Dear All

I have been ill for a long time now, and I deprived my husband of intimacy for a long time (7 months) because of my illness.

I am getting better now - but I was seriously thinking of asking my husband to have a nikkah with another woman just for marital relations.

Was this thinking of mine incorrect?

Please advise. :-[

intimacy doesnt have to be sexual and whilst you were depriving your husband you were depriving yourself too

assalamu alaikum

if you intended to save your husband from temptation then may Allah grant you jannah for that intention alone. what a noble intention. what a noble sentiment.

It's not a bad intention if you want to save him from sin etc. but that is a pretty drastic 'solution'... it seems as though you've resorted to that due to not desiring to make it work in the first place. Almost as though you've given up.

InshaAllah your illness will go away but in the mean time, intimacy with husband need not be 'full on' and there are ways in which you can fulfill his desires which your illness would not get in the way of (just an assumption as the full nature of your illness is not known).

depends on how z personality of ur husband. personally i think most of ppl can sacrifice upto that limit that they can wait for some time. so if u think u will got recovered, then there is no need to think such.

A marriage is supposed to be a lifelong commitment, not a fix to a temporary problem. What would happen the day when you have gotten well and are ready to resume normal marital life? If your husband has not complained, you should not assume that he can't handle the abstinence, even if it's sweet of you to think of him.
