Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarkatuhu.
Bismillahir rahmanir raheem.
Alhamdulillahi rabbil aAAlameen
Arrahmanirraheemi Maaliki yaumiddeen
Iyyaka naAAbudu waIyyaka nastaeen
Ihdinas Siratal mustaqeema Siratal alladeena
anamta alayhim
Ghairil maghdubi alayhim walladaleen.
Ameen.
I am 18, male.
I live in India.
I was born to Hindu parents who have been
always very particular about following the
customs of their religion. The same almost got
induced in me until a long time.
My mother is a widow now and I have a
teenaged sister. Mother sent me outside the
state for studies.
There, Alhamdulillah, I came across many
Muslim friends. I learned a lot about deen from
them.
I started with offering the Jumuah prayer and
went on with praying five times a day very soon.
I had been quite zealous about practising Islam
as a lifestyle. On my return to home this winter,
I shared my mere knowledge of deen-e-islam
with my mother and also that hindus are lagging
behind before God's eyes by practising shirk.
Now she's insecure that I might have converted
and this will earn her demeanor in the society.
I also promised her one day that I won't offer
namaz against her because she doesn't want it
and it hurts her.
But again, when I go back to my hostel, I won't
be able to abstain from salah. Islam has touched
me deep in the heart.
But it's my duty to take care of my widowed
mother and younger sister
Somebody please suggest me something. Allah
will bless you.
Jazakullah.
Fiamanillah.
