It's fair tk say that some people we only hear bad stuff about islam and not know much about the religion and didn't really get a fair chance at learning or someone may not have taught him or the person has good heart and follow his father religion because that is all he knows is it fair that they go to hell ? Or should is it every job in humanity to discover islam r is there verses that maybe she's some light on this?

Imam al-ghazali (famous Muslim scholar) stated that if a non-muslim received a distorted view of Islam in his or her lifetime, he or she would not be accountable because the pure pristine message has not been presented. But if you know the truth of Islam and reject it. Than Allah knows best.

Related by Sahih Hadith. Related by Abu Hurairah (R.A) reported
The Prophet Muhammed SAW said,

"A prostitute saw a dog lolling around a well on a hot day and hanging his tongue from thirst. She drew some water for it in her shoe, so Allah forgave her."

Allah is the most just and most merciful. His mercy is bigger than his wrath. Just because someone is a disbeliever, that does not mean they are going to hell. Allah knows best.

Inshallah this helps :)

Peace to you..

If I were to pick a line on this matter it would have to be

Narrated Abu Huraira (RadhiAllahu 'anhu):

Allah's Messenger ﷺ said: "The deeds of anyone of you will not save you (from the (Hell) Fire)."

They said: "Even you (will not be saved by your deeds), O Allah's Apostle ﷺ?"

He (Allah's Messenger ﷺ) said: "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His mercy on me. Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (paradise)."

[Sahih Bukhari - Book 76, Hadith 470]

So, really, Allah determines the fate of people and we enter only through His Will and Mercy.

If they have a good heart they will seek for the purpose of their life,

And if they do so with a desire for the truth, they will be guided by Allah tala,

Pleading ignorrance is an excuse for the insane, mentality unstable Etc,

Everyone else has an obligation to seek the truth.

If someone follows the ways of their parents, and does not care to investigate whether it is the truth from their Lord then they are culpable.

Also if you read the Quran, no one in the akhira is ever quoted to have said "I didn't know" as an excuse when they end up in Jahannam.

Allah tala states clearly that he has made the signs clear for all of mankind, and sent prophets and messengers (peace be upon them) to every nation on earth,

"The ultimate ignorance is the rejection of something you know nothing about yet refuse to investigate" (Dr. Wayne Dyer)

I'd say it is the duty of both Muslims and Non-Muslims to seek the truth. Learning, reflecting, and reforming is a life long process that's not obtained from a YouTube video.

It's very easy for us in this modern age to see the bad aspects or have contempt in anything we encounter, be it religious or non-religious. Too many people exhibit blind ignorance, unchecked pride (nationalism, educational status, socio-economic status), and arrogance to see the good in the world.

Adult-aged bigots (a sad sight to see) are no better than child bullies in their closed mindedness. Right of free speech comes with personal responsibility. Look at how feckless tabloid writers (intellectually deceptive mainstream media) spread provocative rumors about public figures or groups of people.

Generally speaking, it's not ideal to suppress emotions but they do serve their purpose. For me, I detach myself from emotion when it comes to learning.

This hadith is especially poignant about how the means justify the end result, and not the other way around.

Sadly, in today's social climate, getting things done by compromising moral integrity seems to be commonplace.

So called "civilized" and "educated professionals" would rather be right than to be nice or show an ounce dignity to fellow human beings. /rant

Greetings and peace be with you greenhill; thanks for sharing,

He (Allah's Messenger ﷺ) said: "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His mercy on me.
The question of salvation is beyond my understanding, The Jews are God's chosen people, Christians are chosen by Christ, and in Islam, Allah chooses whom he wills.

Who is right, Christianity is split into a thousand denominations, Judaism and Islam have divisions, somehow Allah makes sense of what we all call 'Our Truth'

How many millions of people have lived and died, Jews, Christians, Muslims, atheist, Hindu etc?

I have family and friends of many faiths and no faith, I pray that our God will be merciful to all.

In the spirit of praying to a merciful and forgiving God

Eric
the Children of Israel were Gods chosen People, since they disobeyed God All-Mighty, twisted the teachings of the prophets (peace be upon them) and even Murdered Prophets (peace be upon them) they became the lowest of the low,

the title of the Chosen people has been taken from them and given to another nation, the Ummah of Muhammad :saw:

as for Christianity they worship Jesus, have Pagan beliefs, and a man-made book, composed of the words of God+Prophets/Messengers+Historians+Porn

neither of the Above Religions (named after a Place/Person Judah/Judia, Christ) were ever Revealed by Allah ta'ala, nor do any of their Respective Scriptures state God All-Mighty claiming so,

the Only religion ever revealed by Allah azzawajal was and is Islam,
