View Full Version : Glad tidings, O martyrs of Gaza, and woe to us

A man who could not have children for 24 years but finally Allah blessed him with a child. This child was one of the 4 children that was playing on the beach when a missile landed and took his life along with the other 3.

By Abu Musab

Alhamdulillāh! Indeed, Gaza is a blessed land within the blessed region of al-Shām and now, in this most blessed month, it is being raised in rank again as Allāh showers His countless blessings upon it.

O people of Gaza, Allāh has taken 100 of you as martyrs in this most blessed month of Ramadān, killed by those who evoked Allāh’s anger! What glad tidings inshā’Allāh.

In this blessed month of Ramadān, where we read the Qur’ān by day and hear its recitation in our masājid by night. Let us reflect on the āyah in Sūrah Āli-‘Imrān:

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allāh as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, rejoicing in what Allāh has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them; that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. They receive good tidings of favour from Allāh and bounty and [of the fact] that Allāh does not allow the reward of Believers to be lost. [1]

.......I end by requesting we do the following:

Make du’ā sincerely today in the most blessed hours of the week for our brothers and sisters who are oppressed and for Allāh to destroy their oppressors;

To give charity to the Muslims of Gaza, you can donate easily by clicking here, but do it today;

https://www.muslimaid.org/donate/?ut...ed-the-Fasting

Try and do all that’s in our means, whether it is lobbying MPs [3], calling and writing into mainstream and social media, to increase the public awareness of the plight of the oppressed in Gaza and elsewhere;

Tell another Muslim to do the same inshā’Allāh!

O Allāh forgive us for our many shortcomings!

O Allāh give victory to our brothers and sisters in Gaza like you gave our beloved Prophet victory in Ramadān at al-Badr.

O Allāh destroy the oppressors wherever they are and make examples of them.

We end by sending peace and blessings upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallAllāhu alayhi wa sallam.

For those Muslim Parents who lost their Children in Gaza !

Khalid al-'Absi said, "A son of mine died and I felt intense grief over his loss. I said, 'Abu Huraira, have you heard anything from the Prophet PBUH to cheer us regarding our dead?' He replied, 'I heard the Prophet PBUH said:

"Your children are roaming freely in the Garden" [Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 145, Sahih by Albani]

In another narration the Prophet PBUH said:

"Small children are the fowls of Paradise. If one of them meets his father (or he said his parents) he would take hold of his cloth, or he said with his hand as I take hold of the hem of your cloth (with my hand). And he (the child) would not take off (his hand) from it until Allah causes his father to enter Paradise" [Sahih Muslim Book 45, Hadith 198]

......Mr. Obama - do you have a heart?

Open letter from Dr Mads Gilbert regarding horrific situation in Shifa hospital

I invite you - spend one night - just one night - with us in Shifa. Disguised as a cleaner, maybe.
I am convinced, 100%, it would change history.
Nobody with a heart AND power could ever walk away from a night in Shifa without being determined to end the slaughter of the Palestinian people.
But the heartless and merciless have done their calculations and planned another "dahyia" onslaught on Gaza.
The rivers of blood will keep running the coming night. I can hear they have tuned their instruments of death.
Please. Do what you can. This, THIS cannot continue.

P.S. The death toll is now 403 and the injured are 3055 in a 13 day period.

Absolutely heartbreaking.

Allah loves them more then their near kin and anyone else in this world.

The evil doers will face Allah's punishment. If they deny this, where does it say in Judaism that killing, stealing other people possessions is acceptable just because they are not jewish? Who do they think the God of Prophet David, Solomon, Moses peace be upon them is to endorse such killing?

Prophet Moses peace be upon him never agrees with their actions.
Prophet David peace be upon him neither agrees with their actions.
Prophet Solomon peace be upon him neither agrees with their actions.
Neither will Prophet Ibrahim peace be upon him will ever agree with their actions.

Wait till then on the Day of Judgement, where they find that the Prophets Moses, David, Solomon and Ibrahim peace be upon them pray for the Muslims. We regularly ask peace and blessings to be given to all the Prophets and pray that they pray for us, as we value, believe, respect and love all the Prophets.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. God of Gabriel and Micheal.

A muslim wouldn't be afraid of the enemies actions. IF that was the case then I think the Palestinians would have stopped a long time ago.

Muslims are seeing the mutilation, the muslims present who are related to the deceased, to those at hospitals, to arranging funerals.

In Islam, we are as one big body what happens to them we feel for. Unfortunately pictures do show in reality what goes on, as people don't understand the situation. Neither would this be hidden on the Day of Judgement on the crimes and the effects it had on people. Neither would the people in Paradise feel uneasy seeing those in the fires of Hell . So its OK for the enemies to see what is going on and not us?? They have died as martyrs and people have a right to remember them, and what they have been through. I they didn't die but still had the wounds would it still be bad? It goes back to people who don't live in war zones know what is going on, and the Israelis wish to suppress even these images and list of children's names in the media. I am not going to.

Any Muslim looking at those pictures are not feeling or saying that the dead are any less respected, rather that their suffering is highlighted. They are not respected any less and never will be.

If their wounds were shown and they did not die, then people may not complain. But people don't live in war zones and don't get what people face, and pictures do this. I dislike people hiding details and information and thereby preventing people from having an understanding on what people go through, ie there was a case in the UK of a murderer of 3 young children, cannot remember his name but I think it was in 1979, the full details were never released for fear of public reprisals and recently tried to hide behind human rights laws. People sometimes assume that people are killed and not think about body parts blown, mutilated body parts.

But your argument is that they are being disrespected, but they are not, and it highlights what they go through. They are highly respected and valued martyrs. People are already seeing their corpses, just because it happens to be people from another country or even within medical circles to highlight what occurs to the human body.

They are RESPECTED, LOVED, VALUED MARTYRS. Nothing can ever take this away from them. Whatever fatwas you are using doesn't make it a sin to show someone the suffering that has occurred. People wish to show people what has happened, anyone if they attacked, beaten, had acid thrown on their faces. It maybe that your going as far as saying that their suffering, somehow makes them disrespected, gives them a poor image -but it does NOT.

Of course, is it not the evil doers who like to conceal the crimes from the days since the first murder. They will be reminded, and they will be confronted on the Day of Judgement.

Name of Questioner: Hisham

Reply date: 2014/07/09

Question: Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. Is it permissible to say du`aa’ Al-Qunut in every obligatory Prayer because of the war in Gaza? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.

consultant: Sano Koutoub Moustapha
consultant: `Abdul-Majeed Subh

Answer
Wa `alaykum as-salamu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

Dear questioner, thank you very much for having confidence in us, and we implore Allah to guide the baffled Muslim Ummah to the Right Path, and to redress the balance of power and restore sovereignty to Muslims in the near future, insha’ Allah.

As far as Islamic Shari`ah is concerned, it is permissible to make du`aa’ Al-Qunut in every obligatory Prayer for our brothers and sisters in Gaza. In fact, it is recommended to do so and to think of other practical ways to help stop the current aggression against them. During times of affliction and crises, Muslims, rulers and the ruled, scholars and individuals should lend a helping hand to afflicted or oppressed people. Du`aa’ is a strong weapon that any Muslim should use.

Responding to your question, Dr. Sano Koutoub Moustapha, deputy chairman of the International Fiqh Academy and professor of fiqh and its principles at the International Islamic University, Malaysia, states,

Thank you for your kind question.

It is strongly recommended to recite du`aa’ Al-Qunut in all Prayers for our beloved brothers and sisters in Gaza seeking divine assistance for them, and wishing that Almighty Allah grants mercy to all those who have been killed unjustly and inhumanly. This is firmly in line with the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) practice when the Muslims faced difficult moments and situations such as the situation of people of Gaza. Surely, the people of Gaza badly need our continuous Prayers and du`aa’s for them in all our prostrations. The oppressors and those who help them must be ready for their days which will surely and certainly come.

Moreover, Sheikh `Abdul-Majeed Subh, a prominent Azharite scholar, adds:
It is permissible for Muslims to offer du`aa’ Al-Qunut in each obligatory Prayer during times of calamity and affliction. We are now facing a great catastrophe and it is therefore good to offer this du`aa’ in the daily Prayers.

Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) is reported to have said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made qunut consecutively for one month in all the five daily Prayers. At the end of each Prayer, after saying "Allah hears him who praises Him" in the last rak`ah, he would supplicate Almighty Allah against Ri`l, Dhakwan, and `Usiyyah of Banu Sulaim, and the people behind him would say Ameen.

In Gaza, amongst the rubble, a brother searching for any survivors shouted 'No one is alive, they are all dead' until a few moments later he found this verse of the Quran:

"And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not." [2:154]
