:sl:

Read the translation or tafseer of the verses you are reciting alongside it or after reading a certain portion and that way you will have more concentration on the verses. Take regular breaks to. Take some time out before commencing reading each portion by Imagining that you are going to read the beautiful words of Allah which are the best and most magnificent words in the universe. Be in awe of the beauty of the words of Allah. Imagine that Allah is watching you recite his words.

Read smaller portions and then the translation or tafseer so that you may understand those words and then take some time to reflect upon them and also try your best to act upon them. This is the best way of reciting the Qur'an, even if it takes you far longer. It is quality not quantity that really counts.

May Allah enable us to read, learn and implement the Qur'an in our daily lives. Ameen
