Hey everyone. I read online that narcotic drugs are haram. Is there an exception for people with chronic pain who must use narcotic pain medicine for pain relief?

Hello Holly. There is difference between pain relief medicine that contains narcotic, and narcotic that made for 'fly' and not for medical purpose. Pain relief medicine that contain narcotic is allowed to be used if necessary.

By the way, what you mean with "narcotic drug" is narcotic that not for medical purpose, but for 'fly' (drunk).
