I watched this movie when i was too young and i quite liked it

But recently i recognized that this movie was made to distort a greek muslim hero called Khayr ad-din barberousse (Baba Arrouj)
He was the chief of the Ottoman navy, i think in the movie they made him look like a criminal pirate.
The whole Europe was afraid of him, this is why they wanted to make him look bad.
