In The Name Of Allah,
The All Merciful, The All Compassionate

Jihad

"If anyone killed an innocent it would be as if he had killed the whole of mankind. And one who saved a life would be as if he had saved the lives of all mankind."[5:32]
Jihad is not terrorism.

Jihad is not killing innocent people.

Jihad is not the strong bullying the weak.

Jihad is not collateral damage.

Jihad is not tolerance of oppression.

Jihad is not silence against injustice.

Jihad is not imposing your values on others.

Jihad is not a man-made concept.

The Jihad of Self-defence

Jihad is the struggle to convey the message of The One True God.

We are on this planet as representatives of The Merciful and Compassionate God to establish peace and harmony through complete submission to His commands.

Jihad is a concept of The One True God, Who alone deserves all worship.
***
All struggles in the way of God are jihad.

Fighthing tyranny, injustice, exploitation, occupation and oppression is jihad.

Muslims are permitted to take up arms against those who wage war against them.

Armed jihad is therefore permitted only in self-defence.

The retaliation against the armed attacks must be measured and proportionate.

Armed jihad is therefore permitted only in self-defence.

The retaliation against the armed attacks must be measured and proportionate.

Armed jihad is temporary in that it ends when the enemy ceases its aggression.

Muslims must move quickly to establish peace once the enemy seeks peace.

In Islam, showing compassion to the enemy that has been defeated or is seeking peace is considered superior to achieving victory.

The aim of armed jihad is to restore peace and avert more wars and aggression.

Muslims are prohibited from engaging in armed acts of aggression even toward their sworn enemies.

When others commit murders, their religion is never mentoned.

But when Muslims resort to violence against political oppression, economic exploitation and the taking away of their land, Islam is put on trial.

Muslims have a duty to explain the truth. Jihad is the struggle to convey the true meaning of the noble goal of jihad.

Today the enemies of Truth can destroy others without entering their territories..

They can destroy a country's economy by speculating on the country's currency.

Jihad is taking proactive measures against these 'unarmed' combatants in a manner that is tactically savvy and multi-faceted, and seek to restore economic and political justice and peace.

Jihad is aquiring knowledge and developing skills that will make it difficult for others to easily oppress and kill Muslims.

Jihad is fostering unity amongst the the believers in The One True God to strenghthen te coalition to establish justice and world peace.

Jihad is to be vigilant against the attempts by the enemies of Truth to make us define jihad in ways that serve their ulterior motives.

Jihad is not responding in a manner desired by other that will make it easy for them to tarnish the image of Muslims and Islam.

Jihad is preparing for the jihad of self-defence and propagating the Truth by winning the jihad against the Enemy within us.

The Jihad against the Enemy within

The jihad against the pull of the lower forces within us is a permananet jihad.

Greed, lust, vengeance and jealousy are amongst numerous types of evil within us that lead to misery in our lives.

Observance of the five daily prayers will shield us from shameful deeds.

Performing these well spaced out prayers at the appointed times will leave no time for mischievous deeds.

Fasting from dawn to dusk and doubling of good deeds during Ramadan will reenergize our moral batteries to fight the lower forces.

Paying the annual poor-rate or zakat is a reminder to us that others have a right over our wealth and that we should care for the less fortunate just as Allah The All Merciful has been generous to us.

Through a combination of obligatory duties and other acts that please Allah, Islam offers an integrated program of worship and life-style that strenghtens our defences against the pull of the lower forces within us.

Success in the jihad against the enemy within us is the foundation for achieving victory in the jihad against those who reject the Truth and seek to spread falsehood.

Islam, The Truth.
Jihad, the Noble Struggle.

1. Jihad-an-nafs (Jihad is to struggle against one's own self and desires)

Jihad-an-nafs is the most important and greatest jihad in islam. The messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said "The best Jihad is for one to perform Jihad against his own self and against his desires". Struggling against one's self desires means forcing yourself to follow the orders of Allah and to stay away from what Allah has ordered us to stay away from.

2. Jihad ash-shaitaan (Jihad against Satan)
Struggling against Satan means to defend yourself from his evil whisperings, his doubtful matters, his temptations, and his lustfulness. This type of jihad is an obligation for all individuals and no one can do it on another ones behalf. .
Some verses regarding Jihad ash-Shaitan"Surely, Shaitan is an enemy to you, so treat his as an enemy" [35:6]"He (Shaitan) said: My Lord! Because you have sent me astray I shall verily adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them everyone, except such of them as are Your perfectly devoted slaves" [al-Hijr 39:40]"And say: 'My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the suggestions of the shayateen (devils). And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! Lest that they may attend (or come near) me'" [23:97-98]

3 .Jihad al-kuffar (Jihad against disbeliever)

The struggle against the disbelievers has four levels, which are: In the heart, the tongue, one's wealth and one's soul. Jihad with soul means fighting Physically with weapons. Jihad means physical force in defense of Muslims against oppression and transgression by the enemies of Allah, Islam and Muslims. Jihad is misconceived today as a term that suggests violence by non-muslims and they says Jihad is same as terrorism. It is not Jihad that we attack on non-muslim's country just because they don't follow Allah. No it is not Jihad and Islam and quran doesn't Allow this. If we see in the life of Prophet muhammad (peace be upon him) he never attacked (jihad) on any one (nation) just because they are disbeliever. Holy prophet muhammad (peace be upon him) never forced anyone to accept Islam. Muhammad (peace be upon him) fought all wars in his life to defend Islam and muslim. He (peace be upon him) never attacked first, always enemies (non-Muslims) attacked on muslim and muslim defended. Jihad is also not allow against muslims or muslim country. There is another misconception by anti-islam is that if you do jihad and die (shaheed) in war, you will get 70 or 72 virgins. that is not true because Muhammad (peace be upon him) never said such thing in his life or in all jihads and also its not in Quran. The promise of "70 or 72 virgins" is fiction written by some anti-Islam bigots.

You are right. The most committing and difficult kind of Jihad.
