So im here for some general advice on transitioning from wearing hijab to wearing niqab. I am a revert and i reverted almost two years ago alhamdulillah, i remember the anxiety i went through the first time i wore the hijab, i felt like everyone was looking at me, people i knew didnt know what to say and it was even more awkward when they pretended not to notice any change. This time around im again anxious especially with my timing, i feel right now the western world is very bitter and angry at muslims and im very afraid of the comments ill get, and in the area i live in just last week there were pictures online trending of people holding up signs saying that if ISIS didnt surrender they would start killing all muslims, so clearly that didnt help my anxiety. muslims in my area are rare, but even when you see one they're definitely not wearing full niqab. Right now i dont even wear abayas that much but im also transitioning into only wearing abayas outside. I dont know why i have such a strong urge right now in my life to make this change, it really seems like such a bad time to me, but recently iv just felt much more religious, praying extra, and reading the quran more than usual, even changing my name to an arabic one. It may be because im in such a stressful time in my life and thats when i turn to Allah the most, either way, im still anxious about this change.
