Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “A man came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, who among the people is most deserving of my good companionship?’ He said, ‘Your mother.’ The man asked, ‘Then who?’ He said, ‘Your mother.’ He asked, then who?’ He said, ‘Your mother.’ He asked, ‘Then who?’ He said, ‘Your father.’”

No where does it say that wife is classed as, "deserving of my good companionship."
May Allah protect us from this.

i guess your wives will teach your children of you.

a hadith is a hadith, the next bit was open to interpretation.

my wife would probably stop cooking for me if i told her that.

...i only just watched the video, i dont even know! people are nuts. i cant even imagine.

forgive me, i dont get out much.

also the quran uses "your women" ...actually it probably says wives aswell.

i may need to read it again.

I'm sorry if i misunderstood you so please feel free to correct me if so, the Qur'aan and hadeeth inform us of how one should treat their wives, in other words it is encouraged to have a 'good companionship' with ones wives, to treat them well , with mercy and kindness etc.

I understand and believe that a mother is to be respected in all form, no doubt, but this does not take away the fact that one should also treat his wife well. We should treat both well and treat neither unfairly, must learn to do justice between one another, in shaa Allaah
