Assalamu Aleykum,
I just wanted to ask: if you have sinned and feel genuine regret, and pray for forgiveness, can I be sure that Allah will pity me and forgive me? I just always have doubts that however much I pray it will not be enough and I feel so much guilt for this

Yes. But don't let this thought carry you away.

These doubts are from shaytan. Shun them.

besides repentance , do some good deeds also like give sadaka etc.

Allah loves repentance , so don't worry . In sha Allah , u will be forgiven ( if not already ).

Allah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they to whom Allah will forgive and Allah is Ever AllKnower, AllWise.
