Do the Unified Physical Forces of the Universe Give Proof of Tawhid?

And your Allah is One Allah. There is no god but He,
Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Al Baqara 163

Our visible universe gives us a microcosm into how existence is set up, so within our universe we can make inferences on how consciousness works on a physical/mechanical level for humans and theoretically may work for Allah.

There is a strong belief amongst physicist that the laws of physics are unified, in other words all the forces of the universe, from gravity to electromagnetism, are unified at some level of interaction (research "theory of everything"). Assuming the forces of nature are unified, we can conclude thatwhenever the whole universe causes a part to change, the part that changes causes the whole universe to change. The whole of it has power and awareness over its entirety. In this sense it is conscious of itself and all of its manifestations, however the consciousness of humans is not like the consciousness of Allah.

Humans experience pain and pleasure according to what harms or benefits us. Allah cannot be harmed.

“Let not those grieve thee who rush headlong into
Unbelief: Not the least harm will they do to Allah.
Those who purchase Unbelief at the price of faith,-
not the least harm will they do to Allah, but they will
have a grievous punishment.” Al’Imran 176-177
“to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own
souls. Al Nisa 195
Humans have limited knowledge. Allah knows and has power over all things.

Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a
grievous penalty, and put others in your place; but
Him ye would not harm in the least. For Allah hath
power over all things. Al Tawbah 39


Say: "Will ye worship, besides Allah, something
which hath no power either to harm or benefit you?
But Allah,- He it is that heareth and knoweth all
things." Al Ma'idah 76
These ayats show that the “mind” of Allah is not like the mind of humans. The mind of humans requires a body of senses to gather information, but the “mind” of Allah is all knowing and all powerful due to the oneness and unification of its power.


“Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth;
in the alternation of the night and the day; in the
sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of
mankind; in the rain which Allah Sends down from the
skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an
earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He
scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds,
and the clouds which they Trail like their slaves
between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are
Signs for a people that are wise.” Al Baqara 164
