~
As part of finishing a poem I need to say/write something similar to "Mary's and John's" (instead of "John's and Mary's" (an expression in English that is generally interpreted as meaning "boys and girls")) and I need for both names, one for girls and for boys that (at least to some extent) are used in both Arabic and Hebrew
~
Maryam and Avra'im/Ibrahim have been suggested to me. I know "Maryam" is common/well-known, but is Avra'im a common first name for Arabic speaking people? Isn't it too religious? Any other type of suggestions?
~
Here is the poem:

(I got an error reading: You are not allowed to post any kinds of links, images or videos until you post a few times.) so there it goes:

~
please, replace spaces by front slashes and the name of the poem is: "lies ..."
~
and there you will find also the full spec of what I need
~
I use open office for editing docs and I guess, I will also have to deal with font related issues and right-to-left writing in Arabic/Hebrew, so I would for it to be written in a way that can be copied and pasted
~
thanks

OK, hoping the verses/stanzas will be properly rendered, here is the poem:
Code:
                                 "I wouldn't mind going to prison for the rest of my life,
                                                or being executed ..." (for freeing truth)
                                                                         --Bradley Manning

                             "the order and peace God wants is based on truth and justice"
                                          "discern the signs of the times and speak truth"
                                                 --Óscar Romero Archbishop of San Salvador
                                        assassinated (as many clergy and many more people)
                                      by United States' "School of the Americas" graduates

                                                                   "Truth is God" --Gandhi

 lies ...
~
 we understood God and monies
     to read stars and hunger;
    invented calendars, sorts, and numbers;
   kings, ... taxes and flags
~
 truth may get tired of its pace and shadow,
           for a purpose, dismiss its footprint, ...
 skies remind you of past and passing time;
       may -and will- become rain,
            rain rivers and rivers clouds re-imagining their blue.
 Lies, even when treading on traces of forgetfulness,
  don't redeem their many grains and peels
~
 Lies there are of learning tricks, sermons (and prayers), "laws", metaphors and ties ...
 So more many! ... yet, they are all
  same faith and language, corralling truth into taboo;
 some pretend to conceal fake hopes' nightmares,
  promise to only roam your soul's blind spots;
 some we recycle, some change old truths' attires (so they have an easier life), ,
     are seasonal, , try to sell secrets,
  myths and mannerisms as miraculous seeds of truths
~
 and, say what?!?
 tales went Pinocchio had heard a story (or was it its wooden dreams?)
 from Matryoshka dolls of some crying wolf (and/or playing flute to a herd?)
 in some land of beauties, rats, emperors and clothes
~
 truth is so self-evident, gratifying, so all of us, reliable, ... so profitable! (lies say)
~
 and, say what!?!
 we lost our smell so we could see,
    shut our eyes so we could hear,
  gagged and cursed our morals ... so we could be
~
 Lies work:
~
 An "I love you" learned from songs gave birth
  and its bearings you meant day in, day out
 all's well if you buy that thing and that other one
 you even mind your and yours' privacy (the Santa of adulthood!)
~
 we see a pendulum (and gravity!) dance with our heartbeat
 that lie didn't make a child, you can't possibly know, lose its toy
 you scratch their masks to face reality
 poetry rips their worth and mates one's own very feelings
~
  "People are so easy to brainwash!" ... know typesetters, cooks, and
 politicians, framing their "we" for us to believe and still wall them in "theys",
              and conceiving our own deceit, in addition to making us, futures and
               weapons "following orders" pay for it and deal with doubts;
             keep asking (or saying?): "what is 'the' truth?" (and you wonder ...),
   while misleading all of our faiths, our faiths' ways and compass,
 leave that paradox, again and again, wondering about its naked self
~
 "Virtual reality" taught and trained them to kill
 their same and neighbor (and crack jokes while they are at it);
 then, they aimed at and shot their illusion,
 since there are Gods of sins, but ours are true ...
~
 Newspapers are published daily
 and you lived and prospered and procreated
 ..., "the sky's the limit", ..., "our kites won the cold war", ...
 and you know tomorrow the sun will rise. Regardless! (you believe)
~
 "'History' transcends people, their memories and truths" ...
 and since we write it, we trademark meaning (so they thought)
 "If we don't talk about it, we won't have to look at it"
 "We will surely find the weapons of mass destruction" (did they! ... (themselves!))
 "It is not about what we do, but what they think"
  we be Nazis and terrorists, but "it is different" (they think ... (again!))
 "A clock's tick will eventually trick time" ...
~
 we call abuses and genocide: "being 'a hero'", fighting for "freedom",
  "justice", "democracy", some "greater good", ...
 while the metonymy in a lever, up to that loud anonymity that mutes silence,
 tries to self-deceivingly defy entropy, , sweat and journals
~
 "might makes (or is?) right" we believe;
 it cost us Socrates, sanity, ... and we keep on
   trying to make weapons more sophisticated and dangerous than our own stupidity
 Satyagraha we disbelieve; have paid with Gandhi, Rev. King, ...
  many verbs of peace and we go on making Earth more foreign and senseless
 Edith Stein did believe, taught us holocausts, was canonized and gassed in Auschwitz, ...
~
 In spite of being numberless, she died.
~
 Julian Assange, , Randy Kehler, , our alphabets' hope,
  Daniel Ellsberg, Ron Ridenhour, debris' cries in Palestine, Ann Wright, ...
        , ('Mary(am)s' and Johns (instead of 'Johns and Marys') (in plural and in Arabic))
   have reminded us of her number
        as well as the same name and fate of so many killed;
   on clocks, , asset tags, ...
    of the weight and intent of the IDF bulldozer that ran over Rachel Corrie
  of lives, their children and all their plurals run over by lies' allies
~
 they never hide from reasons, voices and times; nor do they
             forget to resell us the illusion of getting smarter and
              make us pay with our own currency of truths
 yet, ...
 lies do ...
