Eid Greetings of the Sahaba (Companions of the Holy Prophet SAWS):

Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajr Al-Asqalani (rahimahullah) said:“We have related in “Mahaamiliyaat” with a chain of narration that is authentic (hasan), from Jabyr ibn Nufayr who said: ‘When the companions of Allah’s Messenger (sulAllahu alaihi wa salaam) met on the day of ‘Eid, they would say to each other,
تَقَبَّلَ اللهُ مِنَّا وَمِنكُم

‘Taqaballahu minna wa minkum
(may Allah accept from you and us ).”

[Al Mahamiliyyat; hasan isnad; see Fath ul Bari 2:446]

Ibn Qudaamah mentioned in al-Mughnee (2/259) that Muhammad ibn Ziyad said: I was with Abu Umamah al Bahili (rahimahullah) and some other companions of the Prophet (sulAllahu alaihi wa salaam). When they returned from the eid, they said to each other, ‘Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum (May Allah accept it from you and us).

Asalamu Alaikum Wr Wb

Taqabbal Allahu Mina Wa Minkum - May Allah accept it from us & you.

May he enable us to continue the good we acquired from Ramadan

May he forgive us for our minor & major sins & any short comings in our deeds.

May he enable us to remember him & get closer to him throughout the year.

May he enable us to resist our nafs (desires) & whispers of Shaythan.

May he abundantly reward the ill, oppressed & persecuted who patiently persevere.

May he enable us to experience another blessed Ramadan.

May you & your family have a wonderful & blessed Eid! Ameen
