Vander Hoven, a psychologist from Netherlands announced his new discovery about the effect of reading the Qur’an and repeating the word ALLAH.

The Dutch professor confirms his discovery with studies and research applied on many patients over a period of three years.

Some of his patients were Non-Muslims while others couldn't speak Arabic. They were trained to pronounce the word
“ALLAH” clearly.

The result was great!

Particularly on those who suffered from dejection and tension.

The psychologist explained how each letter in the word
“ALLAH” affects healing of psychological diseases.

He pointed out in his research that pronouncing the first letter in the word
“ALLAH” which is the letter (A) released from the respiratory system, controls breathing.

He added that pronouncing the velar consonant
(L) in the Arabic way, with the tongue slightly touching the upper part of the jaw producing a short pause and then repeating the same pause constantly relaxes the aspiration.

Also, pronouncing the last letter which is the letter (H)
makes a contact between the lungs and the heart and in turn, this contact controls the heartbeat.

As for the other thread, I'd read it online but I can't recall where :/ Sorry..

Shukran. Until you gain full membership, you may type in the web address without including 'www'.

I found the following article whilst searching for Van der Hoven:

http://eshev.blogspot.com/2006/04/va...port-rant.html

I think many valid points are made in this article......

This topic has also been discussed on this forum previously: http://www.islamicboard.com/health-s...mail-true.html

By any chance, are you 'Egyptballer'? : )

I notice that this is not by any means a new story, although it keeps being reported as new:

From 2009: http://www.islamicboard.com/health-s...mail-true.html

The topic is essentially Muslims seeking approval from fabricated kaffir scholars? I don't understand- Do you need van der to tell you the benefits of calling upon Allah swt?

I'll be waiting for independent to use the google engine to find for me the topic I requested!

The link that I have posted in my second comment justifiably questions van den hovens study.....and which I have alreadly agreed upon.

However, there are many other benefits of the word ALLAH (being the topic of this thread) - which can insha Allah be discussed.

I will do that now henceforth :ia: :)

You're right, the article does contain valid points..

The article says "The name of the University or Institution is not mentioned, nor the location or dates. I scoured the Internet and could not find this report or this professor, despite searching for various versions of his/her name."
However, there is a missionary by the name Mark Vander Hoven: vanderhoven.myadventures.org/?filename=bio

I wasn't aware of the topic being discussed earlier :hmm: My sincere apologies about that...

And no, I'm not Egyptballer :)
