Asalaamu Alaikum,

This issue is completely new to me as I always used to raise my hands and make Dua that my salaat is accepted and ask for forgiveness for all shortcomings in the salah after each obligatory salat.

However, I am now reading that to raise hands in this manner is a Bidah? Can we make Dua after salaat? Does one just say salaam and walk away in that case?

Also, can some one please clarify for me the exact supplications during Dhikr and the number of times? I know the amount of times is 33 33 and 34 but I am unsure of the order and exactly which part of Dhikr is said 34 times.

In short, making individual Du'a after prayers is established from the Sunnah.

As for the Dhikr, it is:
33 times SubhanAllah سبحان الله
33 times Alhamdulillah الحمد لله
34 times Allahu Akbar الله اكبر
