Poetry: My Shahadah

My Shahadah to you

This statement in abundance;

So honest, so true;

La ilaha illallah Muhammadur rasulu-llah;

With guidance I have come back to you, through the greed and the lies;

My path you set for me like a bee to their hive;

How could I deny your Ayats your word, your truth;

When the proof of your existence is in every atom of this room;

From the rain on the plains, which delivers our food;

To the simple exchange of the sun for the moon;

Thank you for the strength you give me to plough through each day;

And providing me with guidance and a prophet to show me the way;

The Qur’an is pure knowledge and i am hooked to the bait;

Blind if you don’t believe this, oh i pity thy fate;

But bare this in mind; it is still not too late;

Deliver this message i am sure he will appreciate;

La ilaha illallah muhammadur rasulu-llah;

May my past sins be washed away;
