So, basically, I'm English, got married in Pakistan, recently got the nikah translated from urdu into English and found out that I am independent and self represented as per affidavit duly attested by notary public of district courts. So there was no wali or witness for me, just for my husband.

Does this invalidate my Nikah? and mean that it's not legally recognised by UK law?
I've tried talking to a solicitor about this, but i don't trust them, so im just trying to find out if it's legally recognised here in the uk.

many help would be very much appriciated

Jazakallah khair,
