As you know Ramadhan is the month of the Qur'an, it is fast approaching. Let's test some of your knowledge. Answer these questions and the winner is awarded 500 rep points :).

Quiz ends Tuesday 9th June 20:00 GMT. The winner will be the one with most answers correct. Or if everyone has right answer then it will be the person who answered all of them correctly first. So be quick :D.

Even if you don't get answers right, don't worry at least you will learn something :ia:.

No Googling Allowed. However you can read the Qur'an to help you with your answers.

Riddle me this!

In the Qur'aan there is a mention of four unique mothers. Who were they?

1. A mother who was never born but married and had offspring?

2. A mother who was born but never married yet had offspring?

3. A mother born and married but never had any offspring?

4. A mother never born, never married, never had any offspring?

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

I hope you are well in shaa Allah.

1st: I don't think this question makes sense. How can something that was not born (doesn't exist in this case) get married and have offspring?

2nd: Maryam alaiha salam

3rd: Can't answer this.

4th:And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are maintaining their prayers.

But we need gogle to ind out what is the mother of the cities.

Meqqa or Medina or Jerusalem I guess

Are they all "who's"? Or can one be a "what"?

My 2nd attempt:

1. Hawa
2. Maryam
3. A'isha
4. Hoor al-ayn OR a city (mecca AKA umm-al qura) OR a book (Quran, umm al-kitab)

This is an enlightening thread and fun way to learn, first three were easy but the fourth question had me confused.

Can we keep this thread alive by adding more Quran quizzes?
