Assalaamu alaikum!

If you are interested in a huge and interesting gathering of Muslims in Toronto, Canada during the Winter vacation… (Overseas citizens are welcome, too!) try this link:

http://risconvention.com/convention/index.php

More than 20,000 people participate in this convention every year. It has great lectures on a wide variety of topics by well-known scholars and others, fabulous entertainment from some top names, and a large bazaar where you can buy a wide variety of things. Not to mention some great halal food! Finally, my children inform me that the Children's Program is amazing. (smile) They went last year, and are begging me to take them again!

If you can't attend in person, there is an option to live-stream the lectures.

And if you are looking for more in-depth learning and discussion with some top shuyoukh, there is the Knowledge Retreat, which happens in the days before the RIS Convention.

(smile) Not all details are posted early, but the good hotel spots and children's program are limited… so I'd suggest not waiting to the last minute to book.

May Allah Reward all those organizers and volunteers who make this wonderful event possible!
