Salamun alaykum everyone.

We are about to engage in a quiz game between the members and the admin/moderators.

the objective of the game: one team poses a question and the next team will have 24 hours to come up with the answers or the points go to the questioning team.

We will have the following subjects:
General Islamic knowlege
The Quran
The biography of the Prophet (salla Allahu Alayhi wasallam)
Messengers and Prophets
The sahaba
Important islamic figures

we will also have different levels easy, medium, difficult, and ultra difficult. Respectively 1, 2,3 and 4 points.
The rules:

There will be no "thinking" allowed on the game thread. teams should collaborate on separate threads.

Teamwork is important in this game so all players must confirm the answer with their teammates before submitting answers as answers given on the thread will be the FINAL answer

tough right?

That's why teamwork will be a foundation in this game.

I will give the first question to the admins after everyone is clear on the rules

This new trivia game is called 'Face-Off'. In order to promote a friendly face-off and healthy trivia challenge, which should encourage us to learn and at the same time have a good time, we're going to see who ends up winning this Face-Off.

Participants:

Teams will consist of usergrous. In other words, there will be:

  • The Admin Team
  • SuperMods Team.
  • Mods Team.
  • Members Team (Members team can brainstorm in this thread)

Contrary to your opinions at this point, the amount of members on the team won't be of benefit, but rather, how well you work together. That is why the Admin team are confident that they will come out victorious in this challenge, Inshaa Allah.

Game Premises

This trivia will revolve around 7 trivia categories.

1) Knowledge of the Sahabah (radhiAllaahu anhum)

2) World History (General knowledge)

3) Name the famous Qur'an Recitor

4) The Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad, salah allahu 'alayhi wa salam.

5) The Lives of the Previous Prophets.

6) Famous figures (General Knowledge)

7) Qur'an Questions.

Teams can only ask questions from the above categories. Please be precise with your questions so that it is clear and understandable to everyone.

The trivia will start with the Admin Team alongside the challenger they choose. The 'Face-Off' challenge begins when the question is posted on their thread. The challenger will have 24 hours (max) to answer the question. If the question happens to be left unanswered, the Admin Team will immediately be awarded 1 point to their points basket. It means that their question is either too hard, or the other team lacks team effort.

If the challenger answers the question, they will get the chance to choose the next face-off. They cannot face-off with their previous challenger, but they must choose another team.

The objective of the game is to earn/answer 3 points from each category in the quickest possible time!

If a team member answers it correctly, it is upon any member from that group to pick up the task and ask a question from the 5 categories listed above. Please remember to name the challenger group! If for some reason the group doesn't answer the question, the other usergroups have the option to pick-up the question and answer it. The first group to answer correctly (6-12 hr time span) will get the point.

Side rules:

- First three answers from the challenger group will qualify. For example, if a group posts 20 answers, only the first three will be taken into consideration as the correct answer.

- A member cannot answer twice.

- A member cannot edit, nor change his/her answer. If the edit bar shows an editing signal, the answer will be ignored. However, if the member edits his/her answer due to a spelling error after his/her answer has been accepted as correct, that editing will be allowed. The challenger has to accept that it was only a spelling error, and that the entire answer wasn't changed. No points will be lost in this case.

The Admin team will commence the challenge with their question to the challengers.

^ actually those rules are slightly different from the ones I wrote in the op. My bad.

:embarrass

For convenience I think the admins/mods should be one team no? Unless everyone is OK with 3 teams.

Also does everyone agree with the brainstorming in diff threads? This is so there is no confusion on the thread.

Well do this to promote team work. You don't want to post the wrong answer without consulting your teammates.

Yes, I think Admins, SMs and Mods can be in a single team together because most of them are not much active. The other team can be Full Members and Limited Members together.

For brainstorming, a separate thread will be better.

The ayah's that are to be read upon Masih Ad-Dajjal are the first ten ayah's of Surah Al-Kahf (The cave).

The story about the young men is mentioned here in The 18th Chapter of The Holy Quran (Surah Al-Kahf) (from ayah 9-22)

18:13 It is We who relate to you, [O Muhammad], their story in truth. Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.

18:14
And We made firm their hearts when they stood up and said, "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never will we invoke besides Him any deity. We would have certainly spoken, then, an excessive transgression.
