is your command. This is the Mahdi, who will fill the world with justice.”
(Ibid., p. 35)
Widespread strife that seems unlikely to ever end will arise and last until the cry “The Mahdi is the leader, that is the truth” is heard three times from the skies.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 55)
The hadiths state that a voice from the sky will announce the Mahdi’s appearance. In other words, people will learn of this event through radio and television. This voice will reach everyone, in both the east and the west. Indeed, every society will hear this voice in its own language:
A loud voice will come from the skies to the people of Earth, in such a way that everyone will hear it in his/her own language.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 37)
Nowadays everyone can enjoy access to the news by means of radio, television, and the Internet, and these reports are translated into their respective languages. In this way, everyone will hear of his coming.
PROPHET ‘ISA (AS) WILL PERFORM THE PRAYER BEHIND THE MAHDI
Prophet ‘Isa (as) will perform the prayer behind the Madhi.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 24)
As the Mahdi was performing the morning prayer with the believers in Jerusalem, he will introduce Prophet ‘Isa (as), who then appears. Prophet ‘Isa (as) will place his hands on his (the Mahdi’s) shoulder and say: “The call to prayer has been issued for you,” and the Mahdi will lead him and the believers in prayer as their imam.
(Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 25)
THE MAHDI’S INTELLECTUAL WORK WILL CAUSE ISLAMIC MORAL VALUES TO PREVAIL
The hadiths reveal that nobody’s nose will bleed in the Mahdi’s time, that nobody will be harmed, and that even those who are asleep will not be wakened. This shows that the Mahdi will wage an intellectual campaign by which he will silence those movements and systems that are incompatible with religious moral values, and that he will cause Islam’s moral values to prevail.
The Mahdi… will walk in peace. (Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha‘ah li-Ashrat as-Sa‘ah, p. 166)
...in his time nobody will be awoken out of sleep and nobody’s nose will bleed.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 42)
THE MAHDI WILL BRING OUT TRUE ISLAMIC MORAL VALUES
The hadiths reveal that the Mahdi will do away with all superstitions and practices that have been added on to Islam. As we learn from the hadith “He will govern people with the Sunnah of the Prophet (saas),” he will adhere to our Prophet’s (saas) path and, just as in his day, will be a means by which religious moral values are truly lived.
He [the Mahdi] will practice the religion just as [it was practiced] in the time of Our Prophet. He will eliminate the sects from the face of Earth. No sect, except for the original true religion, will remain.
(Barzanji, Al-Isha‘ah, pp. 186-87)
The Mahdi will leave no heresy.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 43)
The Mahdi will leave no heresy uneradicated. He will fulfill religious obligations in the End Times just as [they were fulfilled] in the time of the Prophet (saas).
(Barzanji, Al-Isha‘ah, p. 163)
Just as our Prophet upheld Islam at the beginning, the Mahdi will uphold Islam at the end.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, 27)
THE MAHDI ’S SPIRITUAL CONQUEST OF ISTANBUL
Allah will conquer Constantinople (Istanbul) for the people of His most loved friends… He will remove illness and tribulation from them. (Signs of the Judgment Day, p. 181)
Lands will follow his commands. Allah will favor him with the conquest of Constantinople. (Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 56)
Many scholars from various lands will set out, unaware of one another, to seek the Mahdi, and up to 310 will accompany each one of them. They will all finally meet in Makkah. When they ask one another why they have come, they will answer: “We seek the Mahdi, who will put an end to strife and capture Constantinople, because we have learned the names of his father, his mother, and his army.”
(Ibid., p. 40)
The Mahdi will conquer Constantinople and Mount Daylam.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 27)
When no time is left in the world, or even a single day remains, Allah will extend that day so that one of my [Muhammad’s] line may become lord of Mount Daylam and Constantinople on that day.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 74)
THE MAHDI WILL APPEAR WHEN THERE IS NO CALIPH
He will come, when no caliph remains, to write his name in the world.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 54)
The year in which he will emerge, people will perform hajj together and gather without an imam.
(Narrated by `Amr ibn Shu`ayb, al-Hakim, and Nu`aym ibn Hammad)
... people make pilgrimage without an imam leading them.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi `Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 35)
THE MAHDI’S BANNER
The Mahdi’s banner will be our Prophet’s (saas) banner:
He will emerge with the Prophet’s (saas) woolen banner. This banner is four-cornered and unstitched, black, and has a halo on it. Unopened since the Prophet’s (saas) death, it will be unfurled when the Mahdi appears.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 22)
Other hadiths describe the Mahdi’s banner’s features:
It is certain that in the end times, an individual called the Mahdi will come from the furthest part of the land of the Maghrib. Helpers will walk for forty miles before him. His banners are white and yellow, features stripes, and bear the great name of Allah. No unit under his banner can be defeated.
(Mukhtasar Tazkirah al-Qurtubi, p. 438)
“Allegiance is to Allah” is written on the Mahdi’s banner.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 65)
As well as his banner, hadiths also draw attention to the city that he will conquer and plant his banner in Constantinople (present-day Istanbul):
During the capture of Constantinople, the Mahdi will plant a banner while performing ablutions for the morning prayer. The sea will divide into two, the water will move away from him, and he will follow the path thus opened up to the other shore.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 57)
THE MAHDI’S WORKS WILL CONTAIN NO SHAME OR CRUELTY
I find the Mahdi in the books of the prophets as follows: Neither cruelty nor shame will exist in the Mahdi’s practices.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 21)
THE MAHDI WILL RULE THE WORLD, JUST LIKE DHU’L QARNAYN (AS) AND THE PROPHET SULAYMAN (AS)
The Qur’an reveals that Dhu’l Qarnayn (as) and Prophet Sulayman (as) caused Islamic moral values to prevail throughout the world. The hadiths reveal that, just like these two prophets, the Mahdi will do the same:
The Mahdi will rule Earth, just like Dhu'l-Qarnayn (as) and Prophet Sulayman (as).
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 30)
Four people became kings on Earth. Two are believers, two are unbelievers. The believers are Dhu'l-Qarnayn (as) and Prophet Sulayman (as); the unbelievers are Nimrod and Bakhtinasr (Nebuchadnezzar). One from the people of my house (the Mahdi) will come as the fifth, and he will be king on Earth.
(al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi `Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 10)
THE BOOKS REVEALED TO THE PROPHETS DESCRIBE THE MAHDI’S FEATURES
The Torah and the Bible contain information about the Mahdi’s features and the portents of his coming. For example:
I find the Mahdi in the books of the Prophets, as follows: Neither cruelty nor shame exist in the Mahdi’s practices.”
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 47)
One verse that refers figuratively to the subject reads:
We wrote down in the Zabur, after the Reminder came: “It is My righteous servants whowill inherit Earth.” (Surat al-Anbiya’, 105)
Islamic scholars interpret this verse as follows:
It is reported from Imam Baqir and Sadiq that “the RIGHTEOUS SERVANTS here are THE MAHDI AND HIS COMPANIONS.” (al-Hussayni al-Shirazi, p. 113)
In the Old and New Testaments we find the following information:
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist. The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling [a] together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah, 11:1-9)
In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it one from the house [a] of David one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness. (Isaiah, 16: 5)
… When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains. (Mark, 13:5-8)
ANGELS WILL HELP THE MAHDI
His commanders are the most auspicious of men. His helpers will be from Yemen and Damascus. Jibrail will be before them, and Mikhail behind. The world will be filled with security, and a few women will even be able to go on the Hajj (pilgrimage) with no men beside them.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 47)
Allah will support him with three thousand angels.
(Ibid., p. 41)
The hadith states that the angels Jibrail and Mikhail will be among his assistants. By the will of Allah, angels will help him.
The Qur’an reveals that angels assist true believers. For example, Allah supported our Prophet (saas) and the community of believers with angels:
... and when your Lord revealed to the angels: “I am with you, so make those who believe firm.” (Surat al-Anfal, 12)
... and when you asked the believers: “Is it not enough for you that your Lord reinforced you with three thousand angels, sent down?” (Surah Al ‘Imran, 124)
HOW SOME PEOPLE PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE MAHDI
Some people will come from the east and prepare the Mahdi’s sultanate.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 21)
A community will emerge from the east and assist the Mahdi’s sultanate.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 60)
They will descend to Jerusalem and prepare the sultanate for the Mahdi .
(Ibid., p. 47)
THE COMPANIONS OF THE CAVE WILL HELP HIM
The Companions of the Cave will be the Mahdi’s helpmates.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 59)
THE MAHDI WILL EXPEDITE HIS ACTIVITIES
This will endure for seven years. But every year of his will cost you twenty years.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 44)
The hadiths reveal that one year for the Mahdi will be the equivalent of 20 years for human beings. He will accomplish quickly that which it took people long years to achieve. He will find and implement very rapid, rational, wise, and permanent solutions to all problems.
THE MAHDI’S LOVE OF PLANTS AND ANIMALS
When the Mahdi plants a dry tree, it will immediately grow green and give forth leaves.
(Ibid., p. 43)
The Mahdi will plant a dry tree, and it will give forth leaves and grow green.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 67)
He will also take an interest in animals, and they will love him:
When the Mahdi points to a flying bird, it will immediately fall to the ground by his command. When he plants a dry tree, it will immediately flourish and put forth leaves.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 43)
The people of Earth and sky, all wild animals, birds, and even the fish in the sea will approve of his rule.
(Ibid., p. 31)
SIGNS IN HADITHS POINTING TO THE YEARS 1997 AND 1999
One hadith dealing with the signs of the Mahdi’s coming draws our attention to the years 1997 and 1999:
Until the 95th year, people will have possessions, in other words, things will go well. Their goods will decline in the 97th and 99th years…
(Ibid., p. 54)
It is likely that the expression “the 95th year” refers to 1995. Up until then, people enjoyed lives of relative well-being and conditions had not yet become that difficult. After that, however, a number of problems began raising their heads. Various political difficulties were experienced in 1997. In 1999, the earthquakes in the Marmara region and all across Turkey led to the greatest loss of life and property.
THE MAHDI’S WISDOM AND POWER OF COMPREHENSION
The hadiths reveal that Allah has bestowed a special power upon the Mahdi:
He is called the Mahdi because he has a secret power that cannot be known by anyone.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi)
Ibn al-Arabi lists nine of his main attributes:
1. He has foresight,
2. He understands the Book,
3. He knows the meaning of its verses,
4. He knows the states and actions of those he will appoint,
5. He will still be compassionate and just even when angered,
6. He knows the classes of beings,
7. He knows the intricate aspects of affairs
A leader who is aware of such things can make no mistakes in his commands. The Mahdi knows how to avoid mistakes because of his comparative knowledge, for his decisions will be directly inspired. In other words, he will rule with the law brought by Prophet Muhammed (saas). For these reasons, our Prophet (saas) said of him: “He will follow my trace and not fall into error.” From this we can see that the Mahdi will implement the Shari`ah, rather than making his own.
8. He has a sound understanding of people’s needs
Since Allah has chosen him, above all other people, to see to all their needs, his behavior and deeds, just like those of a true leader, must be in the peoples’ interests, rather than his own… A leader who engages in activities that are contrary to the public interest and who does not act on their behalf must be removed from office, because there is no longer any difference between him and other people.
9. The manifestation of secret things in his time, which will enable him to resolve all problems that may arise.
(Signs of the Judgment Day, p. 189)
The Mahdi’s Words Will Be Wise and Concise
In his sayings, the Prophet (saas) indicated that the Mahdi’s worlds would be exceedingly wise and penetrating. He will not speak vast amounts of words. The Mahdi will employ a very clear and effective style aimed directly at his objective. This wisdom in his words reveals that the Mahdi’s rhetorical abilities will be very powerful and, thanks to this superior attribute of his, it will be an easy matter to distinguish him from among other people.
In his works the great Islamic scholar Muhyiddin al-Arabi listed nine attributes of the Mahdi. He described how the Mahdi would have a unique wisdom and understanding as follows:
1. His possession of great insight
2. His understanding of the Divine Book
3. His knowledge of the meaning of the Divine Word
4. His knowledge of the nature and behavior of the people he will choose
5. His refusal to abandon justice and compassion even when angered
6. His knowledge of the classes of things
7. His knowledge of the intricate essence of events
8. His understanding of people’s needs
9. His personal understanding of the knowledge of the unseen especially needed in his own day, by which he can resolve new problems. (Signs of Qiyamah, p. 189)
THE MAHDI WILL BE THE MOST AUSPICIOUS PERSON OF HIS TIME
Join that person who is the best of Muhammad’s nation and who is your protector that clears up the difficulties for you... He is the Mahdi.”
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 57)
He will be the best person on Earth of his time.
(Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 27)
The Mahdi is the best person (of his time).
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 58)
THE MAHDI APPEARS WITH THE SACRED TRUSTS
The Mahdi will appear in the evening with our Prophet’s (saas) banner, shirt, sword, signs, light, and pleasant expression.
(`Ali al-Qari, `Ali b. al-Sultan Muhammad al-Harawi, al-Hanafi, “Risaletul Mesreb )
He will bring forth the Holy Land’s treasures, the Ark of the Covenant, the table of the people of Israel, the tablets of the [Ten] Commandments, the jacket of Prophet Adam (as), the staff of Prophet Sulayman’s (as) pulpit, and the milk-white gloves sent by Allah to the People of Israel.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 33)
THE MAHDI WILL BE FAR FROM PEOPLE’S EYES
At night he will be busy with prayer, his days will be hidden…
(Al-Uqayli, Al-Najm al-Saqib)
THE MAHDI WILL ENCOUNTER TROUBLES AND DIFFICULTIES
All of the prophets and messengers sent to warn and call the unbelievers to the true path were rejected by their people and exposed to various attacks and slanders. The Mahdi will also encounter such things. (Allah knows the truth):
“The Mahdi is from one of us, from the Family of my House…” The Messenger of Allah (saas) said: ‘We are such a household that Allah has preferred the Hereafter to the world for us. The Family of my House will surely suffer tribulations, be kidnapped, and exiled after me. The Family of my House will encounter trials and tribulations and be exposed to violence.’
(al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 14)
Our Prophet (saas) refers to this state of affairs in the following hadith:
The Mahdi will emerge with the Messenger’s (saas) banner when people suffer tribulations one after the other and have given up the hope of his emergence. He will pray two prayer cycles and then go to them and say: “O people, continuous trials came to the nation of Muhammad (saas), especially to the Family of his House, and we have been conquered and wronged.”
(Ibid., p. 55)
One hadith reveals that the Mahdi will conquer Istanbul, and his assistants will face various difficulties before that conquest and later defeat them:
Allah will conquer Constantinople (Istanbul) for the people of His most loved friends… He will remove illness and tribulation from them.
(Signs of the Judgment Day, p. 181)
In the Qur’an, Allah has reveals that many prophets and messengers were rejected by their peoples, accused of being crazy or sorcerers, and were subjected to many assaults and great oppression. But they remained patient in the face of these attacks and responded in the finest possible manner.
Messengers before you were also denied… (Surat al-An‘am, 34)
We will be steadfast, no matter how much you harm us… (Surah Ibrahim, 12)
But then they turned away from him and said: “He is an instructed madman!” (Surat ad-Dukhan, 14)
Equally, no messenger came to those before them without their saying: “A magician or a madman!” (Surat adh-Dhariyat, 52)
But he turned away with his forces, saying: “A magician or a madman!” (Surah ash-Shu‘ara’, 39)
He (Pharaoh) said: “If you take any deity other than me, I will certainly throw you into prison.” (Surah ash-Shu‘ara’, 29)
O you who believe! Do not be like those who abused Musa. (Surah al-Ahzab, 69)
They said: “Build a pyre for him and fling him into the blaze!” (Surah as-Saffat, 97)
Then, after they had seen the Signs, they thought that they should still imprison him for a time. (Surah Yusuf, 35)
Those who do not believe all but strike you down with their evil looks when they hear the Reminder and say: “He is quite mad.” (Surah al-Qalam, 51)
THE MAHDI WILL BRING THE ARK OF THE COVENANT TO LIGHT
He will bring the Ark (the chest containing sacred trusts) to light from a place called Antioch.
(Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti, Al-Hawi li al-Fatawa, II. 82)
He will bring forth the Ark of the Covenant from the cave of Antioch.
(Nu`aym ibn Hammad, Kitab al-Fitan)
The Mahdi will bring forth the Ark of the Covenant from the cave of Antioch.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 54)
THE MAHDI WILL BE A MEANS WHEREBY PEOPLE ENJOY ABUNDANCE
Everyone who goes there (near the Mahdi) will enjoy the divine plenty.
(Ibid., p. 26)
HE WILL KNOW THE SECRETS OF SIFR (ABJAD)
The Mahdi will also know numerological calculations and the secrets thereof. In his work Mevzuatu’l-Ulum, (Vol. 11, p. 246) Taskopruluzade Ahmet Efendi records how he will have this knowledge:
Some said that this book of valuable knowledge is subject to the Mahdi’s appearance, who will come at the End of Time, and he will understand the knowledge of sifr and its secrets. This knowledge has existed since the time before books of the prophets.
(Taskopruluzade Ahmet Efendi, Mahdilik ve Imamiye [Mahdism and Imam Mahdi], p. 252)
OBSERVATION AND SURVEILLANCE OF THE MAHDI
When the Dajjal appears, a man (the Mahdi) of the believers will oppose him. Many armed men watching in the Dajjal’s centers will oppose him.
(Mahdilik ve Imamiye (Ibid., p. 37; Sahih Muslim, c. 11, p. 393)
The hadith’s beginning reveals that the Mahdi will be observed and followed by the Dajjal’s armed men. We learn from the Qur’an that in earlier times, certain prophets who struggled on Allah’s path were also watched and that their enemies sought to control them by this means:
He is nothing but a man possessed, so wait a while and see what happens to him. (Surah Al-Muminun, 25)
THE MAHDI WILL ENCOUNTER NEGATIVE PROPAGANDA
In one hadith our Prophet (saas) indicates that all the oppression and the attacks against the Mahdi will merely further strengthen the him:
When the believer [the Mahdi] sees the Dajjal, he will say “O people! This is the Dajjal spoken of by the Messenger of Allah.” The Dajjal will immediately issue commands regarding him and will make him lay flat on his belly and cry, “Injure him.” But that individual’s back and belly will be broadened by the blows. Then the Dajjal will seize him by his two hands and feet and cast him away. People will imagine the Dajjal has thrown him into the fire. But he will have been cast into a garden of Paradise.
(Mehdilik ve Imamiye [Mahdism and Imamism], Ibrahim Suleymanoglu, p. 40)
This hadith states that the Mahdi will be “broadened by being beaten on his back and stomach.” In reference to this, the author of Mahdism and Imam Mahdi says: “The Mahdi’s fame is constantly announced and spread.” Yet since it is the Dajjal’s supporters who will do this, we may say that the propaganda will be intended to tarnish the Mahdi's reputation. The enemies of Islam at the time of our Prophet (saas) used poets, the publishing organs of the period, to denigrate him. These poets behaved arrogantly toward him at fairs and markets, accusing him of madness and sorcery. In the end times, too, the Dajjal’s supporters will defame the Mahdi and seek to damage his reputation in the public eye.
The hadiths describe how the Mahdi’s early years will be full of struggles, troubles, and difficulties. The “Golden Age” belongs to his final years, for only then will the Mahdi and Muslims achieve comfort, security, and plenty and lead lives based on love, peace, and unity.
THE MAHDI WILL HAVE FEW BROTHERS
“He will have few brothers …”
(Risalat ul-Mahdi, p. 161)
THE MAHDI WILL DISAPPEAR TWICE
Abu Abdullah Hussain ibn Ali reports that the Prophet (saas) said: He (the Mahdi) will disappear twice. The first will be so long that some people will say that he is dead. Others will say that he has gone. Neither those who love him nor anyone else will know where he is, only a very close servant will know.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, )
THE MAHDI WILL KNOW WHAT IS LAWFUL AND WHAT IS UNLAWFUL
Hussain was asked: “By what signs will the Mahdi be known?” He replied: “By his ease of heart and dignity, by his knowing what is lawful and what is unlawful.
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr Fi'l Imam al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar)
THE MAHDI’S SUPERIOR MORAL VALUES
HIS MORAL VALUES WILL BE SIMILAR TO THOSE OF OUR PROPHET (SAAS)
The Mahdi is totally submissive to Allah. He resembles the Prophet in terms of manners. (Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah, p. 163)
A son of mine will appear, whose manners will be just as mine.
(al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi,, p. 21)
Allah describes our Prophet’s (saas) superior moral values:
“And, doubtlessly, you are blessed with a great moral character.” (Surat al-Qalam, 4)
BELIEVERS ADOPT HIS MORAL VIRTUE AS A ROLE MODEL
He attains divine virtue. He receives knowledge of the faith and exemplary moral virtue from Allah.
(Konavi Risalet-ül Mehdi, p. 161 B)
The Qur’an reveals that our Prophet (saas) is the finest possible role model for true believers:
You have an excellent model in the Messenger of Allah, for all who put their hope in Allah and the Last Day and remember Allah much. (Surah al-Ahzab, 21)
HE IS COMBATIVE AND VALIANT
The days and nights will not end until a man from the Family of my House (the Mahdi), who will easily prevent disorder and who will not be dissuaded from doing so even by threatned to be killed, appears.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 13)
The Mahdi will take the matter seriously.
(Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah, p. 175)
He will continue his (intellectual) struggle until all people return to Allah.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 23)
The Mahdi will settle his account swiftly and will never break his promise.
(al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 24)
If he faces the mountains, he will destroy them by making a passage through them.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 39)
Allah speaks of His messengers’ excellent moral values and valiant natures in many verses. They responded to their peoples’ denial, mockery, snares, and assaults in the finest possible manner and always overcame them, with Allah’s help.
Therefore, carry out the orders given to you and disregard the idol worshippers. (Surah Al-Hijr, 94)
Therefore, do not obey the unbelievers and strive mightily against them with this (Qur’an). (Surah al-Furqan, 52)
Those who respond to Allah and his Messenger, despite the persecution they suffer, and maintain their good works and lead a righteous life will have a great reward. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 172)
THE MAHDI HAS A GREAT FEAR AND RESPECT OF ALLAH
The Mahdi fears and respects Allah like the trembling of a bird’s wing.
(Nu`aym ibn Hammad, vr 91a)
THE MAHDI IS VERY COMPASSIONATE
The Mahdi will be so merciful that in his day nobody’s nose will bleed.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 42)
His compassion for the poor is one of the signs of the Mahdi.
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr,)
He has great compassion for the wronged.
(Nu’aym ibn Hammad, vr. 50b; Al-Uqayli, An-Najmu al-Saqib, )
In listing the Mahdi’s characteristics, the great Islamic scholar Ibn al-Arabi refers to his superior compassionate thus:
1 He has foresight,
2 He understands the Book,
3 He knows the meaning of verses,
4 He knows that state and actions of those he will assign,
5 He will still be compassionate and just even when angered,
6 He knows the classes of beings,
7 He knows the intricate aspects of affairs,
8 He has a sound understanding of people’s needs, and
9 The manifestation of secret things in his time, because only then will he be able to resolve any problems that may arise.
(Signs of the Judgment Day, p. 189)
THE MAHDI HAS A POWERFUL URGE TO DEFEND ISLAM
The hadiths say that the Mahdi’s protective instincts are very powerful. He will respond to every word spoken and neutralize every action taken against Islam.
Even a single word spoken against Islam will offend him.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 30)
THE MAHDI IS INDEBTED TO NOBODY
He is from my community, a man who does not lower himself (who feels gratitude only toward Allah).
(al-Suyuti, Al-Havi, 2/24)
THE MAHDI WILL NOT TELL PEOPLE OF HIS NEEDS
Hussain was asked: “By what signs will the Mahdi be known?” He replied, “… People will need him, but he will express his needs to no one. (Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr, )
THE MAHDI’S ASSUMPTION OF RESPONSIBILITY
He assumes all duties and helps the weak and lowly.
(Muhyiddin ibn al-Arabi Futuhat al-Makkiye, 366, vol. 3, p. 327- 28)
THE MAHDI’S SPLENDOR
Hussain (ra) was asked: “By what signs will the Mahdi be known?” He replied: “By his ease of heart and dignity, by his knowing what is lawful and what is unlawful.
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr)
THE MAHDI WILL UPHOLD THE TRUTH AGAINST CRUELTY
The Mahdi will defend the truth against the oppressors. Indeed, he will extract the molar tooth (anything unjustly held) of a (cruel) person and restore it to its rightful owner.
(Al-Uqayli, Al-Najmu al-Saqib)
THE MAHDI’S PURITY
At a time of (systems) change, a man known as the Mahdi will come. He will be pure and beautiful.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 14)
He will appear at a time of strife, and his purity will be unmatched.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 24)
THE MAHDI’S GENEROSITY
There will be a caliph in the end times who will distribute goods without counting or calculating them.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 15)
A leader will come from your leaders, and he will not count goods. Whenever he is asked for something, he will say: “Take it.” That person will then lay out his shirt and fill it.
(Ibid., p. 15)
THE MAHDI’S TIME AND THE GOLDEN AGE
Many prophetic hadiths indicate that an age will dawn when Islamic moral values will prevail on Earth. These hadiths inform us that this period, known as the “Golden Age,” will resemble the “Age of Happiness.”
People will be so content with their lives in the Golden Age that, in the words of one hadith, “they will be unaware of time’s passage and ask Allah to extend their lives so that they may make greater use of these beauties.” Another prophetic hadith describes the Golden Age as follows:
The younger ones will wish they were grown-ups, while the adults will wish they were younger… The good will become even more good, and even the wicked ones will be treated well.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, 17)
A HITHERTO UNSEEN ABUNDANCE
There is a Mahdi in my community. People will come to him and say: “O Mahdi, give to me, too. Give to me, too!” The Mahdi will give him as much as he can carry in his clothes.
(Hadith at-Tirmidhi, “Fitan,” B. 53; Sunan Ibn Majah, “Fitan,” B 34, H 4083)
A Mahdi will come from my community. My community will enjoy such well-being in those days that not even a tenth of it has ever been seen before. The ground will give forth foods and will hide (hold back) nothing.
(Sunan Ibn Majah, 10:347)
At that time,, all members of my community, the good and the bad, will be blessed with blessing the like of which has never been seen.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 16)
Someone sowing a measure of wheat will find 700 in return.
(Signs of the Judgment Day, p. 164)
The Mahdi will fill the hearts of Muhammad’s community with riches, and his justice will enfold them so much so that when a herald is commanded to cry out: “Whoever is in need, let him come to me,” no more than one person will come. That person will make requests. The Mahdi will say: “Go to the treasurer and let him give to you.” When he goes to the treasurer, he will receive goods in plenty. But then he will feel remorse and say: “Am I in greater need that everyone else? Nobody went but me,” and he will seek to give back those goods. Then the treasurer will say him: “What we give, we do not take back.”
( al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 13)
In his time, flowing rivers will increase their waters. The Mahdi will bring forth their treasures…
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 36)
It is certain that at that time goods will increase and flow like water, but nobody will (stoop to) take them.
(Mukhtasar Tazkirah al-Qurtubi, p. 464)
The ground threw out gold and silver, those beloved things…
(Signs of the Judgment Day, p. 197)
THERE WILL BE WEALTH
A Mahdi will emerge from my community. Allah will send him to make people wealthy. The community will be blessed, animals will eat and drink in plenty, the ground will give forth its fruits, and goods will be given in excess.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 15)
Allah will eliminate poverty by his hand, and the Mahdi will descend to Damascus.
(Ibid., p. 66)
He will fill the hearts of Muhammad’s community with wealth, and his justice will be addressed to them.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 13)
The hearts of Muhammad’s community will be filled with riches.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 20)
GOODS WILL BE GIVEN WITHOUT BEING COUNTED
In the End Times, a khalifa (successor) will distribute wealth without even counting it.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, 15)
A leader will emerge from yourleaders, and he will not count goods. When anyone asks him for wealth, he will say: “Take.” That person will spread out his robes, and he will fill them.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 15)
There will be a khalifa from among my community, and he will distribute wealth without counting it.
(Ibid., p. 15)
IT WILL RAIN IN ABUNDANCE
He will fill Earth with justice and well-being. The ground gives forth its fruits, and the sky rains. My community will be blessed in a hitherto unseen manner.
(Ibn Abu Sayba, c VII, p. 512-513; al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 35)
In his time, the[Muhammad’s] community, both the good and the bad, will possess blessings the like of which have never been seen before. Although much rain falls, not a drop will be wasted, and the soil will be fertile and abundant without asking for a single seed.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 20-21)
(In the Mahdi’s time) the sky will begrudge none of its rain and will cause rain to fall generously. The ground will hold back none of its plants and will give them forth to perfection… (Mukhtasar Tazkirah al-Qurtubi, p. 437)
EARTH WILL BE FILLED WITH JUSTICE
Even if no more than a day remains until Doomsday, Allah will send an individual from my community, and he will fill Earth with justice, in the same way that it is now filled with cruelty.
(Sunan Abu Dawud, 5:92)
The Mahdi is one of my people, and he will fill Earth with truth and justice, just as it is now filled with cruelty and torture.
(Sunan Abu Dawud, 5:93)
This Mahdi will fill Earth with justice, just as people previously filled it with cruelty.
(Sunan Ibn Majah, 10:348)
After the Mahdi comes, the world, now filled with oppression and vice, will overflow with justice.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar,, p. 20)
There will be such an abundance of justice in the Mahdi’s time that just as all stolen goods will be returned to their owners, anything belonging to anyone else, even something stuck in a person’s tooth, will be returned to its owner.
(Ibid., p. 23)
THERE WILL BE PEACE AND SECURITY
Earth will be filled with security, and small groups of women will be able to perform Hajj without any men alongside them.
(Nu’aym ibn Hammad, “Fitan,” vr. 74b; Suyuti, c. II, p. 77; (al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 23)
He will fill the world, previously full of cruelty, with justice. There will be such justice that nobody who is sleeping will even be awoken and not a drop of blood will be spilt. The world will return to the Age of Happiness.
(Nu’aym ibn Hammad, “Fitan,” vr. 74b; Suyuti, c. II, p. 77; (al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 29)
People will take the oath of allegiance to him between the Rukun and the Maqam. The Mahdi will be so compassionate that in his time nobody will be awoken out of sleep and nobody’s nose will bleed.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 42)
ALL CONFLICTS AND DISAGREEMENTS WILL END
Earth will be filled with peace, just as a bowl is filled with water. No enmity will remain between anyone. All enmity, conflict, and disagreement will surely vanish.
(Sahih Muslim, 1:136)
The battle will abandon its load (arms and equipment).
(Sunan Ibn Majah, 10:334)
War will abandon its load (namely, arms and the like).
(Mukhtasar Tazkirah al-Qurtubi, p. 496)
He will do away with enmity and hatred. The venom will be removed from poisonous animals. Even a small boy will place his hand in a serpent’s mouth, and the serpent will not harm him. The wolf will be like a dog in a herd of sheep or goats.
(Sunan Ibn Majah, pp. 331-35)
In his time, the wolf will play with the sheep and snakes will not harm children. A person will sow a handful of seed and will receive back 700 handfuls of grain.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 43)
LOVE AND UNITY WILL PREVAIL
Just as Allah has freed them from the heresy of ascribing partners to Him through us and has placed friendship and discourse in their hearts and made them brothers [and sisters] in religion, so He will save them from the sin of corruption through the Mahdi and will make them brothers [and sisters to each other].
(at-Tabarani, Haysami, c. VII, p. 317; Nu’aym ibn Hammad, vr 52b; Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 20)
In the same way that through us they were freed from heresy and ascribing partners to Allah and placed friendship and discourse in their hearts, so it will be again (when the Mahdi comes).
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 20)
One of my sons Muhammad ibn Abdullah (the Mahdi) and the Lord will give life to the Sunnah. His justice and plenty will ease the hearts of believers. He will bring friendship and discourse to the Persian and Arab nations.
(Ibid., p. 66)
LIVES WILL BE LONGER
In his time … lives will be longer and things entrusted for safekeeping will not be lost. The wicked will be destroyed and nobody will be left who does not like our Prophet (saas).
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 43)
Lives will be longer, and things entrusted will be returned to their place.
(Imam al-Suyuti, Signs of the Last Day, Death, and Resurrection, p. 179)
THE DEAD WILL ENVY THE LIVING
His time will be one of such justice that the dead in the graves will envy the living…
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 22)
They will overcome all the oppressors and the cruel. There will be such justice in his time that the dead will envy the living.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 68)
The living will wish that the deadwere alive (in order that they might see the blessings imparted to them).
(Mukhtasar Tazkirah al-Qurtubi, p. 437)
In describing how the Mahdi will appear and make Islamic moral values prevail, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi said he would witness this beautiful time from his grave and give thanks:
In the End Times, the true lords of this sphere of life, in other words the Mahdi and his followers, will, by the will of Allah, come and widen that sphere, and the seeds will sprout. I shall WATCH FROM MY GRAVE and give thanks to Allah.
(Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, Risale-i Nur Collection: Kastamonu Letters, p. 99)

THE MAHDI’S PHYSICAL FEATURES
In addition to his moral values and struggle, our Prophet (saas) described the Mahdi’s physical appearance in great detail so that those who see him will immediately recognize him.
One verse reveals that the People of the Book will recognize the Prophet (saas) as “they recognize their own sons.”
Those We have given the Book recognize it as they recognise their own sons. Yet a group of them knowingly conceal the truth. (Surat al-Baqara, 146)
In the figurative sense, this verse refers to recognizing the Mahdi. When the Mahdi appears, people will recognize him, due to our Prophet’s (saas) descriptions of him, just as they do their own children. Yet despite this, some people will pretend not to recognize him and will deny him.
HE IS BEAUTIFUL AND RADIANT
He (the Mahdi) is a beautiful young man with an attractive face. The radiance of his countenance rises to his head and the black of his hair.
(Mahdisim and Imamate, p. 153)
His face is radiant, just like a shining star.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 33; Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 22)
His face is like a star shining in the sky.
(al-Daylami, c. IV, p. 221, Ibn Jawzi, c. II, p. 558; Ali al-Qari, `Ali b. al-Sultan Muhammad al-Harawi, al-Hanafi “Risaletül Meşreb elverdi fi mezhebil Mahdi”)
He (the Mahdi) is a young man of medium stature and with a beautiful face … The radiance of his face shines like day in his hair, beard, and the blackness of his head, and gives him greatness.
(Al-Uqayli, Al-Najmu al-Saqib, )
The Mahdi is one of my [Muhammad’s] children. His face shines like a star.
(Ibid)
He is lovely of face. The light of his face gives him majesty.
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr, )
There is a color in his face like that of a bright star.
(Ibid., p. 12)
Allah tells us of Prophet Yusuf’s (as) beauty:
She said to [Yusuf]: “Go out to them.” When they saw him, they were amazed by him and cut their hands. (Surah Yusuf, 31)
HE HAS BLACK HAIR
The light of his face rises to his head and the black of his hair.
(Mahdisim and Imamate, p. 153)
He has black hair. His beard is black.
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr,)
The radiance of his face shines like day in his hair, beard, and the blackness of his head, and gives him greatness.
(Al-Uqayli, Al-Najmu al-Saqib,)
HE HAS A MOLE ON HIS FACE
The Mahdi has a thick beard, bright front teeth, a mole on his face, and a broad forehead.
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr,)
He has a mole on his face.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 41)
HE HAS THE SIGN OF THE PROPHET (SAAS) ON HIS SHOULDER
The Mahdi will have the sign of our Prophet (saas) on his shoulder.
(Ibid., p. 41)
The sign of the Prophet (saas) is on his shoulder.
(Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah, p. 165; Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 23)
The mark of the Prophet (saas) is on his shoulder.
(Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah, p. 163)
As can be seen from these hadiths, the Mahdi will have “the sign of the Prophet (saas),” an evident mark, between his shoulders. Islamic sources describe this mark as follows:
Abu Saib ibn Yazid relates that: “My eye saw the seal of the Prophet (saas) between his shoulders.”
(Sunan Tirmidhi, 6:126)
HIS COMPLEXION
The Mahdi is Arab in coloring…
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p .15-75)
Note: The Arab complexion is a mixture of red and white.
Our Prophet (saas) had a reddish-white complexion. However, the visible parts of his skin were nearer to brown because of the Sun and the wind. The Mahdi will be the same color as the Prophet (saas), whose complexion is described thus:
Anas b. Malik said this about the Prophet’s (saas) complexion: He was white, but a brownish white.
(Ibn Kathir, Shamail Rasul, p. 28)
Not dark brown and not white, but with a little red. The Servant of God’s color is as white as that of someone who has just left the baths and grown a little pink, a color the like of which nobody else will have at that time. In other words, his complexion is a radiant white mixed with pink.
(Ibid., p. 28)
HIS GENERAL APPEARANCE
The Mahdi’s height is like that of the sons of Israel (Bani Israel).
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, pp. 29-36)
His body is an Israeli body.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi, p. 24)
It is as if the Mahdi were one of the People of Israel. (His behavior resembles theirs, being majestic and intelligent).
(Ibid., pp. 23-30)
He is ... a majestic individual.
( Mahdisim and Imamate)
The Mahdi's body is Israeli. It is as if the Mahdi were an official of the People of Israel (one of their leaders).
(Ibn Hajar al-Makki)
(His external appearance) resembles that of one of the Beni Israel.
(Al-Uqayli, Al-Najmu al-Saqib, )
It is as if he were one of the Children of Israel.
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr, )
HIS HEIGHT
The Mahdi will be of average height.
(al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar, p. 41)
The Mahdi’s name is Muhammad ibn Abdullah. He is of middling height...
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr, p. 11)
We learn from accounts that he is the same height as our Prophet (saas):
Anas stated that: ‘The Prophet (saas) was of middling height.” As we know, the word “rab’a” in the hadith means normal, medium stature. But there is a limit to normal height in the eyes of tall people, because normal height refers seven handspans.
(Hadith at-Tirmidhi, Shamail Sharif, p. 15)
HE HAS A BROAD BODY
The hadiths reveal that the Mahdi has a broad abdomen, chest, brow, and a gap between his legs and thighs. His head will be large in proportion to the width of his forehead. All of these description sindicate that the Mahdi’s body will be broad.
He is large of body...
(Al-Uqayli, An-Najmu al-Saqib, )
His brow is clear… His abdomen is large, the space between his thighs is broad…
(Fera Idu Fevaidi'l Fiqr,)
The space between his thighs is open...
(Ibid)
The Mahdi is from the line of Hassan (ra). There is a gap between his legs.
(al-Suyuti, Portents of the Mahdi, p. 22)
His ... brow is wide. He will fill Earth with justice and hand out goods in abundance.
(Ibid., p. 22)
HIS BROW IS CLEAR AND BROAD
The hadiths relate that the Mahdi’s brow will be clear and broad, and that his head will be proportionately large.
The Mahdi is one of my people ... His brow is open.
(Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat, p. 21)
The Mahdi is one of us, and his brow is open...
(Ibid., p. 21)
Allah will send a son of my line, with a clear brow, who will fill Earth with justice and distribute goods and property in abundance.

Asl,

Shia muslims call Mahadi(asl) Al-mahadi muntandar, which basically means that life is "freezed" until he emerges. That is what they believe. I think we should distance us from this because this isnt according to ahlu-sunna.

Again, it is required to work hard, to do their outmost in order to prove themselves in this life.

yes, maybe he will only appear when you are ready to take the burden,
and what a heavy burden it will be.
we shouldn't worry about when he will come, rather we should be concerned about whether we will turn on our heels and watch like it's a hollywood film.
be assured that he will be there for you when you are ready

and even if he wasn't (despite it being a promise), the task of the Ummah remains the same,

Allah knows best... we will know when the announcement is made in the heavens, and we hear it on earth, So Be It...

...at that time, be prepared to crawl over ice if you have to.

In the time of the Prophet pbuh, many Sahabi RA used to sometimes saw the following oath "May my parents be sacrificed"...

...how many of us can adopt the same mindframe, the same heart as these wonderful examples of true humanity? Are we even ready yet? I really do not think so. Prepare...

You are right. If that day does come, it will be a very difficult one for us, especially ones who are not in Saudi Arabia. I am disappointed by myself because I look forward to that day, but am not prepared to carry the burden...

Scimi
1. The Abdaals will know him later, after an army is swallowed by the earth.

And Ibn Abi Shaybah, Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Abu Ya'la and at-Tabarani in al-Kabir, from Umm
Salamah [radhiyallahu 'anha] from the Prophet [sallallahu 'alayhi wa-sallam] that he said:
"There will be conflict with the death of a khalifah. Then a man from the people of al-Madinah will come
out, fleeing to Makkah. A group of men from the people of Makkah will come to him and bring him out by
force, and give the bay'ah to him between ar-Rukn and al-Maqam. An army will be sent against him from
ash-Sham, but they will be swallowed up by the earth al-Bayda' between Makkah and al-Madinah. So when
the people see that, al-Abdal [the great righteous men] of ash-Sham and al-'Asa'ib [the groups] of the
people of al-'Iraq will come to him, and give him the bay'ah between ar-Rukn and al-Maqam.
Then a man
from Quraysh and his maternal relatives from Kalb will come and send an army against them, and they [i.e.
the Mahdi's men] will be victorious over them. That will be the battle of Kalb, and what a loss for the one
who did not witness the spoils of Kalb! So he [i.e. the Mahdi] will distribute the wealth, and he will rule the
people according to the Sunnah of their Prophet, and al-Islam will spread throughout the earth. He will
remain for seven years, then he will die and the Muslims will pray over him."
Abu Dawud said: "Some of them narrated from Hisham "nine years", and some of them said "seven
years"."

2. Its ridiculous to claim the Mahdi will not know himself when people who are around him exactly know his name and surname aslo the name of his mother which are not told in hadtihs.

Ibn Masood said:
"When commerce and roads are blocked and trials increase,
seven knowledgeable people will come
from different directions without previous appointment.
Each will receive the allegiance of over three hundred men
until they meet in Mecca.
The seven will meet and asked one another;
'What brought you here?'
They will reply:
'In Search of the man upon whose hand the trials will be calmed,
and for whom Constantinople will be opened.
We know him by his name, his father's name, his mother's name, and his army.'
So the seven will agree upon this and search for him then find him in Mecca.
So they will ask him:
'Are you so and so, son of so and so?'
He will reply:
'No, I am a man from the supporters.'
And escape from them, so they will describe him to people in their midst
that are both righteous and knowledgeable and it will be said to them:
'The one whom you seek was in your company,
and he will go to Al Medina.'

So they will search for him in Al Medina
but at that time he will be in Mecca.
So they will search for him in Mecca and say to him:
'You are so and so, son of so and so,
and your mother is so and so, daughter of so and so,
and in you are the signs of such and such, and such and such.
You escaped from us once so stretch out your hands
and we will pledge our allegiance to you.'
So he will say:
'I am not your companion.'
Then he will escape from them so they will search for him
in Al Medina when he has returned to Mecca,
then they will find him in Mecca beside Al Rukn and say to him:
'Our sins will be upon you and our blood upon your neck
if you do not stretch out your hand so that we may pledge our allegiance!
The army of As-Sufyani is coming demanding us in which there is a man from Jurm.
So he will sit between Al Rukn and Al Makam and stretch out his hand
and allegiance will be pledged to him.
So, Allah will sow love of him in the chests of the people
and he will lead a nation
that are lions during the day and worshippers at night."

He will appear with the banner Uqab which is kept in Istanbul. When he appears in Mecca with the banner Uqab, then its obvious he knows himself being the mahdi. Are you telling fairytales?

And Nu'aym also narrated from Abu Ja'far that he said:
"Then the Mahdi will appear in Makkah at the 'Isha' prayer, carrying with him the banner of the Messenger
of Allah [sallallahu 'alayhi wa-sallam],
his cloak and his sword, and with clear signs, light, and proofs.

The promised Mahdi will be among my family. God will make the provisions for his emergence within a single night.
(Ibn Majah, Sahih, Vol. 2, P. 519)

explain that?

no? ok lets try again:"The world will not pass away before the Arabs are ruled by a man (referring to Mahdi) of my family whose name will be the same as mine" (Sunan Abu Dawud).

However, many people in the past falsely claimed to be Imam Mahdi. One of these false claimants was Muhammad bin Tumarat, a tyrant who spread corruption and even buried some of his companions because they did not believe that he was the Mahdi described by the Ahaadith of Rasulullah

Some believe it was Muhammad bin Al-Sakari who disappeared at the age of five and went into hiding and has been hiding 10 centuries. Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani (the cursed) was also one of those who claimed to be the Mahdi as well as many other people. Beside those mentioned there were many others who claimed the office of Mahdi, the most recent being somebody from Manchester who claimed the position for himself. It should be noted that none of the above or anybody else who claimed to be the Mahdi in the past fulfilled the conditions laid down by the Prophet

Some of the signs which will precede Imam Mahdi are as follows, so that we Muslims are not mislead to believe in somebody claiming to be the Mahdi who in reality is a blatant liar.
ok let's try again, judging by the false self appointed candidates, we can clearly see that these men beleived they were the mahdi and even propagated as such.

The real mahdi will not allow himself to entertain such vain thoughts bro. You have to remember, he is from the lineage of Prophet pbuh and also the best example of Muslim in the world when he will be here, recognised.

Let's take a look at the line: The promised Mahdi will be among my family. God will make the provisions for his emergence within a single night. (Ibn Majah, Sahih, Vol. 2, P. 519)

To think, if God will make provisions for his (mahdi's) emergence in a single night. What could that mean? It's very simple, we have accounts of how the Mahdi will reach the rukn and the abdaals will offer him bayyat. But He'll refuse it. Then he will be given the opportunuty to reflect, overnight, and in that time - he will be prepared, as per above hadeeth... Why does he refuse the bayyat initally?

Just use your common sense bro.

Ah so it was your interpretation of these hadith. You put to much things into it.This hadith doesnt describe the Mahdi will not know himself being the mahdi. You made a fairy story about it.

You dont even know that the 313 are no abdals who are the first ones who will give the mahdi bayyah.
The abdals will give him bayyah after the sufyani sends an army against the mahdi, they will swallowed by the earth. When the abdals see that only then they will recognize the mahdi and will give him bayyah.

like I said before in my first post on the previous page the Mahdi appears with the banner uqab in makkah. This banner is kept in Istanbul and is not even on show for the public. To recieve this banner he had to be also very known which is described in the hadith I post on the previous page.

By the way why you have accused me that I put worth in your mouth which you have not said?

And yes, I made a numerical error with the 313 abdaals, it is 40.

This banner is not on show for the public. Its forbidden to bring out Historical relics in turkey. Make a google search there is only one pic from this banner. to recieve this banner he had to be also very known in turkey.

"One Selim will come and recieve the holly relics and one last Selim will come in the endtimes and will give the holly relics to Imam al Mahdi"
hadith

youtube /watch?v=0pe8CkTg9P4 the dresses for the sultan selim IV

the transfer will take place most higly in turkey. So the mahdi is very known by other people before he appears in Mekkah, so you are total wrong with your abouve story.
