If Asr starts at 1:55 how come the congregation prayer for it is at 2:30?? is it classed as late? I'm wondering at what point is reading a salah classed as being late?? is there a 40 minute window or something after which its classed as late and away from the appointed time??

Assalamu'alaikum

My young brother, you are in UK, aren't you?. Asr time at 1:55 that you know is "Asr 1 time", while Muslims who performed Salah Asr at 2:30 are Muslims who follow "Asr 2 time".

There are two different Asr time in UK, it's because there is difference opinion on Asr time between Hanafi madhab and other madhab.
