And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' "
And Moses said, "If you should disbelieve, you and whoever is on the earth entirely - indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy."
Quran Surah 14 - Ayat 7 & 8
We must remember that our worship or our disobedience does not benefit or harm Allah. It is only beneficial or harmful for ourselves.
