Asalamualaykum everyone, hope you are all in the best of health and imaan. I know I haven't been on this forum for the longest time and I think everyone has forgotten about me and there are some new members as well I miss this forum it helped me out during the hardest of times and was my place to write down some rhymes anyway the reason I have been busy is because I have been studying MBBS and alhamdulillah gave my final professional examination a month or so ago now on vacation waiting for my results which by Allahs will in sha Allah will be a pass please makes dua for me like immense dua if I pass then I am a doctor in sha Allah. Now I need your help there are many members on this forum and I'm sure some are doctors and I really need to know where you all studied your postgraduate degrees. My interest is being a pediatrician so if there are any pediatrici and it would of real help if you could tell me where it is good how did you proceed? What degrees are good as we'll as all over the world which universities are good. Jazakumullah khair for taking your I time for reading this. Asalamualaykum

Will it not be possible to study in your home town sister?

This would be the best option for a muslimah - to be with in the safety of her family in shaa Allah.

There is great reward to be able to serve the creation of Allah (in all manners).
There is greater reward to do so, by being extremely mindful of the commands of Allah and His messenger (sallalahu alaihi wasalam).

May Allah (subhanawataála) grant you success in your exams, barakaah in your work and earnings, and reward you greatly in both the worlds.
Ameen

Asalamualaykum I have been studying in my hometown without my family wish I could stay within but ye and have sadly been through that my family wants to send me abroad as my degrees won't be recognized if I don't get a degree from abroad and everything I have done alhamdulillah is for the sake of Allah got into this field for that same reason i am also planning on bringing my older brother with me wherever I do in sha Allah and Uk seems like the most likely option. I have no intention of stayin in uk,just to study there. I have also thought of Malaysia but I don't have much information on anything so would be good if I got some help jazakallah khair for the swift reply sis appreciate your concern

Many people who become doctors take a foreign exam right away because the material is still fresh in their minds. Two exams are the UK post graduate exam (I think it is called FRCP) and the American exam (I think it's called ECFMG exam). You should get information about both exams and then see which is better for you. I believe both exams can be taken in your country. FRCP is in two parts. You take part one and then work for some time and after you complete the necessary work, you take the second part.
So research these two exams, contact their organizations for more information, get the required revision material and pretests, register for the exam, do the necessary preparation, and then take the exam. Good luck doctor!
