View Full Version : Here's a new game :) Make an Islamic word
jellybeans
06-28-2012, 12:22 PM
In this game, you have to make a word from the last letter of a word someone made before you.
Rules: The word has to relate in some way to Islam.
For example: Player 1) Allah
Player 2) Hadith (Has to make a word with the letter "H", in this instance.
To make things a bit more challenging, I've decided that you may NOT make a word that has already been used.
Think hard :phew and have fun! :D

Dars (lesson)
P.S. To make the game more challenging, and since most words are in Arabic, we can use the Arabic alphabet aswell. For example, if someone's word was Ardh, the next word would have to begin with Dhad and not Daal. But if somebody wrote a word in English, then the english alphabet would apply. And if there's someone who's not familiar with the Arabic alphabet, they can be excused. Just a suggestion...

haraam ((Arabic: حَرَام ḥarām) is an Arabic term meaning "sinful". In Islam it is used to refer to any act that displeases or angers Allah (God). Acts that are haraam are typically prohibited in religious texts and is the highest status of prohibition given to anything that would result in sin when a Muslim commits it. A milder ruling than haraam is "makruh", which means "disliked". A haraam (sin) is recorded by an angel on your left shoulder.)

-Alayhi-salam means 'Upon Him/Her Be Peace'. It is a respectable phrase said after mentioning a Prophet, an Imam or other very high-status figures. It is often represented by the acronym (AS), or the English acronym of Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH).

Dhul Qarnain (also pronounced Zhul Qarnain by some) - mentioned in the Quran as the one who built the wall which trapped Yajuj wa Majuj (gog and magog) behind the barrier (wall)...
...interesting to note that the wall in question could very well be Daryal Gorge in the Caucuses - Dar - e - Alan was known as the gate of the Alans, who were the tribe that lived north of the Caucuses.
here are some pics of Daryal gorge, which I took from google earth:
notice the massive girder type iron things at the foot of the gorge, they have not been moved.
Here is a close up from eye level view:
This is also the narrowest point in the gorge, and is idea to build a wall that will separate the gog maggoggies from the rest of the world south of the Caucuses...
