Asalaamu Alaikum,

They came from people drifting away from the message of Tawheed (Islam).

That's why Allah(swt) sent many messengers, again and again, calling them back to Islam.

Given that he peddles the same very tired rhetoric all lost Christians do I rather think the answer to that is obvious.
I don't think they teach them logic in indoctrination school.. worse yet they don't teach them how to be honest about their person!

But in all Three Books the message is not the same, neither in The Bible The Torah or The Quran, its differant message and it promotes differant relgion

He already answered your Q. When people strayed God sent a messenger to set them aright:
1 verse(s) matched.
Al-Baqara [2:38]

Qulna ihbitoo minha jameeAAan faimma yatiyannakum minnee hudan faman tabiAAa hudaya fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona
2:38 We said: "Get ye down all from here; and if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from me, whosoever follows My guidance, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

It is right there in chapter II- do you ever read? If you read the Quran you won't have so many pedantic Q's and if you read the replies you won't ask the same Q over and over!

best,

^o) OH RLLY?

The first 3 commandments say:

I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth.

The Bible Says:

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."

The Quran says:

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Raheem
Qul huwa Allah hu ahad
Allah hu 's-samad
Lam yalid wa lam yulad
Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad

He is Allah, the One! Allah, the eternally Besought of all! He begetteth not nor is he begotten. And there is none comparable unto Him.

Every prophet came to remind us of God's One-ness, of Tawheed! Monotheism!! All 3 books have the same message. The difference is that the Torah and the Bible are edited by people and have been changed, the orginal message is the same as the Message in the Quran.

Take some time to read.

that's if you delve into the meaning of the word "deen" in Islam which is often loosely translated as "religion" in the english language (and that word "religion" has been loaded and often taken out of context in the western hemisphere, the word "deen" is used to mean "way of life".
and the word Islam means to attain peace with God through submission to His Will and Authority.

Almighty God clearly tells us in the Quran:

Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.
And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them
- out of jealous animosity between themselves.
And whoever disbelieves in the signs of Allah , then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.
Quran 3:19

so we can see that submission to the will of God was the way of All the Prophets pbut - regardless of the directions given to them.
and yes, Adam pbuh also had that way of life and was under instruction to obey the commands - though man is created weak.

the commands would also be different from time to time and this makes perfect sense - i take it you know that marrying one's sister or brother is forbidden in Islam, but at one time, it was most likely allowed (twins or no twins) for the children of Adam to continue.
to say that God "changed His mind" would be sheer ignorance on the part of the one who assumes so, people's understanding and requirements in terms of universal etiquette changed until the sending of the final Messenger of God to mankind. he is mentioned as "the Prophet" or "that Prophet" in the old and new testaments.

so yes, the way of life has ALWAYS been the same - submit to the will of God, and attain peace from Him.

People change the laws to suit themselves and Allah constantly sent reminders to call them back to the true message. Over time these splinters became their own religion and the real message was lost.

As for Adam and Eve, it isn't clear. I remember reading in some places that Adam (as) was a Prophet of God. He did receive revelations from Allah, since the Qur'an says he was taught words to ask forgiveness with from Allah when he was made to exit Jannat.

Allah sent His message to every nation so that on the Day of Judgment no one would have an excuse that they did not know anything of Allah. That is why they will be asked if any Messengers were sent to them. When they reply, "yes", then they will have no excuse. Allah gave everyone a chance to accept His message of Oneness, but after Allah sent those religions then people changed them.

The only religion which was not changed is Islam, since the Holy Qur'an is guarded by Allah Himself. It is for all of mankind and it is safe-guarded by Allah until the Day of Judgment, and that is why no more laws will be revealed to mankind.

Thus, all religions originally were the same. The Holy Prophet (saw) brought the same religion that everyone else before him brought. He confirmed what those past Prophets brought, that is why on the Day of Judgment only Muslims will be the witnesses that the past Prophets brought their messages to mankind, because Allah has given us a Book which testifies to this.

I think you should read Ibn Kathir's "Stories of the Prophets" in order to learn about the past Prophets in some detail. He has mentioned a lot in there.

This problem you are countering is related to Arabic language. In Arabic language Islam means to submit and all the prophets were ordered to submit to only one God and this is the main concept of all religion. Islam which is the title is the title that is for our religion and has the same meaning. In other words all the previouse religions had the meaning of "Islam" as submiting but in different names. In our situation we have the meaning of submitng and name of our religion is Islam.
